Another great video again! Thanks Gabriel. 0:51 Remembering that limbs move independent. Only move with what you need for blocking 2:02 Keep motions as small as possible. Over doing it will leave you exposed 3:16 Blinking. Keep looking at what is coming at you 4:38 Figure out your favourite defence for sparring. But make sure to have an alternative 5:54 Being able to combine blocking/head movement with foodwork.
It might be just be me but you sound abit under the weather I hope you feel better soon if that is the case and great video! If it's possible could you have some type of guide showing different ways to defend against some of the most common strikes like jab, teep, round kick, body hook etc
Always great job uploading loads of videos! Thank you for always being there to express us as better fighters or coaches! Have you seen Spence vs Crawford by any chance?! Man that is a spectacular fight wich you can dig in one of your videos! I was completely stunned! 🔥
I've been training for a little more than two years i have 13 fights with only 2 losses. I feel my defence is absolute ass, its decent but it needs work. But what i can say people is that you must be relaxed. Thats how youll flow and move more effective.
hi Gabriel thanks again for another banger! Been practicing muay thai for 8 months now and I attribute a lot of my success to you! I have a video request that I think would be of great value to the community, namely a video (or even a series) about how to block each strike. I had assumed (maybe to make my life easier) that a given strike only had one appropriate block (e.g. someone jabs, you parry), so point 4 of this video made me very curious!! Especially given that you mentioned 5 ways to block a jab :O
Training a couple of months now. Last week i got involved in a shark tank sparring, opened my big mouth, said i wanna be in de middle of the ring. Gassed myself completely against the first opponent because i forgot i was the one who keeps standing. Ended up dutch guarding the other 3 minutes/opponents while parrying and moving side to side or backwards because i didnt have anything left in the tank to throw without getting caught 😅
2 min in and i can say having started muay thai only 4 months ago i do this cause im not confident in my ability to block that and i reach out to block.
Hey gabriel today i lost mg 5th amateur mma fight of this year ..after Winning continuously in 2022 now i am losing every single fight since jan 2023 ..i feel now my moral is bit broken i reallly don't know how to keep up the mentality now ..can u give some advice
I got ripped off of my winnings in the Moroccan National Muai Thai competition by my coach, €100. Not a lot of money but we live in a third world nation where that money can be two weeks worth of food. All this shin conditioning and endless gut punches just to get shunned and exiled like it's not my money to ask for.
You're the closest thing I have to a coach, thanks for making these videos 😅
Go to a gym my friend! 🙂
I second that

Blinking and looking away are my struggles
Can you make a video about fighting to your phisique for someone with Bellow average cardio?
Get your cardio where it needs to be. Cardio wins fights at low to mid level
@@Octofingers777 i got 3 win and three loses but all of my lose came from the fact that i gassed out in round three due to asthma
