Ranking EVERY Wii Party Minigame.

- Wii Party, a treasure trove of Minigames Galore. Today I will be ranking every single mini game that Wii Party can offer, and believe me there is a lot of them. It may have driven me to the point of near insanity, but join me for a mystical tier list adventure as we decided which games are certified S tier and which will be stinking it up in F.

What's your favourite Wii Party Game?
Chop Chops is the best and this is a hill I will gladly die on!
@@genius31415 Facts
@@marbleracingplus4429 Time to get angry at the vegetables!
Teamwork temple
@@jamzgamez3368 You have a point there, let's also get angry at the button!
Zombie Tag being B and not S is criminal
deadaaaaaaas
That is my fav mini game🙄
Who TF doesn't like Zombie Tag🙄
It's the slayest🙄💅✨
@@not_jacknjellify youve made me not like zombie tag anymore
@@olliemalvery true
Sir you are now wanted by the Wii party community
I love the little detail in chop chop where if you need to chop an onion, your mii starts crying.
Back Attack not being S tier is a crime /s
I always love when he genuinely laughs at his own jokes half way through telling them.
Me too
26:46 this one isn't about how hard you move the wiimote, it's about the timing. You're supposed to do it as soon as the spring is fully compressed
Poofessure is typing…
I heard poofs favorite mini game is cosmic capers
When I was a kid I used to play Wii Party by myself by connecting four wii remotes and trying to control all of them at the same time. Going through this list I can't help but categorize it into "games that sort of work while holding four different wii remotes" and "games that would be better if child-me had friends". Ah, good times.
I'm so sorry for that, if I had a chance I would've played with you
Tropical Jump and Back Attack were the joy of my family. I miss our Wii.
as someone who never owned a wii this video makes me feel like i missed something crucial
rip
YOU DID OMG
You did
my wii was the only thing keeping me sane as a child 🙏🏼
You can actually juke the three players in Poserobics into making a choice, then switching it at the last second. It's a lot more fun that way, so I'd put it in B. Lumber Whacks also has some strategy, where you can throw your log faster than normal to try and make the one player fall off balance, allowing you to actually hit them. Overall, also a B.
the sheer amount of joy this gave me
anyway my point is the pair minigames are absolutely goated and anyone who dislikes the sheep should be smited on the spot
Balance boat is honestly goated tbf
@@BogBoyOfficial frrrrr
and we can both agree i dont think anybody played friend connection lmao
@@SeelieDeco i played with my brother ONCE lmao
9:26
“Oh great, we all came first” 😂😂
That guy in 4th place: ….
14:33 another detail I like about this game is when you do get exactly the right amount the other miis look at you surprised, that's what makes counting worth it haha
I had such an awful traveling experience very recently and being able to just kick back and relax and watch this video felt like exactly what I needed. Thanks for the laughs Mr Bog!
I remember playing Back Attack endlessly with friends 😍 So much nostalgia!
Great video as always
Wii Party... the graceful swan that has stolen 100s of hours of my life. Oh the Memories
The 👶s faces are specific CPU Miis because they don't have facial features (apart from Chika but her blush is removed)
It's pretty amazing how consistently your videos manage to make me laugh. Your style really is something special!
Thankyou so much :))
Ain't no way it took you an hour to beat the CPU (what difficulty I didn't pay attention) on Delivery Duel
I can consistently beat the Master CPUs on that game
In the same boat as you brother. Might just be a skill issue on his part. He's playing Expert difficulty btw
I always thought smile snap was one of the best mini games. It was always so satisfying to get a perfect picture
Each to their own :)
26:47 You gotta swing the Wiimote UP when the pogostick is at the lowest omg 😭
The tier list background is beautiful! If it were a game, it would bump it up a tier just due to aesthetic
The ending scene is glorious, I love your green screen editing XD
Also, very cool to see Beanus and the other characters show up here an there !
18:44 The way you swing doesn't change anything, it all depends on when you press the A button.
Jude really hated the 1 vs 3 games a lot didn’t he
"A machine is better than me in a videogame so its bad" BogBoy, 2023
Good ranking but imo I would put Zombie Tag in S tier without doubt
This game was my childhood so I cannot tell you how excited I was for this video!!!
I wish I lived in a time that this was the most popular game ever. I mean i did but, you get what I'm saying. Amazing video. 35 minutes. Wow! I jumped out of my seat when I saw that lol
ah the good old days of wii
I love watching you and all your friends have fun playing the Wii console.
17:57 Well, Theo certainly CAN stay mad at it lol
This vid is really making me want to get my old wii out of the attic
Wii party is such a classic that I still play today
I still am the best at Cry Babies in my family, I even beat Matt first try
Can’t wait for the review of U party
I remember I always used to kick my family’s asses in Follow Your Face and to this day I have no idea how I’m able to keep track of where my face goes so consistently
I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS VIDEO SINCE 2012
With the wiggling game you gotta wiggle left to right not up and down
You forgot to rate Spot the sneak, the culmination of completing all 4 player minigames :(
7:55 And then there's zombie Beanus...
Yeah, new bogboy video! This is one of my favorite wii games, not sure why
26:49 You need to time you shaking the wiimote to the orange circle that appears under your pogo.
I severely disagree with a lot of these placings, but since Wii party is undoubtedly one of my favorite Wii games, I am just enjoying someone talking about it 😔✌️ great video, loved the fact that a lot of minigames matched their music in-game with the ones you put on video, amazing detail
Loved the Beanus cameo in the zombie game
Clicking this for a peaceful silly Sunday night! thank you kindly
You know I don't know I need this today
in the spring one you're supposed to move the remote when the spring is collapsed
Underrated masterpiece
15:30 If can accurately count to 5 secs after a timer with a rhythm, including pushing the stop button; It'd say you'd be able to perfectly do minigames like this without flinching and pressing the button waaaayyyy too early...
24:34 is actually a tactical hiding spot, because if only one person hides there, the seeker has less chance of finding everyone else
I love your jokes man. Adding to the charm of the tier list.
Seeing your cat stick it's head in a jug was the funniest thing I've seen all day
I don't know why it never connected with me that you would be playing Wii Party with your miis, and I felt like I was seeing famous people out in the while like the Stoke-on-Trent Steamers getting off the train! Like, I could imagine your mii counting the people on the train and then seeing the some of the team getting out and rushing for autographs!
My favorite, including my sister's, was the back attack one and teamwork temple. We loved the temple one so much for some reason XD.
The nostalgia haha ! F for Mr. Toe who got sacrificed during the experiment 😔
Thankyou! I may never walk again but atleast I got a Wii video out of it
Such dedication haha
Honestly... This has to be some of your best work dude. :D
You need to do a tutorial on how to recreate your mii dude
its sad that these types of bog boy videos dont get as much views as the others
I need to see the stoke on Trent steamers play board game island!! also, for the log jumping one, try moving the remote side to side rather than up and down :)
I think engine room's real name is ozymandius
change my mind
This is what I've been waiting for
I can tell there was a lot of work behind this video. I loved it!
Thankyou :))
Mr. Bog I very much enjoy your voice, thank you for rejuvenating me after a long day.
13:32 I did the same thing too! I spun the Wiimote around to make sure I'm going in the right direction.
16:28
Funniest crap ever
Christ, how's your foot after that experiment with the football minigame? I bet that hurt.
Great list though, there's something quite endearing with a gaming tier list done in the form of a college presentation.
Oh, also, just because I made a related comment in the community post announcing this video coming up:
4:47 "I did in fact, end up as a snowball which is the biggest humiliation in Jumbo Jump."
Glad to see the origin story behind why Engine Room's skiing trip in Austria gave him that injury to his confidence.
yk for the spring time game, you pump upwards, not downwards
when the spring is compressed you pump upwards
Rewatching this gem of a video bc it's just- it's just so good for reasons I cannot even process
Funny thing about Hide and Peek, is that it’s actually a better strategy to have one player hide behind the horses in the center. If you assume the hiders can’t coordinate to all hide in different spots, (they’re CPUs, or the seeker could hear human players talking), then if nobody hides behind the horses, the hiders only have a 91/216 (42.13%) chance of winning after the seeker can prove that nobody’s behind the horse. But if one player chooses to hide behind the horses (and they can guarantee that they’re the only one, because CPUs don’t hide there, and you can say it out loud to the seeker, since they’d just be able to see you anyway), then the seeker only has 4 guesses to finding the remaining two players, leading to a 5/9 (55.56%) chance of the hiders winning. Hiding in plain sight is literally a good thing, because it wastes a guess on a spot that the seeker can normally automatically eliminate.
If the hiders can coordinate with one another (3 humans all hide in different spots versus 1 CPU), then the odds of winning in each case are 1/2 (50%) and 3/5 (60%) instead.
And just to be complete, the odds of winning for the hiders with 2 humans who can coordinate, and 1 CPU that can’t are 4/9 (44.44%) and 5/9 (55.56%) for each strategy, respectively.
This is so nostalgic.
All RNG minigames are an automatic F-tier in my opinion. Words cannot describe how much they have pissed me off.
RNG (or RNG-heavy) minigames are still good to have in party games, as a catch up mechanism to lessen the impact of skill. This is especially nice for modes where the player in 4th place can choose the minigame, and they can pick one that leaves things up to chance instead of a battle of skill.
Jumbo Jump actually has an RNG element to the game, which makes players jump different distances even if they swing at the same time. This is to prevent ties from happening in the game itself, which is more elegant and diegetic than doing a tiebreaker roll afterwards.
Dicey Descent at least allows a little bit of player agency, namely in how you can pick if you’re on the same side as certain other players, which can be important in how it can guarantee wins for players in an advantage state.
Strategy Steps is a push-your-luck Prisoner’s Dilemma game, rather than a pure RNG game, especially if all players are human. Prisoner’s Dilemma, although still ultimately very random, is preferable to pure RNG.
Risky Railroad once again allows you to decide if you take the path as certain other players, which can once again be an important decision to make. It’s pure luck once it’s down to 2 players, though.
Lucky Launch is pure RNG.
Hide-and-Peek is pure luck, but most players don’t actually realize that the ideal strategy is to have one (human) player intentionally hide behind the horses, which leads to a higher chance of winning for the hiders, which is unintuitive to think about, seeing as the seeker can literally see you hiding there. This turns this minigame into a secret statistics test, which is, well, something, at least?
Meet and Greet also technically tests your button mashing skills (since the faster you can pick a door, the faster you’ll complete the minigame), as well as coordination between players to not pick duplicate doors once they’re each just 1 door away, but that’s a very small part of the minigame.
And then obviously RNG appears throughout tons of other minigames as well (order of obstacles in Flap Hurdles, puzzles in Puzzle Pick-Up, asteroids in Moon Landing, Mii behavior in Smile Snap, etc.), but that’s not the type of RNG you object to. Smile Snap is actually a good example of a partial RNG game, since in addition to being a push-your-luck game of deciding how many smiling Miis you want to photograph at once, it also tests your reaction speed to even act on the situation.
And as my final note, obviously, even amongst RNG minigames, there can still be ways to present them that make them more engaging. There’s a reason that across the Mario Party series, Bowser’s Big Blast is basically universally recognized as the best RNG minigame, and it purely comes down to presentation.
I cant believe you slandered hurdle hover for not working when it was just your dodgy controllers😔
You're so cute when you won the stop watch game lol.
im currently going through a wii party brainrot so i definitely needed this, but thag exceedingly low low pogo stick game rating was NOT what i needed lmao
jokes aside, youre actualy hilarious!! it makes me want to do one of these on my own too, except im nowhere near priveleged enough to get all of the stuff i need to record my insane chop chops gameplay.
Havent seen it yet, but i already know this is going to be sick
my friends and i have been doing something we call “wii party tournaments” where we play every 4 player mini game in a row and see who wins the most mini games. one of them that i’m really good at is quicker chipper, and yet, by best friend always manages to get 12 EVERY SINGLE TIME. i don’t know how she does it
also my favourite mini game is back attack by far
0:37 suprise pipe appearance
One of the players has a big chin, another a big forehead... it's like their faces swapped places. It's so jarring. I love it.
sorry i love this video but there's no way you didn't give back attack S tier
it is a good one tbf, in hindsight it’s very close to an S
oh god beanus was infected in zombie tag
This video is now integral to the beanus lore
Gg for the tier list. ^^
...But the wii u make a sequel
God, I remember when I was playing Rope Sling/Lofty Leap and accidentally got -181 yards.
181 is the farthest you can go in that game. I think.
Good times.
This video is S tier for sure! 👍
Would you ever consider doing some sort of video on the miitopia game? 😊
maybe yeh!! I’ve played through the game and loved it so
@BogBoy I think it could be really fun if it is something you could be interested in.
I really enjoyed the game as well, and I know of no one on UA-cam who makes better Mii content 😁
Keep up the good work, man 👍
The barrel game alongside tropical punch are my absolute favourite
While it might seem silly and possibly stupid that one of the hiding spots you can see the mii from the seeker screen, sacrificing a single player to force the seeker to "find" that player actually increases the team of 3's probability of winning.
I remember playing this game with my nephews, I always had a blast with it.
WAIT WHAT YOU DID THIS TOO?!
"ram jam" is called what its called because theyre not sheep theyre "ram"s which are male sheep [look at the horns] and its a jam cause of the music
26:48 its a rythim game.
Cool video it entertained me
not giving lofty leap S tier is insane
There's some 4-player mini-games I would have put higher, but "Ball Brawl" is in A-tier, so all is forgiven.
YEAHHH I really liked it !! So funny 😄😄😄
I don’t know who this guy is but I love him
8:31 french word ^^
YOU SHAKE THE REMOTE SIDE TO SIDE ON THE HURDLE JUMP ONE 😭😭
Excellent use of sound effects.
i played wii party last week and won globe trot
Many Congratulations!
