@1uzpete you blip the throttle In between the shifts, You have to time it right, When you go from third to second wait almost a full second then blip the throttle, Give it a lot of throttle on the blip, about 75% It'll probably buck a couple times when you first try it, but you'll be able to get the timing right Just gotta learn it. I looked at your channel and you have a ninety eight, so it'll work just like mine
@jaelonmendoza109 what year, It depends on the generation. The 98-2000 have the five speed, which is a much easier, The goal is to drop it into a gear. Wait about a second and then blip the throttle and then just work on your timing with that.Every car will be a little bit different, You have to wait until the transmission is in between shifts, so there is a delay with the automatic, so you have to try to hit that sweet spot right in between gears, the 95-97.You can do it too, but you have to be a lot more quick and a lot less throttle on your blips. With the newer gens, I usually just kick the Gas pedal to About 75% throttle on my downshifts, The timing in between shifts will be different for every gear. So you really have to learn it and practice it for a while. Once you got it, you shouldn't be able to feel the shifts at all. If you feel the car lurch forward, then you're doing it too late, if you still feel the transmission slow you down, then you're doing it too early
@@TsPovs i see yea i got a 98 and i sometimes do feel the the car launch a tiny bit when i try to downshift but i’ve done it a couple times with the right timing where it shifts smoothly like a standard drive. all about practice but thanks for your insight
@@jaelonmendoza109 Try just doing third to second and getting that one perfect and then work on the other gears, because once you get that perfect, the other ones will come naturally
@Rex-Tee23 yeah. There are extremely reliable and and fun to drive, they can pass as a old lady car to your parents and still do 150 down the freeway making glorious V8 noises. I would say it's the best first car
