I gained 50% to fps going from 7600x to 9800x3d (paired with an 4070 ti). Seems unrealistic, but this humongous cache really works wonders on WoW. I always knew this game was CPU bound, but this is incredible. But all x3d variants (5800x3d, 7800x3d and 9800x3d) are good for WoW. A friend of mine has the 5800x3d and that had a similar effect. So no need to shill out scalper money if you don't have it. And also really don't need to upgrade if you already have a prior x3d variant. But if money is not a problem, of course the 9800x3d is the best.

7800x3d is perfect for wow. I use it withe a 4080 super on max details and 4k. Have it undervolted as you should with this CPU so it never gets throtteled. Genereally have load between 15 and 40 whatever I do. around 100 fps ( ceiled at 120).

I’m using the Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 EVO (Dual Tower). Comparing to my old system with a Ryzen 5600x the difference is big in those intense raid fights. In the boss fight shown in the video when the adds spawn and everyone start to AoE, I was getting around 25 FPS for like 2-3 seconds and the rest of the fight between 50-90fps. With the new CPU everything is smooth in raiding, I don’t notice any fps drops.
I have 9800x3d , 4070s , 32gb 6000 cl30 . my non combat fps at ovinax 180~200 frame But when the battle begins fps gonna 60~80 and break an egg it gonna 20~30 I checked by turning off all my addons and weakauras one by one. @@realnzall No it doesn't. Even a non-tuned 14900K with a 5600mhz ram performs better in those scenarios. Not to mention tuned one with 8000+mhz ram speeds. I got a 13900KS x59 all core + 7800mhz ram, and it's far better than this showing here.
