Great shots! Sunset and sunrise time lapses are always tricky. I hope that you carry only necessary gear for a climb like that. I try to keep my pack as light as possible when climbing steep terrain.

Thank you! Yep I carried all 24lbs of it up that hill. We made the decision last minute and I had no time to lighten my bag. I sure wasn't leaving it in my car to get stolen.

It would be but they make you leave by 11pm since the park closes at that time. Its a bummer lol

Well those sunset shots were well worth the effort of the climb up . Seen your post in YouTogs :-)

I believe Little Mountain is the highest elevation in Lake County

Gildersleeve (1,163 feet above sea level) is the highest point in Lake County accessible to the public whereas Little Mountain (1,220 feet above sea level) is by guide only since Holden now owns most of the land. Little Mountain used to have hotels and resorts on it but those were torn down many years ago before Holden took it over.

Tammy Mellert correct. My friend works at Holden and we are going on a hike there sometime in March.

@@slandgsmith Excellent! I spend a lot of time at Lantern Court and Holden for my macro/nature work. It is a great place.

Great video, smaller pack or limit the gear, I know, the bit you leave behind is the one you will want....I'm the same lol. Great sunset images, shame about the time lapse.

It was such a last minute decision after being out on another hike that I didn't want to leave me extra's in the car. People have been broken into on occasions around here so I didn't want to take the chance. Yeah my first time lapse wasn't that great but I have a fix for that hopefully. Thanks.

Yu need to stop carrying bigger and bigger packs. This way your photography will be more enjoyable for youself.

LOL I was breathing like mad because the hill to get ot the top is really steep and we were in a big hurry before sunset. Usually it doesn't bother me. My bag weighs about 24lbs so not too bad really. I have been carrying a smaller pack recently with all this heat and humidity here.
