What if I put the reservoir more than 6 " above the soil? Say 12" or 18"? And what if on one side of the garden bed I have tomatoes that need a lot of water and on h other side I have herbs that don't use a lot? The way I see it, the system distributes the water evenly throughout the garden bed.
We've since discovered we can raise it up 28" - 56" above soil level and have that work very well. The amount pushed out by gravity will be constant, but the amount drawn by the soil and the plants varies depending on their needs.
Awesome design!
