It really sucks that that Saturday Morning Cartoons have been gone for two years now. They may not show on TV anymore, but at least we'll cherish them in our hearts.
Kids are gonna have a nice Saturday morning Bible study seminar and it's way better than Saturday morning educational programs and always will be. Let's praise God in Christ Jesus!
I don't see how kids of yesteryear had it better. Kids today get cartoons whenever want. They can watch cartoons before school, after school, before bed, or during the day if they don't have school. In the 80s, all you had was CBS, NBC, and ABC and maybe some syndicated weekday shows if you were lucky. And that's it. I'm sure cartoons were more special to 80s and 90s kids because of this, but if a 2010s kid went back in time and dealt with the same thing, he'd feel sorry for you.
E.S.T.1999 The blocks I got to see was Cookie Jar TV and Qubo that were no good and I missed the WB kids cause it ended when I was about 1 year old baby
In the 2010s, we Americans and Canadians lost NBC, CBS, CW, and ION kids programs in a blink of an eye, and the world is educated, next year there is no shortage of volunteers, no shortage of joy with happiness, I know you understand and that includes everyone
Saturday morning Fun will never be the same! I wuz one of d Kids who grew up enjoying these unforgettable Cartoons that shaped my outlook and perspective: Good vanquishing Evil, saving the Planet. 😬
NBC Kids was a part of my childhood i will never forget I remember watching shows like lazy town, poppy cat, noodle and doodle and several others ( basically just a bunch of gen z shows ) It literally died for no reason
I miss Saturday Morning Cartoons, I miss waking up every morning to watch my favorite animated shows. Cartoon Network did a good job with keeping SMCs alive by airing new episodes of different shows on Saturday mornings such as a few anime and action cartoons, and the ill-fated DC Nation block. Today, Saturday mornings on CN consist of a single Pokemon episode and non-stop Teen Titans Go reruns. It doesn't help that cable networks air animated shows whenever they want and will air new episodes of shows on any day of the week because their schedule is more flexible rather than being restricted to just one day of the week. Another big reason SMCs are dead is because of the internet and access to streaming services such as Netflix, in which animated programming can be streamed at any time, both old and new. Thing is, there's not much diversity in animation anymore, back when SMCs existed, you had them, but you also had Disney Channel, Toon Disney, Cartoon Network, and Nickelodeon among other networks that aired animated shows, and all had something to offer and there were tons of great shows to watch and talk about. Today, you only have three channels: Disney XD, Cartoon Network, and Nickelodeon, and there's only like 3-4 good animated shows now (Steven Universe, Star vs. the Forces of Evil, Star Wars Rebels, and The Loud House even though I haven't watched much of it) all while the rest are either mediocre at best (Clarence, Powerpuff Girls 2016), abysmal (Teen Titans Go), have now been cancelled (Gravity Falls, Wander Over Yonder, Regular Show, Gumball, Harvey Beaks) or for some reason are still running as you question why they haven't been cancelled yet (Spongebob, Fairly Odd Parents). Not much variety left in animation right now. I feel bad for today's kids, especially when there's not much animation for them to work with, at least not much good animation but a lot of mediocre shows. One Magnificent Morning is actually there to basically please the FCC's continuing demands for more "educational" content (which is done mostly to please soccer moms), so they decided to scrap all the animated programming for shows you could easily watch on the Discovery Channel and other channels with similar formats. I think kids deserve much better, they deserve what SMCs gave them back in the 80's to the early and mid 2000's, rather than the mixed bag of animation we have currently that has a very limited selection.
Well, some kids watch Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon and Disney XD on AT&T DirecTV Now for Apple TV and some kids watch Hillsong Channel for Saturday morning Bible study seminar instead of Saturday morning educational programs. That's why Saturday morning Bible study seminar is way better than Saturday morning educational programs and always will be.

After 2016, there have been some changes among the SatAM schedules. Firstly, in 2017 we saw the premiere of KidsClick (which aired on a few MyNetworkTV stations). Sadly, it only lasted for two years before ending in 2019 (I believe this was also around the same time Litton-operated Go Time started but correct me if I'm wrong). Fast forward two years in 2021, we did get Saturday morning cartoons back on MeTV, but Qubo ended, which was pretty much kids/teens without cable had for cartoons without resorting to streaming unless you count Smile (which not many people have and has a niche demographic) and PBS Kids. As of 2023, the only Saturday morning block (aside from the occasional PBS station) to air cartoons is Univision ever since the Nick on CBS rumors were false (but excluding Univision, Fox and ABC still air animated content on Sunday nights). EDIT: As of July 2024, Planeta U, Univision's Saturday morning cartoon block, airs now on Sunday mornings instead. So looks like PBS is the only one.

Wake up on Saturday and choose whatever cartoon shows we want to watch and walla! I think that idea will work. :)

I thought Vortexx had a lot of potential. In hindsight given Saban's control over the block and their partnership with Nickelodeon, I think it could've worked out as a programming block for the Nicktoons channel (ala Jetix on Toon Disney). Nevertheless I definitely missed coming home afternoon watching Fox Kids, KidsWB, and even the forgotten UPN Kids I'd watched sporadically.
I'm 15 and kids under 13 are missing out when I younger I use to watch abc family and toon Disney on Sat mornings and etc ... So yeah just wanted to say that

I don't care what anybody says, the internet, Cartoon Network, or anything like that was not what killed off Saturday Morning cartoons. They killed it off because they don't care about the kids anymore. That's the real reason. Educational shows? Not only do kids not want to watch that (especially in the place of Saturday Morning cartoons), they got school for that, five days a week. So I don't believe any of that crap at all. Saturday Morning cartoons could have been still going strong today if they actually cared about the kids.

It's a combination of multiple factors actually, the main ones being the fact that because of the idea of both parents working, they let tablets entertain their kids. The whole "Television is dead, streaming is the future" mentality is another huge factor, one that huge media corporations adore.
I still watch Saturday Morning cartoons, but only on DVD because there's nothing good on Saturday Mornings (I stopped watching Saturday Morning cartoons for good in 2009 due to lackluster programming they have), but it's sad to hear that TV networks stopped airing Saturday Morning programming. I miss Fox Kids (1990-2002) though. I also miss Weekday afternoon cartoons and Sunday morning cartoons though.

Doknot1999, Kids' WB! is still alive, at least in the country of Australia. In there, Kids' WB! airs Weekdays, Saturdays, and Sundays on cable channel 9Go!, owned by Nine Network Australia.
i agree but unfortunately saturday morning cartoons are dead well pretty much cartoons are dead with regular show and gumball getting cancelled and the fall of boomerang
In the 2010s, we Americans and Canadians lost NBC, CBS, CW, and ION kids programs in a blink of an eye, and the world is educated, next year there is no shortage of volunteers, no shortage of joy with happiness, I know you understand and that includes everyone
You know ABC could've temporarily aired reruns of Aladdin: The Animated Series, Buzz Lightyear of Star Command and Timon & Pumbaa on saturday mornings this year to promote Aladdin, Toy Story 4 and The Lion King. It is owned by Disney after all.
I'm crying that the network has ended my interest for future cartoons which means I'm gonna gonna have to look up all the past cartoons I watched and didn't watch with to see which are the best eventually I'll run out of Saturday morning cartoons some day
Agreed Doknot1999, I miss those days and everything but things change. Even I'll admit Saturday mornings nowadays suck and back then had it all. May the 80s, 90s, and early 00s R.I.P. I know there's some good cartoon in this generation I guess but not as much as it was back then. However, there's some cartoons I look at years later around those times and most of them are horrible. Most of them didn't make any sense to begin with. However, I do miss most of the old school video games. Especially the SNES, Sega Genesis, N64, Ps1, and almost a lot of old video games. I also like new school games so I guess it's a 50/50 with those. What Netflix needs to do is bring back most of the old school cartoons back then from those days. The shows I think need to comeback are Dbz or Dbz Kai Uncut, Batman the animated series, Tiny Toon Adventures, Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain, and quite other good shows back then. However, I also like some new school stuff to. Also, as much as I like those old stuff from the 90s. I also would rather live my whole life throughout the future. Life is very short and I want to enjoy every bit of it. It's another way of saying looking at the past is good and all once in a while but too much isn't good. There's some current stuff that are good but not as much as it was back then. Anyways Doknot1999, agreed for the most part but life goes on because life is very short that we have to enjoy every bit of it.
They don't have the kids wb website anymore! I am also disappointed that Saturday morning cartoons are now history due to the internet and streaming. I remember Kids Wb, Fox Kids/Fox Box, Disney's Saturday one block and nick on cbs. I was disappointed when the programs such as Fox Kids and Disney Saturday one block, nick on cbs, and kids wb ended. Oh well. Kids this generation are totally missing out.
Well, kids and preteens are gonna have a nice Saturday morning Bible study seminar instead of Saturday morning educational programs. Let's praise the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
I hate it so bad. I remember little bits and pieces of me watching Disney's One Saturday Morning but I remember watching ABC Kids. I remember video taping Hannah Montana while my family and I went to church
It really sucks that that Saturday Morning Cartoons have been gone for two years now. They may not show on TV anymore, but at least we'll cherish them in our hearts.
Agree with everything.
You can always study the Bible on Saturday mornings by watching Hillsong Channel. Go check it out and see for yourself.
And you always say that!
Kids are gonna have a nice Saturday morning Bible study seminar and it's way better than Saturday morning educational programs and always will be. Let's praise God in Christ Jesus!

I should've stopped cartoons after the 2000s ended but there was no warning that future programs would have maturity in them
Now I have to watch past cartoons for fun if there are surprises
It sucks that they don't have Saturday morning cartoons anymore. I especially miss Fox Kids and Jetix.
KidsClick is here.
And Kids WB
can somebody tell why Saturday morning cartoon no longer exist I mean kids today probably never heard of good classic shows
True.
i agree but unfortunately saturday morning cartoons are dead well pretty much cartoons are dead with regular show and gumball getting cancelled and the fall of boomerang
+Ryan8396 yea its very sad
Jetix actually aired 7 days a week, not just Saturday Mornings.
Rip cartoon on TV (Except PBS kids) (1960's-2021)
I want to go back in time
And uni kids but we don't care about them
What do you mean we have no more Saturday morning cartoons? I tune in every Saturday morning to watch the latest episode of MLP.
Besides that, I'm talking about the Saturday morning blocks tuning in to a big variety of cartoons to watch.
One magnificent morning on The CW, CBS dream team and The more you know on NBC is a load of garbage
In the 2010s, we Americans and Canadians lost NBC, CBS, CW, and ION kids programs in a blink of an eye, and the world is educated, next year there is no shortage of volunteers, no shortage of joy with happiness, I know you understand and that includes everyone
I was born in 2004 and I watch some Saturday morning cartoon shows
#LittonSucks
Me Too Litton is Still Sucks.
Yeah let’s destroy Litton Entertainment
But how many would watch it?
Saturday Morning Cartoons you will be missed!!!!!
They sure will.
You can always study the Bible by watching Hillsong Channel. Go check it out!
And not to mention EWTN.
There's almost nothing good on TV nowadays. This is kind of sad how good things from the past especially TV won't stay good for so long.
So sad.
Why don't you watch Hillsong Channel for study the Bible on Saturday mornings.
You always say that!
That's why Saturday morning Bible study seminar is way better than Saturday morning educational programs and always will be.
100% agree!
You know ABC could've temporarily aired reruns of Aladdin: The Animated Series, Buzz Lightyear of Star Command and Timon & Pumbaa on saturday mornings this year to promote Aladdin, Toy Story 4 and The Lion King. It is owned by Disney after all.
I use to love cartoons for fun that I didn't want to ignore it
MeTV is bringing back Saturday Morning Cartoons next year!
3 hours of classics like Popeye, Tom & Jerry, and Looney Tunes!
I remember when vortex
Lol that wasn't even that long ago
I used to watched. Vortexx on The CW
Yeah I used to watch the Vortexx CW too
I'm crying that the network has ended my interest for future cartoons which means I'm gonna gonna have to look up all the past cartoons I watched and didn't watch with to see which are the best eventually I'll run out of Saturday morning cartoons some day
Something must be done about this!!!! This isn't right nor fair
I shouldn't have trusted going overboard!!!!!!
3:31 If Hub Network Can't Come Back Then. How About A 24 7 Hub Network Called Hub Someity Network Show All anime Cartoons And Game Shows 24 7
i miss abc kids!
I plan to continue to watch Liberty's Kids, iCarly, and Wizards of Waverly Place episodes all fall long. What is your plan?
Watch Teen Titans Go! on Cartoon Network.
Oh yeah, im 12 but i remember that well...... Ah the memories
I still have My Little Pony at 8:30 every Saturday morning. Sadly though, that's about it.
✋😔 Who else is mourning over the greatest days of TV in 2019?
Well, kids are gonna have a nice Saturday morning Bible study seminar by watching Hillsong Channel for listen to the sermon.
That's the Year that Friendship is Magic has ended.
😠🤨
I have good news:i have 1 channel that's called light TV
which you watch Saturday's and also watch movies
They don't have the kids wb website anymore! I am also disappointed that Saturday morning cartoons are now history due to the internet and streaming. I remember Kids Wb, Fox Kids/Fox Box, Disney's Saturday one block and nick on cbs. I was disappointed when the programs such as Fox Kids and Disney Saturday one block, nick on cbs, and kids wb ended. Oh well. Kids this generation are totally missing out.
IKR? Saturday morning cartoons should continue to thrive for decades! Nostalgia should definitely be a virtue instead of just being treated like one!
I can't go through life watching adult animation
Why did They have to give retirement To the Anime Shows? I miss watching Saturday shows.
What do I watch for fun if things don't go the way I want?
But I'm not a bit surprised that NBC Kids is being dissolved. I hope something good might be shown as a new block on NBC.
You have a good Bible study seminar on Saturday mornings.
Entertainment can not be hazardous, cruel, death for laughs!!!!!!!!
Why can't you ever know what's gonna happen for real for real without even going overboard!?
If something revive the past I have no choice but to quit
I miss Kids WB
Screw Litton Entertainment!
Bring Back Saturday Morning!
I wanted all programs that were endless to be cancelled it didn't go right leading me to suffer
What started as friendship as grown literally downhill I only I had the strength to ignore it
