Adele on an interview w vogue said that the conversations w her son in "my little love" were ones her therapist recommended her to record as one of her "exercises". she eventually decided to add them on the album :)
I think we’ve been lucky to be able to connect with so much of Adele’s music over the years, but something I’ve learned about her is she doesn’t write (and has never wrote) music for the fans. This is music for herself and it’s sort of a personal diary that she feels empowered enough to share with the world. So I take in everything she writes as a “fly on the wall” so to speak and I love and appreciate her for it, and I think that’s what makes her one of the most brilliant artists of all time.
Adele is an essential artist for this time period. She brings the essence of Dusty Springfield, Duffy and Amy Winehouse. She’s keeping Blue Eyed Soul alive.
I always think about how funny or tragic it is that at that time Adele was the underdog of the scene, while Duffy and Amy were the "promising geniuses". But now unfortunately we don't have Amy with us anymore, and Duffy aparently has quit. Adele is indeed carrying that legacy.
Hey AJayll, kindly to me seem "Oh my God" is one of the best produced songs on the album, the production starts following a very beautiful beat, and goes in a game of very delicious ascending harmonies that explode in a very soul choir. I think if it doesn't catch you like me or other people, it's understandable we all experience and feel music differently. But personally I consider this one of the best on the album.
this is one of the most raw, relatable, and honest albums I have ever heard. The vocals, the lyrics, the instrumentals, everything was top notch. 10/10 album.
I wish she kept to her old style. How sad 30 has not one song as strong and epic as Set Fire to the Rain! Except Easy on Me and I Drink Wine, i didn't find much to like about 30. Maybe it's a grower... I'll be giving it many many tries cuz it's Adele.
Having heard 19, and other British artists (Amy Winehouse and Lily Allen for example), some of these songs do not come as a surprise. They sound SO British! And I LOVE IT! Cry Your Heart Out and All Night sound like deluxe songs on Amy’s Frank record! I guess one could argue Adele is being more experimental if we compare 30 to her two previous works. But I feel like this “new” sound is just Adele not being pressured to release a piano ballad that resembles SLY or Hello. This is just her having fun, being MORE personal and vulnerable, going back to her roots. I love this album!
Adele never fails us music listeners with her impactful vocals and tender lyricism. It almost feels like most of her songs to date are adult lullabys for the lost, brokenhearted, and just trying to heal moving forward...while also pondering what it truly means to just live to the absolute fullest.
I am literally listening the entire album everyday, and I realized that every new time you listen to, you fell in love with a different song, a lyrics turn into more meaningful, more deep. At the first time, I enjoyed "To be loved" a lot, and right now I feel that "I drink wine" is my jam, and so it goes.
I personally think Ajay was not ready - nor in the 'exact' mood to listen to 30. Anybody - everybody could have his/her opinion, but this album is a conceptual album, telling stories throughout the songs, and myself and most will agree that this album has the most honest, beautiful, raw, and brutal lyrics Adele has ever produced. Not only lyric-wise, but the sound, the tone, the melody, the stories are so fresh and different, but they scream Adele. I don't think this 'initial' reaction did justice to the album. As for my own opinion, I may have least favorite tracks on '21' or '25', but good god every single song on '30' is a favorite; it brings out joy, sadness, loneliness, and aches out of myself - and i am happy to have those emotions wrecking my entire existence.
If you are saying that anybody could have their own opinions about Adele’s recent album, then why did you say at the end of your statement that this so-called “initial reaction” did not do justice? Wasn’t that contradictive of what you’ve stated at first, though?
for all the songs you said you need to hear again: do it. My first listen to the album did not give me a good impression because the sonorities are very different to what we're used to listen to nowadays. But my second and third listens were amazing. The album definitely grew on me. edit: SHE DID IT!!!!
Watched the whole video. Ajayll seemed to not even like the rest of the album past the second song. Pretty sad she didn’t care for most of the album because it’s fantastic.
I really love the fact that you create such a safe place listening to Adele's album. Your atmosphere is so calm. Also it's so good that you're feeling and living her music rather than just "listening" to it ! Keep doing what you're doing, it's so great 🥰
22:33 I miss seeing this Ajay, like in the entirety of the reaction video. I can't blame her for how she's acting lately, Little Monsters did her terribly wrong. I'm a LM too but Chromatica was really not it. You can't force someone to like a music that isn't their taste and act like shocked Pikachu if they didn't. Love you, Ajay beech. Stay strong ❤️
Chromatica was the first time Ive seen her have to reserve her opinion out of fear. Like literally Chromatica was not it- not all of us were feeling the house music. Something definitely changed after that
chromatica is just a generic gay club album, a parody of what her music used to be. people should've not been harsh on her let away to defend an album like that
I understand Ajay, 30 has some not-so-Adele elements in it. However, from my personal view, if you follow Adele from the VERY beginning, let’s say 2008 and earlier, you will be in love with 30. Adele’s hometown is also mine, smh Adele is like my proud cousin:) 30 to me is like you fall in love with a stranger for years; you often see this person around your area but barely know this person, didn’t have the chance to talk to this person, but finally, you have the opportunity and know what this person been through, the story of this person. He/she/they are no longer a mirage but a familiar. You feel the sparks are ultimately sinking in, the fulfilment. And you have to wait for another unforeseen hang out, the uncertainty.
I felt Ajay's breakdown wayy too deep. It's pretty obvious that she was definitely struggling with things these past couple months and Easy On Me probably helped her let it all out. Hope she feels better and revisits the album again.
To Be Loved is the best song on the album. 21 is still my favorite Adele album but clearly this is her best album to date, it's cohesive, emotion over chart capable hooks.

I think it’s funny how people go saying that Adele “always makes the same album”, but when she goes on and creates something different for herself, like oh my god and can I get it, people look at it sideways.

easy on me is the best song on the album, for sure ajay's gonna cry to it, then comes to be loved, its kinda good as well. The rest of the songs are just okay-ish. Her vocals tho, her vocals are carrying the whole album, the jazzy melody didnt do it for me.
I felt amy winehouse's vibes on this album I love the fact that she is trying new music genres like jazz. I hope she can drop a full jazz album it would be just amazing!

I’ve been fallowing Ajay for a couple of years now, and watching her breakdown like that on the second song was completely heartbreaking to watch after all the good times she has given us. Stay strong Queen, you got this!
I feel like a lot of people knew Adele from 21, and that's the sound they're used to. But being an Adele fan from 19, I felt like this jazzier, funky, experimental Adele, was very much why I fell in love with her in the first place.
agreed! it took me awhile to be acquainted with her music since her debut and been with her since hometown glory was out. this album reminds me a lot of 19.
I Drink Wine was originally a 15 minute song but her label said to cut it because radios can't play 15 minute songs. Now, we need I Drink Wine (15 Minute Version) (From The Vault) or whatever Adele likes to call it.
she said this album is mainly for her child. an example “easy on me” adele and her partner split so she’s asking forgiveness from her child and to go “easy on” her :)
This album really got me. Adele was so truthful with those lyrics; She literally exposed her soul and sang us about her pain after divorce, how she was dealing with moving on, being a single mom, emotional issues n she turned it all into this great album. Such a queen. 🪐

I'll openly admit that this is the first Adele album I have ever listened to. I knew the singles playing on the radio, but never any albums. Something told me to listen to 30....and after listening to 30, last night I listened to 19, 21, and 25. Now I have to reflect on why I missed out on 13 years of Adeleness 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️❤❤❤
I’m a fan of her since her worldwide hit Rolling in the deep but I also didn’t have a chance to listen 21 because I’m still so young probably 11 that time and didn’t have my own smart phone yet, till 2016 when she released 25 i start to listen all of her albums.
The fact that you didn’t connect with “To Be Loved” surprised me so much… to me I think that is one of the most emotionally driven songs on there. She’s literally wailing her heart out in that one.. I’m SURE it will grow to be in your top 3
The entire album is inspired from the sound of 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. Strangers by nature was inspired by her listening to judy Garland songs. She is providing musical, soul, R&B, blues, jazz, Country, gospel, and her signature Adele style.
I did love the variety! All blended with Adele's very unique sound. I feel like there's at least one song on here for everyone, but I personally enjoyed most of this album ✨
@@tramainet5504 Why is it an honor for a white person to use our music from our culture? Lmaoo just because she's adele and white don't mean shit, see thats the problem we have now.
You definitely need to listen to it again, multiple times. Something new will catch your ears each time. You can hear that she really put her entire heart into this album and I'm so grateful that she trusted us putting that into the world. To Be Loved was my favorite on the initial. SO powerful. Since listening to it, Oh My God, I Drink Wine, and All Night Parking really grew on me. I love the whole album!!
this album, in Adele’s words, is hers. it doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy it, but i do feel that there is a very tall wall surrounding each one. it takes time to get through that wall, but you’ll eventually burrow your way through the more you listen.
It feels like this is an album only for divorced people or something. I mean, I’m not that younger than Adele, but I haven’t experienced what she’s experienced, so really I can’t understand this album. And from just a listener’s perspective, this is not her best album. Aside from a single, I can’t remember a single song and I can’t bring myself to listen to it often, cause I get bored like almost instantly.
@@gellynova i’m not so sure. while it’s completely understandable if it’s not for you, not everything is for everybody, i don’t think it’s just for divorced people. above all, the album has an overarching theme of maturity. many of the songs offer a lot of hope and offer a chance to take accountability for mistakes we’ve made in the past. it’s actually a very complex album - again back to the point of it being ‘a grower’.
@@gellynova but the themes of her album are loss and learning from it. While not everyone may experience divorce, we still have felt that devastating loss in our lives.
@@quillber I think* that they mean that the layers of not only musical awareness, but skill in executing something that touches several sounds from different time periods but still is genuine and contemporary is something that people who are deeply in-tune (pun intended) with music history and music composition can appreciate on a different level than people who are not as aware of those elements. This isn't to say that it can't be greatly enjoyed by people who aren't as connected to that side of music but there're musical easter eggs everywhere in this album that increase its appeal.
AJay darling, are you okay? Are you going through a lot right now? I'm worried about the fact you cried like that the moment she sang the chorus, it felt so personal. :( I hope you're doing well, we love you.

i really HATE adele's label (columbia records) for making her cut down i drink wine from 15 to 5 minutes, i also hate them for mentioning tik tok. they're so delusional and out of touch. adele is a solidified artist with a huge fanbase, her preorder sales are insane. she doesn't NEED a tik tok track or short songs for radio play. it makes me sad we'll never get the full versions of i drink wine or all night parking
Adele has never seemed to me as an artist who will need tiktok. Sure, she's mainstream and all the mainstream people are doing it, but Adele has always been good with her sales. it's like trying to fix something which isn't broken at all
The one thing I love about Adele is that she's writing music for herself. I definitely felt that this album was a huge emotional release for her, and I love that for her. We may not understand what she's singing about but we can sure as hell still enjoy the performance.
“woman like me” is giving alllllll the amy winehouse vibes - i know adele has said amy is a major inspiration for her and in that song it especially comes through
This is a very personal album for Adele and I guess all tracks wont be relatable, unless you’ve been “there”. It’s deep and sometimes confronting. Not always easy listening. A bit like life
Exactly! Even though I'm a big Adele fan, unfortunately I'm having a hard time connecting with this album, maybe because I've never been thought such deep emotions (children, divorce, aging).
The thing for me is, I’ve seen enough in my life through other people that I feel like I’m looking at certain situations through another perspective. But “My Little Love” made me feel like I went through it myself and that makes me love it so much more.

All Night Parking legit gives me R&B x Amy Winehouse. One of my faves from the album
I agree.
Ok, bye
10000000% agree
If you are saying that anybody could have their own opinions about Adele’s recent album, then why did you say at the end of your statement that this so-called “initial reaction” did not do justice? Wasn’t that contradictive of what you’ve stated at first, though?
literally shut up
for all the songs you said you need to hear again: do it. My first listen to the album did not give me a good impression because the sonorities are very different to what we're used to listen to nowadays. But my second and third listens were amazing. The album definitely grew on me.

I listened to it once yesterday and was a little disappointed, but I will give it another try, I hope I like it more

@@JackieAyyy I know I was so let down. But I guess now the comment makes sense int he opposite way 💀
well you could say that in a way… lmfao
I really love the fact that you create such a safe place listening to Adele's album. Your atmosphere is so calm. Also it's so good that you're feeling and living her music rather than just "listening" to it ! Keep doing what you're doing, it's so great 🥰
Adele: EAASSSSY ON..
AJayll: 😢😭🥲😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
to me there’s not a single skip on this. the middle of the album has such a unique almost vintage sound and it’s so addicting
19 is probably my most played Adele album. Love love love everything about it. 30 sucks though.
This album reminds me of her 19 era while she was on tour covering Mumford and Sons and other bands!
This album is so deep that you really can't grasp it in one listen. The entire needs a goddamn mark!!!
So true
You are missed beautiful Lady. Hope whatever you’re going thru brings you back. Wishing you health and many blessings.
This is Adele’s best record and the most realized álbum she has made. PERIOD.

I feel like almost all of the time Ajayll represents exactly what I thought when I listened to the album by myself, I come to the video already anticipating the parts of the reaction that are going to be funny or emotional, but this time was completely different!
30 was a roller coaster and To Be Loved destroyed me, I really loved the entire album basically, so I’m happy to finally realize that I have my own opinion cuz I was starting to think that I just used ajayll’s opinion as my own ever since the melodrama reaction lol
The fucking My Little Love outro made me cry so much that I wasnt even aware I was crying.
I think it’s funny how people go saying that Adele “always makes the same album”, but when she goes on and creates something different for herself, like oh my god and can I get it, people look at it sideways.

Me too. I mean I love 21 and 25, but a 19 needs to happen once a while

this album, in Adele’s words, is hers. it doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy it, but i do feel that there is a very tall wall surrounding each one. it takes time to get through that wall, but you’ll eventually burrow your way through the more you listen.
