That song was released in 7-15-89, and became #1 in October of 89. This is how country should sound. Simple two steppin' country music. I always sing this song when I practice my singing. Clint Black, and other artists like Alan Jackson, and Garth Brooks, and Travis Tritt were the country class of '89. That's what I like about the 80's and 90's neotraditional country era

Because country music personifies basic American values and the Leftist slime in Hollywood and New York took control of the country music industry to get us as far from God, country, church and family values as they can.
Country music ain't even country anymore! You got artists like Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Sam Hunt, mixin hiphop beats to there songs, rappin and mentionin rappers names in their songs! Its disgraceful to country music and it's culture as a whole, and a disgrace to the legends who have made country what it is, and those who have fought to keep the traditional sound goin. They're tryin to change country. We are in a culture war between country, and the city music. Country ain't just a music style, it's a way of life. It's a culture, it's tradition, it's heritage. It ain't just boots, and cowboy hats, and horses. Or lifted trucks, bonfires, camouflage clothing, guns, huntin, and fishin, and all that stuff....it's about family, it's about true love and devotion to one man and one woman, it's about love and faith in God and livin by his word, and strivin to be the most respectable, honorable man you can be. It's about heritage, and the traditions passed down. When you got these new artists bringin in this hiphop influence into COUNTRY, now look what you got....FILTH AND TRASH! George Strait, Alan Jackson, Randy Travis, etc, REAL COUNTRY, never sang and influenced people to get drunk, go clubbin, makin out with half drunk girls on tailgates at bonfires....you got girls everywhere in boots and daisy dukes twerkin and grindin to rap music and this new pop/hiphop country. Here in a few years country will have lyrics like most rap music have today. Content that promotes, idolizes, and influences the disrespecting and degradation of women, calling all women "bitches and Hoes", using women as sex objects and throwin them out on the curb for the next "hoe". Promotes, idolizes, and influences partyin, clubbin, lust, cheatin, and the betrayal of the heart. REAL COUNTRY women respect themselves, their bodies, don't dress indecently, and certainly don't support the rap/hiphop culture and what it promotes. And real country men don't encourage women to live that way and support those things, and uphold their women to the highest value, while maintaining their role as a respectable, honorable, gentleman. Morals, values, dignity, and self respect are traits fadin away in our society, and now country music as been sucked into that filthiness. And artists like Sam Hunt, Florida Georgia Line, Luke Bryan are starting the beginning stages of bringin that influences into country music! Just wait, there won't be boots, wranglers, cowboy hats in a decade from now! That fashion is already fadin away! Now it's bedazzled skinny jeans, flat brim hats turned sideways, and holdin your crotch and dancin as if you're a stripper while you perform. (FGL, LB) And country will be far from thumpy bass, acoustic/steel guitars, and fiddles! It'll be mostly electronic rap beats with bass like some of it is now! JUST WAIT!

Got to see him at a county fair in my town and just saying me and my son were stuck on stupid on how talented he is, not just singing or playing the guitar but the man kicks ass on the drums and im pretty sure he played the harmonica too, one of the best days we had
