I listen to this whole set at work everyday. Recently started listening to glassjaw, a friend told me about them. Wish I could've been under that stage.

They were pretty big in their time touring with deftones and Daryl going onto form Head Automatica that were like one of the pioneers for early 2000s indie rock pop.
Thing that always gets me is that here we are, 20 years later, and Daryl hasn't lost a single tone in his voice. He's just flawless live. Bring on the anniversary shows in May
I disagree. He was not reliable 20 years ago. Always a talent dont get me wrong. Now he is the real deal and you can see some vocal training. Years ago he would hardly sing 1third of a set.

They are one of the tightest live bands I've ever seen, if you ever get the chance to see them don't pass it up!
That moment in a show you think the singer is singing directly to you? At 20:50 it's me Daryl is pointing at while I'm singing along with Mu Empire. I know for sure, since there was nobody else around. This is on of the most memorable shows I ever attended. :)
Honestly would think its the same song its so fucking clean. Grew up listening to Glassjaw and just found this live concert and holy SHIT its mint. Listened to it probably 5xs through.
Third time I look into this concert, great performance, best audio, they sound solid, Daryl's killing it, Beck's a machine, Dan Ellis's a bass god and fucken Chad Hasty super tight... And still can't stand WHY THE FUCK is there so few people watching it. Shame on Pukkelpop for putting such a legend of a band so DAMN early!

Ahhh Glassjaw, the band that all the scene kids back in the day used to say they loved and yet, minimal record sales. Glassjaw are criminally underrated and underappreciated.
What I would have given to see this show live. Impressed to see Daryl still got it and even sounds better here in my opinion live. My favorite band is Deftones and unfortunately Chino's voice is not the same anymore due to all that straining however here we have Daryl aging like fine wine with those vocal chords🙌
The bassist here is named Dan Ellis, and he is the single best rock artist I know of. Listen to Kidnapkin, listen to Modern Animal, listen to everything he's ever made. He's brilliant.
Just found this band from that Mac dude who does covers.. I will say this band deserved to blow up just as big as Deftones. And their performance in this with such a small crowd is insane. I thought this was a huge festival until I saw the camera view. Respect to these guys. True passion
Beck has such a unique guitar playing style. One of the bands that really took advantage when they had two guitar players. They remind me of Circa Survive (or the other way around) on how both guitar players are playing some really cool parts but almost seam completely separate from one another and yet it works perfectly. Even though Beck is alone on guitars now he fills the sound out nicely.
@@genefrankle1 more than likely his guitar tech is turning on and off effects. This is normal for bigger bands, especially when they’re bouncing around between effects.

Very true - Beck plays interesting chord and I love his leads. I do miss Todd in the band though, for the reasons you mentioned. Some songs really benefit from the two guitars; Ape Dos Mil and Gillette Cavalcade come to mind.

Sadly, this performance only had like 20-25 people in the crowd. Watch when they show a shot from behind the band the field is empty. From what I read they were playing 2 shows that day, one here and the other at arctangent festival.
i come back to this about 10-15 times a year and my favourite part of it is how Chad is absolutely puttin it dowwwn back there. truly one of my favourite live performances of any band to watch on here.
Man I've been such a huge (yet quiet) fan of Glassjaw since I was just 13 (36 now) and like so many other people I really feel this band deserves so much more recognition than they did.. However, they will always be a daily favourite of mine and I hugely appreciate the hard times they have got me through! Thanks GJ x

Saw them play a small show in LA in, like 2013, and Justin,Darryl and the bass player at the time all played facing the drummer, in a tight circle, backs to the the crowd, and for some reason it was the most intense show I’ve ever seen. It was more like watching band practice. No talking to the crowd, just melting faces.
Dude, this happened here in Mexico City too, we were the opening band to the only time Gj has come to Mexico, one of my greatest memories. And then, when they started to play, it was Beck, Daryl, Durijah and Manuel Carrero facing each other for like 5 songs, then Daryl started to interact a little bit more, shit got cray cray, the place was crowded af. Glassjaw is a Top 5 Band across all genres ever to me, and Daryl Palumbo is easily one of most talented vocalists to touch the Earth. Such a huge inspiration.

Only just got into Glassjaw properly this year, god this set is excellent. Sounds brilliant, credit to the guys for nailing this set to about 40 people, true pros! Fingers crossed for a Manchester UK date at some point
You've got such a journey to go on - they are just such an incredible band - but nowadays when they come to the UK you only really get London - so get on the 20th anniversary shows asap!
The sickest live band of all time. Outdoing even fuckin' Deftones. Does everyone wanna know WHY our dudes aren't Platinum selling? *Slipknot and Nickelback.* Glassjaw were signed to roadrunner at the same time as both of those bands before getting picked up by WB Records, and were dropped in favor of the other two. Warner didn't push Worship & Tribute worth a shit either, so they were left to obscurity.
If it weren't because their sound became impactful to the scene, these guys wouldn't have re-united at all. Let alone continue releasing materials. Yes, it's sad that they didn't become the arena band that we all expected, but they became a cult classic. A mark that will never be erased.

Palumbo has the best voice in the scene, hands down. Stop playing with yourself, you know it’s true. Truly underrated, got out shadowed by commercial shit in the scene, but one of the best to do it. Only just got into Glassjaw properly this year, god this set is excellent. Sounds brilliant, credit to the guys for nailing this set to about 40 people, true pros! Fingers crossed for a Manchester UK date at some point

Does everyone wanna know WHY our dudes aren't Platinum selling? *Slipknot and Nickelback.* Glassjaw were signed to roadrunner at the same time as both of those bands before getting picked up by WB Records, and were dropped in favor of the other two. Warner didn't push Worship & Tribute worth a shit either, so they were left to obscurity.
If it weren't because their sound became impactful to the scene, these guys wouldn't have re-united at all. Let alone continue releasing materials. Yes, it's sad that they didn't become the arena band that we all expected, but they became a cult classic. A mark that will never be erased.
The chaos is insane. It's almost like they improvise all the songs. I love it.

Palumbo has the best voice in the scene, hands down. Stop playing with yourself, you know it’s true. Truly underrated, got out shadowed by commercial shit in the scene, but one of the best to do it.
