Thanks for sharing this info. Would you now zoom into the actual painting process? For example, I start with the basic compositional lines from the vanishing point and work forward and outwards. Next, mass in tonal values etc.
Thanks for the info. I do most of that but I use acrylics and don’t have to wait long periods,but at home a just do an hour at a time ,it keeps me observing quite a lot but I enjoy it like that. I am 79 now so there is no rush.
Are you completely gesso’ing the mdf before soaking it in water? I’d have thought 24hrs in water would deform and ruin the panel but you say it returns to original form. What quality & size panels do you use?
