I follow a number os sailing channels, I find yours to be the most fulfilling. I like Ben’s narration and calm approach. I also like that you aren’t pushing sex appeal as a foundational element of your channel.
Agreed!
yep it is the best one out there
Agreed. I’ve stopped following some of the other channels. They’ve run out of ideas and so half naked females as a lure is all they can offer.
No one does it better when it comes to sailing with a very young family - no crew - taking on tough challenges. Ben and Ashley have so much fun with their children. This channel feels authentic, the real deal. Viewers love Willa and Bodhi too. 💫💫
Totally agree. Ben doesn't pimp his wife for likes.
Ben’s voice & narration makes this the BEST sailing channel on YT‼️Ashly & the ADORABLE kiddo’s of course are also part of the Nahoa MASTERPIECE ‼️😉
Ben could read the phonebook and I would listen to it. He should get a part time job making audiobooks while on passage
I don’t know why but I still, to this day, love the Nahoa intro. It just feels so satisfying to hear Ashley say “Civilization, see you later!” Thanks for another brilliant week of sailing adventures and bird distractions👏
Love Ben's narration. Beautiful family. Huge smile on my face when you were crossing the equator. Look forward to the next video. Willa and Bodhi are lucky to have you as parents. Thanks for sharing your adventures.
A sunset off the stern as the moon rises over the bow... Kids sleeping soundly, totally fine with what will be known as an 'unbelievable childhood' days from land and still - able to upload a video!! You guys, my Favourite Canadian Ambassadors - really are, livin' the dream! God Bless you and yours. Fair winds and following seas.
And - what about a tiny pressure washer for deck cleaning - you've got the water now... Love from BC.
Those two of yours are real characters full of the joys of life.
Ben, Ashley and Munchkins hi from Calgary. Congrats on another successful equator crossing and having King Neptune on board to gently haze and anoint those two cute new Shellbacks. Great parents you are. From that day forward in their lives whenever wherever they cross the equator as adults they will think of Mom and Dad and that special day. Parenting 101 at its finest you should be proud of yourselves. Hey I want to try that climbing net too much fun. The birds and their shit, I'm an Environmental Project Mgr. One of the most challenging issues to deal with humanly. However your doing all you can their crap rates up there with Roaches.
Safe sailing see you next week, thanks.
Hahaha!
I literally check every Sunday (uk) for Sailing Nohoa videos. So glad to see you are all doing well! My favourite channel!
Those 2 will grow to be so close. Love to see the joy of life in them. ❤🙏🏻🙌🏼
one thing for certain..there's no distraction from the thing that really matter.." loving family just living life to the fullest "
You are both amazing parents and have such a amazing bond with your children. Lucky kids. God Bless your family.
Be confident in your content. It's gotten you thiis far. I love your relationship with each other and watching the kids learn and grow.
Ben's dulcet baritone is one of the best voices out there, and he does it with a passion for making it great. Keep up the great work. ♥
The children should have certificates showing progression from Pollywog to Shellback. Such a wonderful thing to share with the kids.
What a beautiful family...well done mum and dad.
Wow your channel is better than a travel Channel with 50 employees, great job so proud of my fellow Canadians.
Your children are so lucky. Playing with parents is so good for them. ❤
Wow, Humboldt Current, I lived in Humboldt County California for most of my life ! Mr Alexander Von Humboldt must have spent some time in my bay ? Awesome, you've made it, my favorite place to watch sailors, the south pacific. I read James Mecheners book Hawaii in High School, and at 73, still enthralled with the romance of the Southern Pacific !
You do us Canadians proud. Thank you!
Most birds do not like blinking objects, if you have a few old cd/dvd's you can make some lines with these cd's hanging in them and the birds will stay away. Love your videos.
One of your best videos in a while. Love that you brought the intro music back as well. Reminds me of your early days! Safe sailing!!
"Fair Seas & Following Winds" May the Good LORD Bless you and your "BOUNTY" be Plentiful❗
MUCH LOVE FROM GUAM !!!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Oh I love your little shellbacks, they were good pollywogs but now turned... they're sailors for life😊❤ Welcome to the south Pacific.
I have been watching your videos for yrs from the beginning . See, now everyone has been trying to copy your ways, and I still can't wait for your new videos to come out. To see the kids and how big they are getting. Wow, next, there going to be the next Jaco Costello. Sorry, I don't know how to spell it . And you will be on there
Boat sailing ⛵️ around the world 🌎.
God be with them 🙏🏻.
What I love about you guys is you have the whole romance of the sea down. Especially you Ben… not sure if it’s the German side but other channels never get me as emotional.
I so want to be sailing but I can’t yet. And my relief is You Tube channels.
Yours is special.
Thank you
I absolutely love your channel. I give you a lot of praise for raising two young children on a boat. Seems like you have a down pat You should write a book on how to raise children at sea. Do the kids ever get seasick or do the adults ever get sea sick either? As always stay safe out there and God bless
Such a special episode. The kids (as well as the two of you) are having a great life. No doubt about it.
Your kids will never forget this journey ❤️
I watched so many videos about sailing because I would like to buy a catamaran one day 🙂…and I love to watch your videos as well….but I must point it out that this is the first video about the “birds prblem” 😀….I did not realise that it could even happen 😀…thank you for it…you put it as really funny thing, but it must be really pain in the ass 😀…greetings from Czech Republic 🇨🇿
What a beautiful playground classroom for your two gorgeous kids
I love you guys! Thanks for sharing your adventures with us. It's a joy watching your children grow! And Ashley, I so enjoyed your high spirits & animation during this episode. Safe travels, Dar (VA, USA). ❤
Thank you for sharing this amazing adventure with us. I am sorry you couldn't stop at the islands today. I wouldn't have either because of all the expenses and red tape. That's CRAZY! Anyway, I am glad you did the first time to experience it but I have a feeling you may stop there again at some point in your future sailing adventures. You both are such great parents to Willa and Bodie. I remember watching your videos when you were on your way to Canada to have Willa and Ben you were acting a bit strange. I mean that in a fun way, I believe Ashley was ready to have a baby, it was an easier adjustment for her than for you. However, watching today's video, I said out loud, Ben you have become such a GREAT dad! You are made for that role. You have all adjusted to sailing as a family SO well and the kids seem to love it. They have a lot of fun on the boat and meeting people from every country so easily at such a young age. Great job in every way to both of you. Give the kids a hug from this grandma in West Michigan on Lake Michigan.
I'm a shell back when I sailed across the equator twice crossing the Atlantic Ocean aboard TeVega that is now called DEVA. It's a 165 ft. long, 164 ft. tall and about 27 ft. wide two masted gaff rigged schooner. The draft is 17 ft.
Amazing the agility Bodi has running around on deck , especially at his age. 😊
I would go bonkers at the thought of sharing my boat with a giant roach. Hope you have the stuff to get rid of those!
Great narration Ben, was wonderful going thru the “everyday” with your family. Your children are happy little people, what amazing lives they’re living. Hi from Sydney 🦘
I admire your ability to put up with a long passage. Safe and smooth sailing to you all!
The 4 of you are simply amazing! I really hope the kids remember enough of this journey to realize how beautiful this world is.❤ All the best!
Spending 26 days off-grid at sea is an incredible feat that showcases your adventurous spirit and commitment to embracing the raw, unfiltered elements of nature. Your ability to live independently and thrive in such a challenging environment reflects not only your resilience but also your deep connection to the natural world. Sharing this experience highlights your dedication to exploring new frontiers and inspires others to seek out their own extraordinary journeys. And I am Floating Village Life.
what a great video!! filled with joy and adventure. u guys are so suited for great sailing and world adventure. imagine, u chose sailing but your kids were born rt into it. that is so special. Blessings!!
SOOOOO STOKED TO HAVE YALL BACK 🐟🐟🐟
Great episode guys! On our passage we didn’t have much of a bird problem, Lindo and Mcfly dispatched them very quickly.lol
Hej Nahoa, dejligt at følge jer, spændende tur og liv i har ombord.
😀😀👍👍❤❤ Wow 400K+ subscribers! Very well done indeed. Filming, editing and the all-important narration! Bye from Seattle, WA.
Crazy thinkin back at the time yall were back in Canada talking about how you were lucky to get 10k views on your videos. I believe that's when you were pregnant with Brody. Not look at you guys ❤❤. No one deserves the success more than your family. Now time for me to catch up on all the videos I have missed.
Ihr lebt die beste Version eines Lebens das man haben kann... Love it ❤❤❤
5:27 I love Goldie Hawn, great reference 🎉
Well I just finished watching Kon-Tiki. Thanks. You guys are so down to earth. So refreshing. Be safe.
Hmm you had to rename the title?
Youre in the top 3 of best parents i know, youre doing awesome, and your kids are going to grow up and have a great life!
I found you about 5 or 6 years ago and have enjoyed the voyage. The equator ceremony was super cute.
Great job with your kiddos, mom and dad. Wonderful little family ❤
Ben, your wife is a hero! You better never forget that day and night and night and day! And treat her as such
What a great adventure and life this is for your babies and you!! Really love your channel!
Another great video you are a lovely family making great memories and having a great adventure with your kids witch are both beautiful 🥰
I love the squalls even though they're hazardous for sailing ⛵️.
WOW ! Awesome parents! Best sailing channel By far.
Big hugs for all the non bugs on board and scoot a boot to the boobies pooh. It’s always a pleasure to catch up with yall. Games, playtime, and learning is what keeps this 69 year old lady wanting to keep on kickin it round the next corner. So proud to have gotten to think of yall as people I would have as my friends. Special folks- all four of you lil monkeys. Thanks for being patient and thinking things through. Makes it easier to rely on your safety. Looking forward to the gorgeous waters around the French islands etc. Love and God willing you have good winds and fair enough seas. Hasta luego mis amigos y amigas.
Laughed out loud when you put that brush off the bow like a prodder, knew it would make a great bird perch 😂 we have the same issue in the coral sea here in Australia. 💩 drives us crazy, we’re up to bird buster 5000. Full video if you ever find a solution 🤪
You two (mom and dad) are awesome parents! Safe travels
I just love the way your kids have virtually no fear. Not many kids are bought up that way anymore
You guys rock. I just love watching all your updates and adventures. Thank you for keeping posting.
Hello fellow 🇨🇦 love your channel, what an epic adventure.
Another nice video, love watching all of them. I am curious how much fresh water you can produce in a 24 hour period and how often do you have to run it. I remember getting our first reverse osmosis water maker, It was a game changer .
Aw, man! New Shellbacks, knighted by old King Neptune himself. You two are the best Mom & Dad ever.
You guys are awesome! What an inspiration y’all are! Love that fear will not stop you!!! ❤❤❤❤
Congratulations to all of you! You might want to stay as long as you can in the SI. Keep an eye on what happens here in the US. Consider what happens if ... the USA falls to a dictatorship or Invasion. What will your family do? Where you are heading may be one of the few places one can ... hide. Consider what you would do if you needed to be totally off grid for 3 years? Keep an eye on November 29th of this year. Fair Winds Nahoa! (Dorian and Cathy, SV Arcanum)
This is the best!!! Thanks for the cool footage! Oh, your kids have the BEST names! Take care!
Great vid, you guys stay safe, your always a joy to watch and follow
So beautiful, nice to know that you have no time for being board
Great to see you guys again! Great video! Cheers from Lisa in Winnipeg ❤🎉
I just noticed that I was smiling the entire video ❤ Nahoa videos!
Love this! I know this isnt the most appropriate place for a question but... I'm in the very prelim stages of living aboard in a couple years. Starting off in the Adriatic. I thought circumnavigating in a cat was dangerous??? Obviously not if you are doing it again. Have you had any close calls, scary situations, etc?
In "Ship of Gold in the Deep Blue Sea", author Gary Kinder chronicles how Tommy Thompson while working for Mel Fisher on board a dredge in Florida, had a problem with sea bird quango accumulating and smelling to high heaven. Tommy hit on the idea of electrofying the top cable in the rigging that the birds landed on. He would throw a switch and off all the birds would fly! All was working fine till one old bird learned that if he lifted a foot, he wouldn't get zapped. Soon the rest of the flock followed suit and they were in bird poo again.
So Tommy reversed the polarity of the rigging wires, and squawk off went the flock! Then the wise old bird learned to lift the other foot and that soon was picked up by the whole flock. Well so much for keeping the fowl off the wires and offal off the decks! It did offer a synchronized choras line of sea bird conga line that put to music was quite comical.

I bet it was! Thx for the tale
The multicultural experiences are so wonderful. May you increasingly distinguish the good from the bad in each, to ultimately discover, know, and love the creator of the heavens, the earth, and the seas. Thank you for sharing your knowledge! Godspeed!
Stay at Sea guys your safety is there as things start to fall apart you have the opportunity to go where it's staying together just as you move away from hurricanes Cyclones you can move away from eminent struggle on land Willow and Bodie are safe with you I watched you guys grow I'm watching the kids grow so quickly I want you to be safe please stay at sea you will regret it if you stop
You are making great progress!
I like the Shellbacks I’ve been initiated US Navy
What I should said is the little Polywogs are now Shellbacks
The kids are getting so big and they’re beautiful.
Thanks for taking us along in your journey.
My friends brought me back silver blue footed boobie earrings.
Interesting video, cool kids, I appreciate that you keep it classy.
Great episode. Well done 🎉
Always fun to watch you and the kids. ❤
Thanks for sharing ❤❤ we love your videos.
You two are bloody fearless!!!
Bluefooted boobies get their blue feet from carotenoid pigments in their diet of fresh fish, such as sardines and anchovies. The pigments are concentrated in the boobies' feet, where they modify the skin's aligned collagen structures to make the feet appear blue. The more concentrated the pigments, the more intense the blue color 💙. The Galapagos Islands are on my bucket list.
Thanks for sharing.
Would be cool to hit Hawaii then Alaska then down the west coast and continue on.😊
Our sunrises, sunsets and blue skies are just like that .... every single day
So what’s the latest on the new boat?
Cheers from Edmonton.
Great channel and videos. Safe Sailing.😎
Thx for the update, Fair Skies...
Passing the Galapagos
Torture!!!!
That part at the end was golden but hadn't the kids already cross the Equator in the Atlantic
i am from indonesia before your have children i watch you to sailing sea and be careful for your next destination
The BEST UA-cam channel!
Concerned that your kids don't wear life jackets while on deck.
Thank you for sharing the adventure!
Maybe you should try roasted seabird ...that might discourage the others ..!
Congratulations 😊
You guys Rock
Fabulous education!
Great episode
