I have lots of VHS tapes still. All the Disney movies from the Renaissance Era from 89 to 99, jurassic park, the lost world, ET, Titanic 2 VHS set of course because it's a long movie, Cinderella 1950 animated, the fox and the hound, the jungle book, fantasia, a history of violence, star wars the phantom menace. I wish I had the original star wars trilogy on VHS because those were the unedited unlucasified versions lol but my favorite VHS is probably Toy Story (I forgot to mention that in my list). I also love ET.
@@StaticBlaster Which Star Wars trilogy set are looking for? They sets I see a lot at the goodwill are 1995 when they added THX it’s black box set. 1997 trilogy special edition remastered gold box set. Think it was 2000s when they lucafied but not sure. Haven’t seen any vhs prior to 1995 which is the set I had as a youngling.
That was awesome to see. Lots of great detail and artwork. The Halloween and snowglobe is my favorite as well as the hereditary is limited. I never knew about the snowglobe set for Halloween, thanks
Elm ST 3 was the first in the series i rented back in 88? or so then watched 1 & 2 in order. 3 is my fav too. I always liked the video covers like you. Started renting in 85 or so. Would rent 3 or more sometimes trying finish them and not be late. lol Would stay up most of the night sometimes falling asleep during the last 1 I so agree with you about video stores. I remember buying previously viewed newer releases, scanning everything in the bins "as if my life depended on getting the first copy" ; ) "Billy"
Love Graveyard Shift (1990) I also like The Night Flier & From Beyond the Grave Yes when the library was open, i rented a bunch there. Also found cheap movies for sale. Once got the Alien DVD Box set (9 discs) only $3
Great collection, Jay! I am still an avid VHS collector and I always love seeing other people's collection. That snowglob Halloween set is one of my most wanted Halloween editions. I hope to find that for a good price one day. I agree, Anchor Bay used to put out the best releases for horror films! Love the look of the Nightmre 4 tape and I have the big box of 2000 maniacs and really enjoyed the film.
deadbydawn93 hey my friend, how have you been? I miss Anchor bay, they treated us right as horror fans with all kinds of groovy editions! I hope you can find the Halloween snow globe set for a good deal, keep looking, maybe garage sales and flea markets and such. What’s a cool VHS you picked up recently?
Did you ever see Stranded (1987) ? It's only available on VHS as far as i know. Lesser known, but i thought it was pretty good. It stars Ione Skye & Joe Morton. I copied it from youtube.
I know this comment comes quite late, but anyway. I still have VHS tapes. I have all Elm Street movies on VHS, but not all are originals, only parts 1, 2, 4, 5 and some episodes of Freddy's Nightmares. My favorite Elm Street is part 3. Also I have Friday the 13th parts 1-6, 8 and 9 on VHS. Part 8 is recorded from television. Halloween movies I have parts 1, 2 and 5. Part 2 is recorded. I have also comedy and action movies on VHS. Original tapes I have little over 200.
Better late than never! Sounds like you’ve got a great VHS collection. I wish I kept more of my original tapes I had growing up. You need Friday the 13th part 7! Did they make part 10 on VHS?
@@Absolutesublime1 I had part 7 on VHS, copied one. I've lost it somewhere, maybe few moves ago. I'm not sure about part 10. It might be on VHS. By the time it came, I was already buying DVDs and I wasn't that interested on VHS anymore. Just little over year ago I bought VCR and started to buy VHS tapes again. I also had more tapes, recorded and originals. Now I copy my tapes to my computer.
Hereditary is the bomb, Jay, I too really responded to that one and quickly added it to my collection. And I couldn't agree more about Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors being the best of the sequels in that franchise. What fun that one was even with Patricia Arquette's incessant screaming. I can watch it over & over. What a comeback after that dreadful Part 2 Freedy's Revenge. Ugh! P.O.S.
Good ol' VHS, it was painful to part with mine when DVD debuted. Now I don't even have a VCR or VHS player. We move along with technology! I miss my job at the video stores, that was a good time, the perfect job for a movie nerd like me.
My favorite H.G. Lewis film is Blood Feast. Man it's an O.K. collection I don't have any of them. I have 100s of horror VHS but my Holy Grail are videocassettes from Venezuela. My favorites have to be "No Profanar El Sueño De Los Muertos"(Living Dead At The Manchester Morgue in Spanish) and "El Asesino De Muñecas"(The Doll Killer). Good showing and cool video!👍
Do you have any VHS? If so what’s your favorite VHS?
I have exactly zero VHS and exactly zero VCRs. Do miss the sound of rewind and the clock flashing 12:00.

I’ve probably got like 20 and my favorite is Psycho.
I have nearly over a hundred, I'm a VHS collector xD

Love the snow globe release for Halloween
It’s still one of my favorite collector’s editions in my collection to this day, they should do more snow globe sets.
