There are times when people seriously dislike you. No matter, how good you are, how good your attitude is. Better to move on to a place where you will be appreciated and will have a high chance of climbing the ladder.
All of these or just become so good at something that they can't ignore you... Biggest lies sold to our generation is to network your way to success without emphasizing on skill development. The old generation has one of the most biased hiring process.
Honestly, there are exceedingly few fields where that's possible. You definitely need to develop hard skills but the soft stuff is necessary to advance in the corporate ladder. We're social animals.
@@johnduncan9036 yh take the sport industry for example. To be at the top of that field requires exceptional devotion to skill development however in the music industry networking determines how far you go. yep "networking" / corruption no wonder why there are more male billionionaires than female and less female black billionaires than any other class it is ALL a mixture of luck / underlying factors out of your control and that are technically detailed and that can be ignored and hidden from someone if they want to stay delusional and corruption mostly in that order the stero type of oh "born to rich family and get connections" is overused by a long shot 90+% of corruption comes from someones career track along the way who you meet that is powerful how well your personalities just happen to aline how much they are willing to prop you up etc

Or you could always just live your own life and enjoy the time you have left. The longer you spend fawning over people you perceive to be ‘senior’ to you - the more you’ll become like them and not your own self. Keep in touch with friends & lose touch with people who treat you badly. If you sell out for money, you’ll find there’s no amount that will satisfy you or allow you to become ‘comfortable’. You won’t ‘leave it all behind’ as you’ll have become someone you’re not by becoming a clone of the bosses you say that you are just trying to ‘network’ with. Life is short and you’ll be happiest being true to yourself.
