They became lethargic, always closed their eyes, dwelled on the bottom of the cage and one eventually was so weak he had to drag him self up and down the cage with his beak. Be cautious about unethical pet shops. A lot of breeders inbreed and it's damaging and dangerous to the bird and inflicts emotional wherewithal upon the owner. I returned them both without asking for a refund. Now I have a super healthy and cute budgie from a pet store that's specifically for birds in Royal Oak, MI. I'll be getting my budgie, Pressica a new sister soon. I'm buying a separate cage and I'll socialize them slowly before caging them together. I hope you get to the bottom of what's going on. A local bird shop may be able to observe and assist in connecting you with an affordable Avian vet.
