  • I've released a Vlog nearly every week (with only a couple exceptions) for the last several years, and believe it or not, I've never specifically covered the topic of alcohol. Watch this week's Vlog to hear the reason for that along with a detailed discussion around alcohol and Bright Line Eating.

Alcohol has derailed me several times in 5+ years of doing BLE!!! Research has affirmed my knowing that I’m a 10++++++ on the “Alcohol susceptibility scale” 😅I love being sober and being 100% BLE💜

Same here! I was having a martini everyday. It's a lot easier to let your guard down when you're "buzzed". I'm kicking the habit for sure!

Something I have discovered in my “research” with alcohol is that the next day I will crave sugar and be more prone to snacking. Excellent information about the worry and planning that goes through a person’s mind before attending a social event over food and alcohol. I recently moved to a resort area that has a lot of retirees and now that we are allowed to gather together, our neighborhood socials are firing up the planning in my head! 🤦🏼‍♀️ Truth is, I have come across many people with dietary restrictions. The “Not My Food/Drink” mantra brings peace. I feel so much more confidence when I keep my lines and I don’t give in to peer pressure. (I’m preaching to myself here.) I am worth it! YOU are worth it!

I joined BLE on September 28, 2020, when my drinking was out of control (not it's worst but not great). I couldn't stop eating or drinking - I'm a 10+++. I haven't been a crystal vaser by any means, but I've drunk maybe 5 times and I've only had one hangover ever since. This program changes lives.

Another great message from Susan! It’s on track with her mission of supporting freedom from food addiction while giving adults the ownership of their own path and “research.” Bravo!

I have this internal struggle quite a bit since re-zooming. Boredom does that to me. Back in 2019-20 when I was in BLE journey I made a conscious decision to have a drink every Friday night at line dancing. It worked for me then I think because if I drank more than one I had a hard time remembering the line dances so I was limited. I am a 10 on the scale.

My first break was alcohol. It was 8 months after I started boot camp. I planned for it. But I took it overboard. I'm not an alcoholic. I literally realized 4 days after starting boot camp: oh crap. No sugar means no alcohol. My first break was a bad one. It's my all or nothing perspective just doesn't work. I'm a ten on the susceptibility scale. I've been sober now since 2018. I gave in to peer pressure on a trip to Australia. However, research is how I looked at it.

I have been waiting for this one! Thank you. The shared drink at night with my spouse is where I'm struggling too. This helps.

I can’t drink ethanol and have bright lines. Alcohol makes me feel awful and never added anything to my life! Great video.

I am a 7 on the secetability scale and have a regular planned glass of wine once a week. It has not derailed me nor do I have any chatter around it. But I also know that two glasses get me sicker than a dog since I am partially alcohol intolerant and a super high lightweight and I hate the feeling of being drunk ... if I end up getting drunk then my body will start purging and I wont be able to drink for years!

I am a 10+++ on susceptibility scale, and I have struggled with giving up my 1 Marguerita every couple weeks or so. I didn't realize that was causing me to want sugar again UNTIL I saw this video. I commit to NOT having that drink, and will see how it affects my cravings.

I've tried BLE on my own and on the free facebook page but I struggle with consistency. How do I dive in deeper and make more of a commitment with accountability to get through this food battle that food is clearly winning over and over? Ty for your guidance

Hi, Krystle! Great question! The best way to "come all the way in" is in the Boot Camp. We invite you to learn more here: ble.life/64tz. The Boot Camp is the most immersive experience available and includes weekly coaching calls and monthly coaching calls with Dr. Joy Jacobs, an eating disorder specialist. You will also be put into a private online support community with other Boot Campers. There's also weekly course material that you can work through on your own timeline and so much more to help you in your journey to food freedom.
Let us know if you have any other questions we can help you with. We'd be honored to support you in your journey.

Boot camp! Everyone wants to do BLE on the cheap, but boot camp is worth every cent! After almost 5 years in the BLE community I see more success among those who begin with boot camp. Not many people can do it on their own with just the book.

I believe support & accountability are key. You need a buddy (I have 3) & a weekly mastermind group. Accountability & support. Boot camp teaches you the why & how, it’s foundational. There’s a discount for the boot camp I can share with you if you’re interested. In just over 1 year I have released 87 pounds with just over 30 more to let go of.

Would a glass of wine replace your fruit? I'm confused how alcohol would be okay of there is sugar in it? Can you please add your advice please? Or anyone else reading my questions, thank you.
