That muji mechanical pencil is one of the best pencils I've ever used for sketching in my life. I used to use the heavier metal muji pencil but then I swapped and it really helped me improve because it's so lightweight it's easy to control the lines on my sketches, I don't use muji lead or normal coloured lead I usually use coloured uni nano dia color erasable lead and it's a match made in heaven. I just hate the rubber at the end because when you use it a lot it gets small and it's hard to remove so you can replace the lead.

I’ve been trying to use up some of my pens too- I’m constantly drawing diagrams and writing side notes in colour just because I want to use up my coloured pens instead of always just finishing my black pens.

Glad to hear that I'm not the only one🙈 I've got tons of red and light blue pens bought through the years, and I'm seriously struggling to finish them before they won't write anymore... That's why my notes are rainbow style 🌈

I usually just have one correction tape, one pilot 0.3 black pen , one fineliner, one mechanical pencil and eraser, 2 colors of stabilo highlighter of my choice,and three colors of crayola supertips.

I've tried the Sharpie gel pens in .38 and I'm in love with it! I got a small pack to start with and it's been a great decision. I am currently doing a similar thing...but I'm doing a less-buy. It's been great. Plus Any stationary I have not used at all or used only once maybe, I have donated to a local refugee organization and gave some to friends as well as my brother's classroom. I'm doing a mini Marie Condo in my life and it has been a huge sigh of relief.
I really like the stabilo swing cool pastels as they are usually readily available in the shops near me at a reasonable price and the colours are really pretty. The only annoying thing is the dot of ink that is left at the end after highlighting which seeps through the page.

And I swear my views on stabilo highlighters are same as yours and the only reason i use them is cz i wanna use them up somehow lol.
I love staedtler ones too, because they never bleed through and are very smooth and versatile.
My favorite pastel ones are by Schneider but they're not very popular.
For everybody like me who doesn’t have every mildliner and hundreds of different Sarasa pens , you tubers like tbh studying and study quill are the best !!!!!

Omgggg, your pencil case is so extremely beautiful! Like, i would use it as a ñurse or something ahahah
I love the Sharpie Fineliners for all the reasons you mentioned, but I will note for anyone looking in the comments that I have chronic pain in my wrist and hand and struggle to use the sharpie fineliners for long periods of time without pain, so I use them very minimally (i.e. for outlining rather than for writing).

aaaaaaa u used up all your black pens that's one heck of a feat seo!! i'm on a no-buy too & now i know why i barely make a dent in using up my pens, i don't curate what i should use at a time and just grab any pen in my organizer lol
yeah, i've found that the easiest way to use things up is to really focus on what i am using and using one pen at a time!

I bought the zebra mildliners bc of these kinds of videos and I hate them. I use them to not waste them but I have so many issues with them from smudging the pen/pencil underneath to smearing in my hands to transferring pen/pencil to other lines. Did I just get bad pens or do people really only like them bc they are pretty pastels?
I think it depends on the pen! I had those mildliners too and they work for some pens~
I’d recommend using a .4 or .35 pen if you want less smudging. I tend to highlight at the end of my sentences and stuff so those few seconds in between help reduce and or completely eliminate smudging. I really like the color rage for those highlighters, hopefully this helps
i find that the mildliners are quite inky when they're new and i personally use them as markers rather than highlighters for a couple of days to use up the extra ink. as for highlighting, i also find that additional pressure on the tip causes more smearing. hope this helps!

I've been on a year-long no buy, but it's mostly because shipping is expensive and I'm too scared to ask for stuff ;-;
I'm glad that's the case for me though. Because it's a long process to get stuff online, I get to think a lot before getting what I want. I used to be obsessed with getting stationary for journalling that I would spend over $25 a month on stuff on AliExpress (I have over 50 washi tapes sitting in my drawer right now.) But then I realised that bujo just wasn't for me and have since then switched to Notion. So now I have those washi tapes and pens sitting in my drawer collecting dust. It's a pain because you realise how much money you spend on these things before realizing that: hey, I don't actually like this after all.
Maybe scatter the stars and put a clear sheet over the table. So the stars are visible but don't move around.

Bonjour!!! new subbie🥰I loooove your video, as a mum of 3 lioneses, I always try to re-use as many things as I can😅but I see how "consumism" is eating us... Anyway, what I am trying to say it's that you don't need a mountain of expensive pens, or highliters to have good results... I think is better to only have a few of good quality, but that's only my opinion😬
