You make me chuckle, Dean. I live in New Zealand, so your shops and ours are quite different. However, I have discovered that buying stores own label foods is often not only better value, but better flavour, better ingredient combinations (less sugar, less salt, less preservatives) and far more enjoyable. Recently, as a quick option, I bought a stores own chicken nuggets. We had some visitors coming, with small kids, so needed to feed everyone easily. They turned out to be the best nuggets any of us had tasted, aside from those at the golden arches, which everyone loved. The stores own were far, far better than the top branded ones, and even nicer than I could make from scratch (which I normally would do) So it not only pays to shop around, but it is worth trying cheaper options to see what you're getting. I only eat store brand baked beans now - instead of premium beans costing $3.70 a can, I get them for 95c! The nuggets were $12/kg, whereas the branded ones are $15/750g!
Genuinely do some research, the way we keep chickens in the UK is horrifying, Halal farms often have much better quality of life. I’d happily have halal meat if it means the chicken hasn’t had to sit in its own piss and shit. Do some research
very poor chicken and Halal!! are you aware on how Halal meat is prepared?? personally very cruel way to slaughter and animal!!! will not eat any Halal meat!!
Yeah, because the way we do it over here is in the best benefits of the animal and it feels nothing....... aside from the fact that tests were done to see if animals feel the same amount of pain after being stunned - and guess what? They do. If you're so against Halal then don't be a hypocrite and go vegan.
Yeah Deano... £0.79 a bag is just about all these Gino's Nuggets & Popcorn Chicken are worth pal... But if Heron Foods can sell these bags for £0.79 each and still make a profit... Just think of the money these other supermarkets are making on them... At Asda they cost £2.40 a bag on offer for the Nuggets... And the Popcorn for £2.80 a bag... At Morrisons they're both priced at £2.90 a bag... People don't mind so much when paying a premium... If they're actually getting a top quality tasty product... But these are usually made for those without a discerning palate... In other words "kids"... But anyone can buy a Whole Ready Cooked Roast Chicken for between £4.50 in Iceland... And £5.50 in Morrisons...That's also cheaper than the two 500g bags of these Gino's Nuggets & Popcorn Chicken from Tesco. 👍
Hi Deano, I always buy plain mayo but add my own garlic to it, it doesn't matter if powder or fresh then you can get it to the flavour that you want xx
Great tip for cuttig the bag! 👍. I refuse to buy anything Halal. We have animal welfare rules in this country for a reason. As far as I'm concerned it shouldn't be allowed!
Tesco's are everywhere, Heron Foods few and far between, For example, I am in West London, and my nearest Heron store is in Luton, 100s of miles away! Not much choice for most, so you're just depressing your viewers!!!

Bland, because the chicken is pumped full of water
The reason why they were 79p is the sell by date
Halal… nope no thanks
Halal,no thanx

I always worry about what parts of the chicken you are eating with that processed type chicken.
Don’t we eat most parts of the chicken away, maybe the head, but I think that would be all bone, and a bit of skin,we eat skin too.
Lips and Assholes....hang on, do chickens have lips? 😂
Why does it bother you - it's all dead parts at the end of the day......

1000% should be banned in the UK

Halal - won't be trying them then.
Why not UK chicken
Exactly, no sustainability 🤷♂️ we are a multicultral country now so that probably explains it
Sorry deano rubbish.
Don't give them to sandy.
🎉🎉🎉.

Price difference explains why Tesco are one of if not the most profitable supermarket chains in the UK 😮😊
Heron foods and B&M make more profit per £1 spent than Tesco 3p for every £1 spent I think Heron and B&M 10p per £1

🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢

I wouldn’t even Buy them from Heron…….. HALAL not for me 🤮🤮👍

Halal isnt anthing different lol some people rasis
I agree, very inhumane way to kill an animal. RSPCA are against it, i am too. disgusting!! will not eat any Halal meat!!
Would you eat kosher? I eat meat 🍖 I'm indifferent tò how it's killed. Its tomatoes I feel sorry for 😂
One for animal cruelty then are you? @@robertcreighton4635
We dont have Heron foods down south.
Cheap coz they will be rank
79p is a good deal and just add more seasoning on them.
more than that is far too much money.
Worth the watch jusf gor the freezer bag hack
No Heron Foods down south. Not even a Pound Bakery or Wenzels here in Kent, meh!!
Sounds like they are only just value at Heron..... Extortion at Tesco....

used to love going heron foods ours shut down 18months ago
No pleasing you
Great hack Deano I will try this , it’s better than using pegs.😊
The comments saying they won't eat halal but probably eat cheap & fast food meat that's kept and slaughtered in the most inhumane/filthy conditions 😂
Keep in the freezer. Excellent for a very quick snack, especially after a few drinks
Put some chilli sauce on the dish.
Just wrong on every level Deano...just not fair on people ❤
That's insane both Kylan and I agree. I have tomato sauce ❤ Have a nice day Deano ❤
I toss my nuggets in honey or hot honey then add some toasted sesame seeds.. soooo good!!!
Heron foods is not an option for us “down South”, there are no branches within the M25. 😢
😂 as eddie would say this is shit
Bet the use by date wasn't 30th November in Tesco's -
Haven’t got a heron foods, and don’t complain about the sun, when we haven’t seen it in weeks
If you havent got a Heron try going to B&M, I understand they are owned by the same parent Company
@ ok thanks
@@MichaelCampin B&M stores have no frozen food and a limited range of items in the chilled section
Wow such healthy options. Talking about sunshine, go to Malaga and Marbella. "The rain in Spain stays mainly in the PLANE...." So true....
Ginos do good icecream but these hmm 😒
Tesco have no shame, remember the horsemeat meat scandal, will never forgive nor forget
