- Just got my hands on the brand new Arturia Keylab Essential MK3, so I decided to make a chill lofi beat with it. Really love the feel of the keys and the connectivity with Arturia's software, it makes it super easy to make music!

NIce set up and beat! You REALLY should make a video on how you hooked up your KLE mk3 to Studio One. Popular midi controller and a LOT of people are lost trying to make in work with it. Small video that would help a lot of people ✌✌

@@nicrollo hey hey! Perfect timing! I'm getting mine in 2 weeks. I know where to go if I need to look up some info to make it work in S1. 😉 Thanks for taking the time to make this. I'm pretty sure I would have managed but I see a lot of people struggling to get it to connect with DAWs that don't have script made by Arturia. That will surely help.

I've been using studio one for a year now and I just got the mk3. Sadly I cannot figure out how to configure it to work in studio one. I was just wondering what you did to get yours to work.

Hi Nic,
If I set Chord to "min. Triad" and Scale to "Cm" and press the Eb key, the keyboard plays Eb+F+Bb instead of Eb+G+C => the III° of Cm. VI and VII° are also incorrect. Am I doing something wrong in the settings or is it a keyboard bug?

Yo! You just need to add a midi instrument and select the keylab as the input!

Nope! Just install the software from arturia and then add it as a keyboard in studio one!

Thanks 😊 . Are you happy with the Keybed ? I’ve read that the mk3 essential is similar to the mk2 but without the aftertouch? Little nuances are important for me , but portability too , so I’m still undecided . And in the age of online buying , I don’t know anyone around who has one 🧐

Does the Keyboard Interface work with other software Instruments top? For ex logic menues
It should! You can map the different knobs and sliders to different parameters, it just works best with Arturia plugins as they're pre-mapped, if that makes sense.
Do you think I should buy this keyboard?
I'm definitely enjoying using it! If you use arturia's synth plugins I feel like the integration works really nicely and the keys feel good. For it's price point I'd definitely consider it!

can i ask how you set it up with Studio one?
You just go into settings, midi settings and then can add it there. If you need a video on this I can make one :) Although I'm sure there's plenty of videos already on it!!
@@nicrollo hey man, this probably a stupid question but is it possible to load drum sounds from Impact Xt onto the keylab pads, and load a VST instrument (i.e strings from a kontakt library) onto the keylab keys simultaenously?
