Are you looking for something like the Dorman 621300? That shows up (along with other brands of the same product) for my 99 suburban OBS in the AC condenser fan assembly section of rockauto. Ive been looking into it recently and trying to find an installation guide. 105 degrees here in utah the past few weeks and my AC is struggling in traffic
Thank you for watching and your answer. That 621-300 looks appealing, you think it will fit the space on the driver side pushing into the condenser ? Or is it more for a gmt800 ? Same situation here on got 95+ days in stop And go it’s not cold enough, but driving 55+ A/C works great. Does the assembly diagram show how it fits in the 99 ? Does it show 1 or 2 ?
Ok I’m looking at rock auto and I see all the offerings have a certain shape so I imagine that’s designed to fit our space. Thanks for this lead. I should have gone to rock auto first. Do you have any idea how you will hook yours up ? Possibly a manual switch or is there a harness ? Or I’ve read where some tie it in to work when the fan speed is on high only, that seems like an appealing idea. GB
Max thanks for watching and the comment. I just looked up The 621300, looks like the 98-99 factory part, very appealing, but odd no reviews on their website, maybe we can be the first? Are you doing a separate switch or possibly wire into your high fan speed? Did you order a particular relay? www.napaonline.com/en/p/NOE621300
@@georgiabigfoot I didn't order any type of particular relay or anything it looks as if the fan comes with a factory harness connector. When I pulled the old one out I'm going to look around the engine bay and see if I see a loose harness connector anywhere that matches and that's kind of what I'm hoping if not then well I'm going to have to come up with plan b. Fingering out how to trigger it only at low speeds is going to be "fun"...
@@maxheadroom6183 I hear ya. I just found a thread on gmt400 about the 621300, and possible various connections, what year is your 2500? Here’s the link, page 4 of the thread www.gmt400.com/threads/electrical-upgrade-just-do-it.51911/page-4
