Been having this problem for years. The stealership quoted me $350 to change out the switch. Even if the switch was bad I wouldn't let those bastards do it when one can be had for $125 and an easy 15 minute change out. After watching your video, this completely solved the issue of the window not going back up. Thanks man! You saved me some $$.
Ha! Had same problem with my 2008, and bought a replacement switch, installed it, and it worked just fine. Thanks to your video, took my old one apart, wiped it down, contacts looked good, put back together ... and it works! I think there is a tiny bit of lube on the two white plastic sticks, that after many years just wore off. Thanks again for the video!
Clean the top and slides of the window. Mazda have very tight sealing on the window. With road dirt it will jam in place. Replaced board in my Mazda same result as before. Cleaned top of window and slides bingo fixed. I also applied a little silicon lube.
wow I just watched ur video, did everything you did step by step and it actually worked. Now my driver window is going up and down Perfectly. Thanks bro you just saved me 300 or who knows how much the auto repair shop would've raped me for.
From everything I've read and tested, you only need to reprogram if you disconnect the battery. Use passenger side window (not driver side master) - hold 'down' until window is down, hold for 5 seconds, hold 'up' until window is up, hold for 5 seconds. reprogram done :D
Thank you got issues with my Mazda 2 sport doing the exact same thing window just stopped going up but down worked fine. i removed the door card snipped the wires going to the Moter and flipped them so down was up and it started working so im guessing my up Butten has an issue my next step is to take the switch out and do as you did disassemble see if there's something lose in there,
For that firm factory new feeling in your switches I seen a life hack video were you cut 1.5 millimeter approx steam off of a plastic q tip place it flat in the cup part.
08 MS3 here and there are screws to the bezel from the switch but the whole bezel with switch should come out while leaving the door panel in. The rear part of the bezel is where you pry up from first and when freed you have to pull the bezel to the rear to free the front.

mcdeelo7 Glad to help! I just wish I had more videos to help more people!
mcdeelo7. My window is stuck down would it be more likely to be the motor?
is that the kind you have to reprogram the microprocessor to get the auto part to work?

will try your fix and see what happens. Thanks
You have to take out the door panel to get at switch?
batterista Yes. It's has some screws keeping it in place.
