Miss Lori, I enjoy your videos so much. I never had anyone show me the cooking like you show and I just love it. Makes me feel like I"m there with you and that your teaching just me. Thank you for sharing your love of cooking and saving money and keeping traditions going. I so appreciate it. Enjoy your day! Catherine
I have started my "collection" of my own spices. It is so much better for celiacs cutting out all of the ingredients that your body does not need. Thanks, Miss Lori for sharing.
I love these kind of videos! Thank you! I don't like the packets because of all the weird ingredients.
Came back to say..PLEASE DO MORE HOME MADE SEASONINGS..PLEASEEEE!!! BLESSINGS
Would like to see some more Homemade seasoning mixes
Me too.
Me three! :)
Me 4
Me 5

Thank you so much for sharing these spice recipes. You are so rigjt about the dry onion soup and a roast. I have done that for years. A chuck roast in a slow cooker with a packet of dry onion soup mix, a can of golden mushroom soup and a can of cream of celery soup. Pour the dry soup and condensed soups over the pot roast and vegetables in your slow cooker. Rinse each soup can with a little water and pour into the slow cooker. Cook low 6-8 hrs. A great pot roast with a wonderful gravy. Love all of your videos. God bless
Thank you. That sounds delicious and is easy. I heard and tasted this years ago, but not exactly as you say.
I make my own seasoning mixes also. They are so much better and you know all of the ingredients. I order one to two pound bulk packages of most of my seasonings like cumin, coriander, onion and garlic powder, pepper etc. And they are all organic brands. The herbs from my herb garden is also used in my own seasonings. I make enough to give some to my Son and his wife. I enjoy making them. I love your videos and how down to earth you are. I spend almost the whole day watching your videos. I am retired so I have the extra time. 😊☕
Today I made a Ground Beef & Pasta soup using your Onion Soup mix. Oh my it was so good. Thank You very much for the recipe.
That's great you use a lot of parsley. I'll never forget how "The Juiceman" Jay Kordich used to say that parsley was his favorite ingredient because it is so full of minerals! Regarding the onion powder and garlic powder, I do love those BUT I live in a humid part of the country in Central Texas and both of those always get too easily rock hard even in airtight jars, so I have begun to use garlic and onion granules in lieu of the powder and it's worked really well.
I am a big believer in using organic spices whenever possible because they are not irradiated and are just more wholesome. I find that they are not so expensive when you -- if you can -- buy them in bulk. Once in a while that can be hard to find or do, so I always go for non-GMO whenever possible as well.
I got those jars and put up my home grown dried herbs but they don't hold enough. Now I see that I need to make my own mixes with my dried herbs. I'll put the mixes in the cute bottles and my dried herbs in the empty coffee, creamer, etc. plastic containers. I couldn't find the Fiesta mix and wanted to try it so now - thank you very much, I'll make my own. Easy peazy!
Thank you , Mrs lori.
I wrote them down today , ive made the taco mix now 4x and triple it each time , also the onion mix and fiesta mix.
Saves so much money these days plus we know whats in our food .
God bless you & mr. Danny

Wonderful!
Miss Lori, Love Leisa from Suttons Daze, She taught me how to can meat.
I've been binge watching your videos in the evenings after my very loud and rambunctious little kids are in bed. It's relaxing to listen to your southern accent (I'm Canadian), sweet demeanor, and learning about your southern way of life and cooking.
Mrs Lori you should make a cookbook , I know I would love to have one !! You cook like my mom .. Love watching your videos 💚

Ms Lori I will definitely be saving this video. There are a few spices I don't have but I will be getting them and making these mixes. Thank you. Be safe and well. Lord bless.
I could just watch you all day! ♥️♥️♥️
Please keep these coming Miss Laurie!! I love dry seasoning mixes. I would love one for Italian Dressing. The kind you mix with oil & vinegar to make dressing.
I like your comment about tasting the food and correcting the seasoning. In every culture in the world there is a saying that translates roughly to - it's a lousy cook that won't taste her own cooking! So very very true. And taste often!
Your voice is so comforting and soothing.
Miss Lori, yur taco seasoning mix is the BEST!
Thank you for sharing your seasoning mix recipes. Cyndee from panhandle of Texas 🌼🌸🌺
Loved this video! Please do a series on the mixes you make. Enjoy watching you so much. I feel like I am right there in your kitchen. God bless you and Mr. Brown.
Ive seen those little jars at dollar tree too!!!! With shaker tops and plain lids!!!!🐈🐈🐈🐈💞💞💞💞
Thank you for the great recipes, Lori! Can't wait to make them all, and put them to good use. My daughter uses so many of the packaged mixes, so she'll love this money-saving and healthier way. She has a birthday at the end of this month (#32), so I think these would make some wonderful gifts for her... thank you!! 🥰 I really love and enjoy watching you make things in your beautiful, charming, and functional kitchen. You have the most calming and pleasant voice, and a wonderful way of cooking and baking. God's blessings to you, Danny...😉 (the Mountain Man!), and your whole family! 💞👏👍🧂💖
Love your videos! My mama is gone. She used to whip up all kinds of "southern concoctions". Wish I would have paid closer attention!😣
Lori I like all the mixes you did. They looked really good. I hope you enjoy your day. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.
🎈🎊🎉🎈🎊🎉🎈

Thank you Ms.Lori for sharing all these special recipes to help save money .God Bless you & Mr.Brown.
Loved seeing these homemade seasonings. Looking forward to more and hoping for a Mushroom Gravy type seasoning!
What a wonderful idea! I noticed that when I buy a mixed seasoning, sometimes there is a spice in the bottle I don't care for so when I make my own, I eliminate it. Thank you for sharing another great video Miss Lori. I hope you don't mind me saying how much I love yours and Mr Browns accent I think it's so lovely and can listen to you talk all day💜
Yes! I'm a Southern girl. Y'll speak my language!
Thank you for these mixes. Looking forward to next video. I'll be making these for my grandchildren also as well as our house. God bless you & thanks so much from grandma Katie in Oregon
Thanks Lori. God Bless you and your family
love your videos. You have a very calm and soothing voice and I like it. You are a great teacher and I love all of your videos. Thank you for your videos.
I can’t thank you enough for these recipes! I’ve been having so much fun making them and putting them in my new pantry that my brother in law just built for me. I live in California and believe me the seasoning packets are so expensive out here, and I hate spending over a dollar a packet, because I remember when they were only around 25 cents s packet. I use a lot of taco seasoning, and onion soup mix, and cream of chicken soup, so thank you so much. I plan to make the meatloaf seasoning, too. I’m so glad I found your channel, Miss Lori. You bless my soul!
Please make more videos on dry mixes. Thanks for making all the wonderful videos.
I hope you will show more homemade seasoning mixes. Did you make/dry your own onion flakes? I am a widow and so much of my food goes to waste because I can't use it up fast enough, and I don't like going to the grocery store every few days. I was wondering if I buy the parsley and onions if I could dehydrate and make my own? My only problem is I have no place to put the jars, have no pantry or cool dry place. So hot out here in the desert that can't put them in the laundry room. Oh how I wish I lived where you are!!!! So beautiful and yet so great for growing and preparing your own food! You are so blessed!!
That's a beautiful gift. That Lady is really talented. She loves you. You make us feel good. God bless.
I love how you measure, lol, reminds me of myself.
I really enjoy making different spices.
I would like more mixes like this. Thank you
Mrs.Lori I just love you and Mr Brown. I’m on a budget for Christmas and I’m going to give your dry mixes to everyone. It something everyone can use.
Thanks, Ms Lori. I was watching Gramma Rose and was jotting down her taco seasoning and then she mentioned it was Ms Lori's at Whipporwill Holler. 😊
Oh wow!
I swear to you I was just looking for little jars. I bought a can of safrin. I call it a lifetime supply considering I'm an old lady. Hahaha.I need a small container to keep it in as you only use a few threads at a time. I was looking for 2 oz size but was wanting a package that had a variety of jar sizes. I love this kind of video. Looking forward to the next one you do on mixes. I have a good supply of taco seasoning all ready made but I need to do the french onion soup one I use that stuff all the time in Mississippi Roast. Love that stuff. Woo hoo. Good stuff and so economical. Well Done Mrs. Lorie.
Penzey Spices sell little glass spice jars with screw-on caps, very nice and reusable!
I really am enjoying the different kinds of dry mixes yum. Got my list ready and excited to make them. Waiting on the spaghetti mix 🥰🙏🏻
Love being in your kitchen Miss Lori! Fun to make our own seasoning.
I love it! Love your kitchen too! It’s a true working kitchen. Everything made with care and love!💕💕

@@WhippoorwillHoller 🤗🤗🤗
Because of the unseasonable weather we have had there are wild green onions all over the yard! Thought I might go snip them off and dry them. Could make a hack of a chive! Ha! ha! They will be gone tomorrow! Down in the teens! Enjoyed the show! Love trying to get away from chemicals we can’t pronounce.
It's a good way to control the salt and all the other preservatives. You mush have known I needed taco seasoning. Lol! Thanks for the recipes.
Can't wait for the Greek one. Thanks so much for sharing.
I like the glass jars. Will search for them. This spring I am going to try grow some herbs. Wild garlic and onion too. I Like your taco seasoning recipe. What's good with homemade is you can adjust your flavorings as well as the sodium contents. I like a hint of cumin. Etc. Thanks. Oh I can't wait to learn about your other mixes....
all of your videos are great but You just keep getting better and better. Love everyone of them! I am wating on your first cookbook. Please put me in for the first one I will pay in advance. You have it down on cooking and life period. Love you both and you make my day . It's like going on a vacation watching you. A trip to the country. From Your friend and fan! I cant say enough good things! lol
Hi I'm new. I love your show and your voice is Soothing. Ladies love that back to basics and down home kitchen recipes. Thank you for sharing.
I use the fiesta mix in my Mexican rice.. it’s absolutely delicious 🤤 thanks 😊
I hope your feeling better. God's Blessings. My prayers are with you y your husband...
TACOS- one of our favs for sure!
Have watched this 2 times now. Your taco seasoning is my go-to now, and I have just made another double batch. I had run out and just grabbed an envelope when I was rushing through the grocery store for supper in a hurry. Oh my, was that ever disappointing! What used to taste good to us was just salt and color...non of the flavor we have gotten used to with your seasoning recipe. Had no idea there was that big a difference. If I haven't said it before, THANK YOU for sharing these time-saving, delicious recipes and all the tips you teach us!
hello from the Ozarks!1 i like the square Kerr jars from amazon because kerr has measuring units on its side of jar. mason don't have them. the square ones take less space in my campervan. thanks for sharing your time and knowledge of the spices
Oh Ms.Lori thank you for sharing what is in our mixes we buy. I am making my own.
You are a ROCK Star Miss Lori
Thank you so much, I'm an old rock star that's for sure! Lol
Xoxoxo
Fantastic.. I can't wait for you to show us more. After raising 3 boys who loved to eat, I can tell you those little seasoning packets, especially the taco and ranch are very expensive. Thank you so very much for all you share with all of us. Where were you when I was a young mother... of course computers were still a new concept back then....lol. It's just like learning how to make my own stock or finding the "Better-than-Bouillon", that alone has saved me a ton on not having to buy all those containers of Swanson broth or stock anymore. I have been showing my daughter-in-law's and granddaughters all I am learning in hopes of helping them save for better things.
Great idea. I use red pepper flakes in everything I cook. They really make baked beans taste sooo good. Thank you Lori.
Excellent video…I’ve grown my own herbs to use fresh , but want to dry them and also put your dry mixes in my own pantry!
Blessings,
Allison 🌼
Hi Mrs Lori, a good way to find jars just Google canning jars every shape and size jar is on there 😊
Ms.Lori, just wanted to let you know how much I love your channel and your videos!!! I look forward to seeing what you are doing each visit!!! I really miss the old and best ways. Thank God for you!! You and Mr.Brown are the best!!! God bless you both!! MUCH LOVE AND RESPECT ALWAYS!!! ❤🕊❤
I'm here in Australia and your videos have been so inspiring to me, I work away in my kitchen and listening to you is like having a friend in my kitchen, Thank you
Oh, Thank you! I would love to friends sitting and talking with me, xoxoxo
I made this for my daughter and her son said it was the best he had ever eaten!
When I was a kid in the early 80s my mom would get Winn-Dixie brand seasoning and gravy packets on sale 10 for a dollar. That was cheaper and easier than buying all the spices to make it yourself especially when you work full-time and have six kids. Also all they had back then was bullion cubes and you had to crush them into a powder. Now you can easily buy chicken and beef base powders and find spices on sale pretty inexpensively so I make up my own seasoning and gravy mixes. Thanks for your wonderful recipes.
Love making my homemade spices, and love watching you.
Thanks Lori awesome gifts and also for my pantry👍
Can't wait to hear the rest of the mixes
I love your shows and here I am again in the dark early morning listening and then saving the recipes.
Love that you shared this Ms Lori, homemade anything is always better, love and blessings

Love your taco seasoning recipe! The french onion soup mix looks wonderful too! Never heard of fiesta mix, but I am happy to find out about it now! Thank you.🥰
Simple and thrifty. Momma bought my sisters and I book called Make A Mix years ago... I need to haul that out and get busy! Thanks for the inspiration! As always continued blessings to you and yours. 💗🙏🏼💗
That's a great book!!
I have all of the original Make A Mix , More Make a Mix, the new Make a Mix and Everything but the Kitchen Sink. I love and use them all the time!
Nancy Sadewater do you make the meat and freezer mixes? I forgot I had the book until a few months ago when I came across it.
I love them, too! They can usually be found at Goodwill if anyone needs them. ❤️katie
Yes, love them.
I will use the chives because it will add color as well as flavor ! Thanks for the good recipes I use a lot of taco seasoning and onion soup mix.. Never made feiesta dip can't wait to try it.
I get a lot of those seasonings at dollar tree. And the little jars as well.
Ms. Laurie your videos are such a wonderful blessing to Our homestead.
Thank you, xoxoxo
I love to make these blends. Thanks, Lori!
Made Taco seasoning. Had to cut salt by half. But what a fantastic recipe!!! Thank-you!
Thank you for these recipes, I will be making them for my pantry.I would love to see more,I like having mixes for quick meals So much better than the packets! Love your videos!! God Bless You as well!!♥️🙏
Thank you Ms Lori! I’m going to make your taco and onion soup mixes.
Hi Lori !
I agree with you ...there are so many Spices and Seasoning mixes that have so many preservatives in them that you cannot even pronounce . If you cannot pronounce them or don't know what they are , I would say they are unhealthy for you . You can also mix dried herbs from you Garden and then go to places like Dollar Tree, Big Lots and Ollies and buy spices cheap. I bought some the other day that all they have in it is 2 ingredients , dried onion flakes , dill etc . I LOVE that Onion Soup Mix you made . And, i do have many Mason Jars ,even the tiny ones you showed .
Hope you are doing well and the bad weather isn't hitting you in your area. Its real windy here in southeastern Ohio and we are getting Rain ...but no Snow ( I am tickled pink ! ) ! God Bless you and Mr. Brown . PS That color blouse looks so pretty on you !
Love Love Love these!!!! Please post more!
They have those jars at Walmart in the canning section. I bought a bunch of them at Christmas and I love them for spices and herbs. Thanks for the recipes !
Love them too, I keep hoping they will go on sale, xoxoxo
@@WhippoorwillHoller Me too! I think they were almost 6 dollars for a 4 pack.
I love your videos. I am on a very low food budget and your videos help me make better tasting food.
It always helps to cut corners, and make sure with what you have, usually turns out the best food! Xoxoxo
Oh thank you! Wanted to do some taco casserole and read all the ingredients on one package had in the pantry..Said nope. Not even....wayyyy too much salt. Thank you for the recipes and all your great ideas! Many hugs to you Mz Lori and Mr. Brown! ❤️Hope you got the package! Finally snowing here and cold cold cold brrrbrrbrrr.
I got a package today! A herbal guide book, was that the package!
I love it, so I formative, Thank you
God Bless!
Nope that wasnt what I sent you...but cant tell you what it was, cause...its a surprise! LOL. Will holla at fedex tomorrow and ask them where it is! Stay warm and safe and so love your new stove! OH go to Menards if you have one near you and they have those small mason jars and the clip top ones also in small! Have a wonderful evening and rest well! ❤️
Just talked to UPS not fedex i get them mixed up..but they said package was delivered on the 16 th and showed it was picked up. PO Box1183 in Imboden correct? Just cking pray i sent to the correct address. 🤦♀️. Lordy, strokes can be interesting when the brain fizzels. LOL
Again, so hope you got the box!!! Will go ahead and tell you what the items were to be sure it was the correct box. Know you cherish the old ways and recipes...they are the small recipe books of my grandmothers from over 50 yrs ago and just so neat to read and some great ideas. Also noticed you like the Pioneer Woman pots an containers too...my hands so bad i cant hold slick breakable things anymore and sent you one of napkin holders. Those buggers are gorgeous and dangerous for me. LOL. Have the receipt from shipping if you need it let me know! Have a blessed day! ❤️
I just introduced your videos to my mom; she loves you two!
Awe, thank you,xoxoxo
I love everything on this channel.
Good evening, just wanted to let you know instead of unwrapping those little bullion cubes you can buy KNORRS brand already granules up. It’s a powder already. Beef or chicken. I usually go down the Hispanic aisle/Mexican aisle at the Walmart and they have huge containers of it. You can get the natural or the other kind they have. But they don’t have to come in just cubes it comes in huge containers. Bigger than the broth base seasoning. And it’s really good it’s great for using to make any kind of soup mixes. Especially when I make the Lipton onion soup mix they have the beef kind already done for you you just have to add the other seasonings. The knorr brand.
At the dollar tree I found small glass jars with handles. These are like spice jars. And fit in a tool box drawer I use as my island . Some have lids with holes and some don’t have holes in the lids. Might be small glass shaker jars for spices.
