Man, these people must have been supremely unimpressed with people complaining about lockdown LOL
The amount of anxiety that gives me is out the chart, everybody in just one place 😬
Just imagine there was a murderer
Well technically 2 places
And you feel alone
The future of Earth
Look up Hive Cities from Warhammer 40k
Ah..the ideal communist city. How much?
I lived in Whittier for a few months when I was 16 with my mom, I worked at the inn and still think this part of my adolescence was a fever dream. Going from Southern California to Whittier Alaska was the biggest culture shock.
Wow I can’t even imagine. Did u like it there ?
Talk about a one-stop shop. Like living on campus with everything so "conveniently" located. Would definitely survive in the Sweet Home universe.
Song Kangggg
1. what is the cost of living there?
2. how does the city sustain consistent income? is it through tourism and what else?
3. if nobody really dates then how do you find a significant other?
4. if most of the land is owned by the railroad, is there no pressure for any type of development to expand houses and bring a larger population if thats desired?
5. does the town have a mayor and what the heck are they doing to maintain sustainable population and income to the city?
Having everything in one building like that seems so convenient
Damn I love my home state, I remember going through the tunnel to get to the ferry dock. I was watching as my sister, with her car, left for college and seeing her take the ferry was surreal :) the drive from Anchorage was long but totally worth it.
Looks peaceful. I’d love to live here.
There are allot of peacefull places
does anyone know why you can’t buy your own property? i understand that she said that the railroad owns it, but that just seems very restrictive and almost illegal in a sense. like how is it legal to confine an entire community to one building?
The actress Kim Bassinger once bought a town in Georgia. It does not seem impossible
She said the Railroad owns the land already. So unless they are willing to sell it...live in the housing or move on to the next town.
stumbled very accidentally across your video. very enlightening. great job
I wonder what are their employment options or do they just commute
During peak season there’s a lot of jobs, but during off season the jobs are minimal :/
I’ve been there before, and it is home to one of the longest one way tunnels!
Bro just imagine if a collage students have this type of apartment???
I bet that bar is where it’s at
Damn, that's crazy.
Love Whittier! Lazy Otter Cafe hot chocolate is the best after a long day of fishing.
What do you love about it so much ?
An awesome tour 😁👍
this is the most beautiful city ever. hoping to visit again soon
That place is perfect for movie scene like when there's Alien Invasion or Zombie Apocalypse happen , that place is perfect for Hidden Civilization that is not affected or protected from those two
Can't help but to like it because I like the concept when you retire you go to small town something like that and spend the rest of your time there
When everyone knows your business. 😳🤔😬
Whittier is Beautiful!! I've been there before!
WOW A WHOLE TOWN IN ONE BUILDING!
I love this content, give me more weird video options.
Fascinating
The surroundings look beautiful.
THE WHOLE THING IS A TOWN AND CAMPUS TOGETHER!
Where you get marijuana from there ?
IT'S A ONE SHOP SHOP!
The winds will blow you away...
THAT'S ONE BIG BUILDING!!!!!!!!!!!
Also a Town where everyone uses nothing
That seems like a really remote place somewhere you don't want everyone to know about there are a lot of greedy people that will see this just putting that out there
why would anyone live there, it looks like hotel resort
Rent is probably like $15
I was there a few months ago!
Wasn't this video posted not long ago?
Before starting the video I showed my partner the picture and said “where do you think this is” had him guess a few before I said Whittier. I grew up in Kasilof AK but my dad lived in this building!
Beautiful place! But I’d be bored out of my mind
For real
How’s the dating pool?
i want to move there
You are to beautiful to be living in that small town
😂
So interesting
Peaceful looking...but dating for me there? Imagine the sit com just happening there. No....thank you very little...nope not me!!!
Bruh what do they do for work?! There's nothing there lol
Pronounced Whittier? That's my city XD
Same here
@@destinyeyoung0128 southern Cali? 😲
So this is where “The 100” got their plot from 🤔
Now, during the pandemic, how is it like? Maybe a lot more brutal.
Why she wanna live there
Glad I don't live there, because I don't get along with ppl
Fallout shelter
20 million subs but only 40k views? Don't add up.
i am old enough that you had to load your vehicle onto the train to go through the tunnel to get to town. kids these days have it too easy lol
Ahh you have it so easy complaining through the internet. I expect you to remove your comment and send it to each of us by snail mail. SMH
LOL that sounds like a time! But glad they figured out who to drive through because I would never go to town with that system 😂
why r u into kids struggling weirdo
This video is done already in a different channel lol
Love thy neighbor, I guess
She basically gave a non-answer to the "how did you get there" question. Like, honey, we know your parents took you there but WHY did they and that is the real question. If you want to move to a place like that by all means do it if you have no kids or are retired. But to put your kid/s in an isolated environment like that just because its the lifestyle you want is just cruel.
And I wanted to live in a mud hut in Asia! Probably really expensive in Whittier though! Back to my mud hut!
@A H I can. I don't have FB, IG or Tik Tok. I just watch videos. Also I will be too busy swatting mosquitoes!
Location ??

More specifically, Whittier, Alaska.
