Laliya are James Maguire and Melissa Howlett-Maguire. Their current home is Australia.
Laliya is an instrumental hybrid of new acoustic and subtle world fusion, creating an atmospheric soundscape enhanced through the use of a technique known as 'two hand tapping' on the dulcimer combined with rhythmic and percussive beats.
A truly unique, and transcendent auditory experience.
James and Melissa have been performing together internationally for the last ten years.

I saw these guys in Perth in 2007, It was the first time I've ever stopped to listen to musicians in the street. I was spellbound, and was standing there until they started to pack up. You guys are AMAZING x

Love Laliya. I first heard them in the Perth Hay St Mall, drawn to their music like a moth to a flame. So beautiful, so enriching, so talented. If anyone gets a chance to hear them live, DO IT!!

The time I saw this video, tears fell off my eyes. This was called love. For all the time spent on the road with my back pack, reminded me the prairies and the Rockies. Awesome music.

Echoes used to play these two all of the time. Incredible music, indeed. Beautifully haunting harmonies, almost like a world-music version of Iron Maiden.
I like this video sunshinewings. I also love this cool music. Wonder if they ever come to the USA and Dallas TX area. Glad I stumbled on thier music. Love the uniqueness and pure essence of their music.
