@peeweecee Then from here you do not need the VCR to be on unless your planning on to record anything. The signal will just pass though the VCR when its off on most models. Then use the DTA box to change your channels with while keeping the VCR and TV set to channel 3. Now you can enjoy the best possible signal. I highly recommend you do buy a new TV instead if you are still using a CRT based TV. You can still use your VCR on the new LCD/Plasma tv's.
@peeweecee To get this to work with a VCR is by plugging in the cable that comes from the wall/foor to the input side of the DTA box. Then from there you connect the coaxial output from the DTA to the VCR's cable input. Then connect the VCR out to TV to your TV. Then put your TV on channel 3 and make sure your VCR is set to output to channel 3 usually small switch in the back. Then set your VCR channel to 3. Now you can record your TV shows with the VCR and VCR does not need to be on.

One thing that is never mentioned is the RF audio out is NOT in stereo. An RF modulator with stereo out over 3/4 channel would cost alot of money.
