This video wasnt about Napoleon
O hohoho*
Died from "a severe nosebleed"?
Doesn't smell right.
I have a feeling Charlemagne or their mother might've had something to do with it. I scoffed at the sound of "severe nosebleed"
Was that a pun? Also if you have a severe nosebleed you can die from massive blood loss. But in the modern day almost no one dies from nosebleeds. Could be that someone caused the severe nosebleed, by either punching or bludgeoning him.
Could be. 🤔 But i think that poison was used and he died bc he suffocated in his own blood. Its not all bleeding OUT of the nose. 🤔🤔
After charlemagne punched him in the nose maybe...like really hard
he could have been a bleeder - this was common in noble families if there was heavy inbreeding. Some guy I once knew fell on his face and his nose kept bleeding until he fainted due to the heavy blood loss - there was so much blood!
0:03 well they both hilariously failed to invade Russia?
Oh.. wrong answer
mongols entered the chat
And both lacked a tescticle
@@omegraptorch3624 😂😂😂
Technically Napoleon did successfully invade Russia (He took Moscow)
Charlemagne's life was certainly a turning point in European history.
Fair to call him the father of Europe
Fun fact : Christopher lee was a direct descendent of charlemagne.
who's that
So are millions of other people including me
Lingiste me too
How many descendants of charlemagne are there.
Most of Europe is.
teacher: always be inspiring
*charlemagne: this is big brain time*
You again
French and Germans watching this video: “how dare you insult our father !”
I see Charlemagne as an absolute win
Charlemagne = Carolus Magnus *("Charles The Great")*

The Infographics regular and uploading a lot helps greatly . . .
_THANKS GUYS KEEP IT UP IF POSSIBLE UPLOAD MORE OFTEN_
Thank you for making vids about history I love these
I think you need to check your definition of a tyrant
Evil is relative. But yeah.
Well he was a tyrant in these time Standards he beheaded 4500 Saxon man woman children even baby's in order to force them into Christianity
he also probbebly poisened his brother so thats Sounds pretty like a Tyrant.
Tyrant: cruel and/or oppressive ruler.
I'd say forcing people to convert on the pain of death is oppressive and cruel.
Napoleon was not a tyrant by early 1800 standard
He was an authoritarianist leader. At the time this was the norm. Only Britian, USA and a few minor nation could even be described as egalitarian and some nations(such as the HRE)were still using feudalism
He did indeed slaughter many outside of military actions. Most due to religious differences. But also remember the Spanish Inquisition did far worse less than a century ago. Slavery was the norm outside of Britain and Portugal at the time
He was also not a warmongerer, only declaring three wars(on Spain, the HRE, and Russia)compared to the seven coalitions declared on him
~2.7% of cases or other wise 3-5000 executions occured in a three century long spanish inquisition so try again.
*I just love the way they simplify complex concepts for general people to understand. This channel is a great source of motivation for me. I hope I reach their level one day.*
I've been fascinated by Charlemagne ever since I learned about him (I think in a college history class maybe 15ish years ago). It's kind of funny - it sounds like he might have looked kind of like Robert Baratheon from Game of Thrones and it sure sounds like they acted alike and loved fighting. I wonder if he was based on Charlemagne or something... It's almost like a lot of modern historic medieval fantasy type stories are loosely based on him. And lately I've been extremely fascinated with the fall of the Western Roman Empire so it all kind of ties together. Obviously, I'm not an expert and there's always more to learn but it's just an interesting transition from the Roman Empire to the Western and Eastern Roman Empire through to "barbarians" taking control of what was left of the Western Roman Empire to Charlemagne, his ancestors and the foundations of modern-ish Europe and the Holy Roman Empire. When I was a kid, I just knew kind of standalone stories of individual empires but not how one transitioned to another and that's one of the most fascinating things in history to me - how one empire falls and another one rises. One last thing I find kind of ironic is: as long as the Western Roman Empire existed they were fighting with the Gauls, Germanic Tribes and etc "barbarians" and when the Western Roman Empire finally died and these "barbarians" inherited it's ashes and they finally started to settle down and form stable kingdoms, then _they_ started having problems with the Vikings then a large portion of the Vikings were settled as Normans. I know it's a vast oversimplification but it's just an interesting cycle.
Blalack77 same here. Have been really interested in medieval history these last months.
From the Roman empire to the split and creation of Byzantium. The Ottoman rule that took over. Its like you said , in my head these were always seperate moments in history. Didnt know they were so closely alligned.
Cool to see someone else interested at the same time I did.
Did you watch Vikings? It covers a nice amount of the history and time period with lots of mentions of the historical figures.
marouane tahri vikings is the most inaccurate show.
Blalack77 you sir are a man of culture 🎩 🥂 👌👌👌👏🏽
You guys should watch Ottoman rise of an empire on Netflix. You guys will love it.
Baratheon might actually be based on King Henry VIII, but Charlemagne does show similarities
... Infographics show recently posted a video about, "Chances of You Getting COVID-19", and, I left a comment that said, "UA-cam: Demonitized", and then my phone shut down and then when, I turned it back it on, it said, the video was private. Because, I had it in my watch later before my phone shut down.
anything not state sanctioned about is censored, information control is paramount at a time of the greatest roberry in human history
Covert 19 has 88 all over it! This is what the jews felt like before 11/9. 911🤔. All our presidents, and global elite are related to Charlemagne.🤘
Napoleon is not a bloodthirsty man, he is not a mean man, he is simply nervous, in a hurry, angry, but that is all. When you see his work, you realize that he is a very thoughtful man. See the Civil Code, see the battle of Austerlitz, which is admirably prepared, it is one of the most beautiful battles in the history of France. Napoleon goes fast, he doesn't waste time, always in a hurry, but despite everything, as he says, when there is a problem of strategy, he is tormented until the moment when he makes his decision. If he is a man in a hurry, he is not a mean man, he is not a tyrant in the manner of Stalin for example. He knows that Fouché (1759-1820) negotiates behind his back, he knows that Talleyrand (1754-1838) betrays him, without having, of course, appreciated its importance, but, if he makes a scene for everyone, its stop there. Therefore , It's not a bloodthirsty man.
True or untrue the video isnt about Napoleon
Just wanted to clarify the introduction
Facts
True
Who else is watching this because they have nothing to do?
Woah this isn’t a prison or a virus video I’m suprised 😏

@@benisrood I mean inforgraph usually feel kinda biased to me cuz they start intro by saying napoleon was bloodthirsty but man was probably the most bullied man in existence. Imagine 4 countries waging war on you. No I don't mean France I mean specifically you as an individual. Lol.
I love this new graphical style.
The old one was beginning to get on my nerves.

Always wanted to go to Aachen because of Charlemagne
Charlemagne is one of my ancestors ❤️😊
Charlemagne is the ancestor of everyone with european ancestry.
You can literally say it to anyone in europe(and to people with european ancestry), from portugal to russia
Fun Fact: Charlemagne is actually on the road to sainthood, as he has been beatified.
That was centuries ago and isn't seen as legitimate in the eyes of the Catholic church. It was only done to gain favour of the Holy Roman Emperor at the time.
You have to feel sorry for the Saxons. First they were slaughtered and driven from their homes to England. Then they were again slaughtered by Normans/Norweigians (William the Conqueror and Harold Hardrada) in their new home with the Angles (hence Anglo-Saxon).
They invaded England? Driven by who?
history such beautiful times yet a bad times as well but it's amazing what you learn
I love you vids
why did they delete ur video

Shut up
Why did you privated the latest video about covid-19?
"The Holy Roman Empire" had epsoludly nothing to do with Charlemange his empire was split in 3 after his sons death bud in the 10th century there would be a guy of saxon desent that made the real "Holy Roman Empire"
Nah, it came out of successor states to his empire and the whole notion of a revived western Roman Emperor that birthed HRE was to ride on Charlemagne's coat tails.
@British Tea the HRE was founded in 962 by Otto the great who was also duke of Saxony and was from Saxon descent.
@British Tea not really the frankish empire was cut into 3 parts (west, centre and east) after the death of the son of Charlemagne. Then those parts fractured even more. Eventually what remained of east Francia came under Otto who then expended it and claimed he was the succesor of the Frankish empire.
Otto the great was a direct descendant of Charles the great
@@rayzas4885 Otto the great was a member of the Ottonian dynasty a line of dukes of Saxony likely started by a Carolinian officer (so not a member of that family).
Very cool
please can you make a video about what will happen if there is a war in space

FYI, Infographics Show, blunder alert: "After four months of siege" in the spoken version, but the closed captions record, "After _ten_ months of siege". You may need to fix this!
Can you talk about what happened to the 43 ayotzinapa students in Mexico
He is now a radio host
Liked the video, but there was no St. Peters Cathedral in this time, it was bulit six centuries later. In the 800s there was the old St. Peters Cathedral, which looked quite different.
Charlemagne sounds like he looked like me and my dad.
5:31 That soldier sword appears to be partially invisible
The sudden realization that Charlemagne is still honoured in certain things and concepts in the *EU*
He’s seen as the fishnet if the two largest nations in the EU, that being France and Germany, so of course.
There's a thing called Charlemagne Prize that is annually awarded for work done for the European Unification
I mean, yes. He is the reason western Europe has an unified identity. France, Germany and Italy are all descendants of Charlemagne.
My Favourite Channel On UA-cam.
