Beautiful work, returning to the roots of learning. Today we have difficulty finding professionals who know manual tracing. We are very dependent on engineering software. Congratulations on the video.👍
I like your ideas they're not a waste of time especially for steel off-grid working like in regional Australia. Shops with machines can still mess up your steel order, so if you want something done you have to do it yourself. Thanks Mr Technic
After saying I would like to learn to weld for way too long, I am starting classes in May. You give me something to aspire to. There are some that proclaim this to be a waste of time. While I do believe in function over form, I personally prefer to have both whenever possible. And anyone that doesn’t have the desire to increase their skill level isn’t anyone I would want to hire.
As a former welder this reminds me of welding school back in 1977. I still do weld a bit in my garage. However today I'm crippled enough to made it dangerous . I just use the welds heat to hammer everything together so I can weld everything quick . I also have a cheap inner core welder . 110 vt. Anyway it's nice to see an expert fabricator's work . We used Trig for matching up pipe bends . Good stuff watching this.
I appreciate the time and effort you put into this. These are really neat tricks for visually appealing connections. I imagine applications in garden furniture or other decorative work. Thanks for sharing 👍
Ya anything aesthetic or art! Very cool and has me brainstorming some ideas. Like he said it is for casual welders. I don't think I can go to my supervisor back in the shop and say let's do this instead when we have huge machines that do all that but faster.
I imagine vehicle roll cages, suspension parts, custom car and bike work and on and on and on. Great tips mate. Our imaginations are limitless it seems.
@@dbear503 i wouldn't recommend most of these joints for hi strength applications. There's a reason wert you don't see them on expensive bikes or such. They don't make for the most stability which the material can provide. Yet they have their application where weight isn't much of an issue and you can oversize as you will, for the benefits of visually appealing craftsmanship. Furniture, as an example.
Very nicely done, this is aesthetically beauty full for making unique designs. Don't look at the haters.... These are just men who want functional en cheap. It also has its place, just like your technique has his place. Love it
Its specifically about esthetics and erasing seams in certain areas. You could just slap 2 square tube 90degrees beside eachother but then your dealimg with openings and other visuals a customer may not want. Its a bit of extra work for a much higher esthetic appeal and thats what makes high end fab componies respected over others.
I doubt i will remember where to find this video again when the time comes I need one of these joints. but they do make for a good clean and strong weld. Color me impressed!
Thanks man, this cutting bending steel really a test how skill welder are.I grow up in the welding shop my father is very welder and I see most of this metal bending style.good job to share and thanks to refresh my memory
Very cool techniques! A bit of info for new welders: do not weld galvanized steel, which is what's shown in this video. The zinc fumes are toxic and the damage is cumulative over time. You need a full respirator to weld zinc, otherwise stick to plain steel.
Thank YOU very much for simplifying what to many is so extremely hard. I’m one of a huge number that can only learn this way. Hugs brother, thanks again. ❤
Nice work. Very informative. I like doing specific projects and by watching this my accuracy will be much much better. This isn’t some old rig hack welding. This is true steel works. Very very nice.
Not every project will use all these approaches but this is a wealth of knowledge to have for future projects to make them better. Thanks
Thank you..
Gosto de ver estes profissionais fazerem estes tipos de trabalho.

These are literally wastes of time unless you are doing non structural art pieces.
I really like the effort you put in to show HOW it's really done if you want to be a pro.
I'm a blacksmith and machinist btw.. :)
My friend, you are the best! Receive my thanks for your valuable teachings and a sincere hug from this humble apprentice, from Brazil.
You are very welcome

Unbelievable Metal Forming. Never Seen Before. Excellent.

You are a legend mate superb
Thank you for using Metric! Way too many building channels use imperial and i have to google every measurement to get a feel for how big something is.
This vid is more about Arts, Esthetics and Geometry than it is Fab Shop practicality. Keeping that in mind, its beatiful stuff 👌👌

They are the ONLY ones who should know this. Who thinks of these titles?
Doesn't that also mean that the welding rigs should not be storebought?
I love the use of basic geometry to create beautiful work.
One of the useful skills that everyone should know about it ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Perfection often comes from a little extra thought. Time to finish with a little TIG. Nice music too!
