I heard about this and read about it via articles and Greil Marcus' book about Dylan and The Band's Basement Tapes "Invisible Republic". I finally got the CD box set of this anthology and it is everything as advertised: Amazing and astute, a great collection of authentic American music recordings from the late 20's and early 30's. Definitely worth checking out by any means necessary!
