lip balm on watery clay. relationships hey hey hey
Bless you for taking the time to do this.
52:05 "Give It A Day" is, without a doubt, Pavement's best non-album track. And, this entite setlist and performance is pure fire and brilliance.
@@mikefinney423 their second best non album track I think you mean! Number 1 will always be mussle rock!!
eilieson
From where the fuck does SM get so many killer tunes? I love the bloke, I just love him. And his music still went on being brilliant into the next century. He is a Rock GOD
Goddaamnn this has to be one of their best live performances on yt. Especially the sound quality
by far 😁
track list is great too
Even without the harmonica: 11:30-12:40, so precious, so perfect, so mellow.
holy COW, the audio sounds amazing! and so does the performance. In the other complete shows I've seen from that period sounded, like the 2 on the Slow Century DVD, the band seemed kind of lifeless to me, but not here!!!
shady lane is possibly my favorite song ever
Rattled by the rush perfection!
No soap in the John!
Fantastic song
the insane applause between Stop Breathing and Range Life really shows the love
hard to believe Pavement's last pre-reunion show was 4 days later. They seem to be having fun still.
Right? In this show they seem alright but apparently in their last show it was just sad.
This version of Spit on A Stranger is incredible.
best live performance I ever seen of Cream of Gold too
Give it a Day is probably my favorite Pavement tune. Amazing song to hear love too
I wish I wasn't 9 years old when this was happening... and could have made it to one of these performances
That's how I feel about Jimi Hendrix. I was merely 6 when he died.
Wish I wasn't three
Saw them on this tour at the Brixton Academy in London.... sorry you missed it.
+Matthew Timber I couldn't begin to describe how good Pavement gigs were. I saw every tour, several times and in different countries too. On the other hand I'm proper old and you're young. ;-)
+Matthew Timber I'm 2 years old right now, imagine how i feel!
Admittedly I haven't heard every recording of every Pavement gig but this is the first one I've heard where they sound like they actually give a shit! And I love it !
My favorite band. So glad I got to see them in 2010. They played near me on this 1999 tour and I somehow missed it.
Same here I was 14 years old when I heard pavement for the first time in 2009 and was immediately obsessed so it was amazing they reunited the next year lol I caught the Columbus show and it’s still the best I’ve ever been to.
wow just wow many many thanks from a fellow uva alum in the 90s waoo pavement keeping it rel still and still gracias - SJOCR
Great sound. Crystalline
That's easily the best live version of Rattled by the Rush i've heard.
Love this insane version of Stereo!
You wouldn't think they were just 4 days away from their last ever show until their reunion era. They're at their peak here. Astonishing.
1:23:25 I really adore how Stephen sings the last part of 'Fight this Generation' it sounds like a virtous singer though he might not be, just improvising
They sound amazing.
There is nothing like 1999 Pavement
Such a good show.
This video has made my day, what a fantastic set!
Also mine! :)
So this is just 4 days before their final show and a couple of weeks before breaking up…. Left us at peak performance
The audio is amazing. What a band! I’m glad someone recorded this show 🥲
This Hexx is epic!
+Bored Now Totally.
Just a few days before I saw that famous Brixton show of theirs. This is great, just so groovy, manic, and playful, vintege set.
I will be seeing them in a few months here in Brasil, how I wish they would play Cream of Gold. They probably won't but I'll cry like a baby if it happens
The sound is almost perfect, thank you so much!
The Hexx and Debris Slide were so frickin good; wish I could have seen them live back in the 90s.
i think i would die if i was there and they started playing range life
So ridiculously good. Thanks a million for uploading.
Unpopular opinion: Terror Twilight is the best Pavement album
I second, third, fourth, and fifth this
Taylor Peck Crooked Rain for me, but Terror Twilight is damn good and very underrated.
@tattoofthesun I was disappointed in Wowee Zowee at first. I guess it wasn't Crooked Rain. Slowly I started to hear how great it is.
Terror twighlight is deffenitly the smoothest and nicest one the most cohesive one.
It is my favorite. Not sure it is “the best”, but you know, how to measure these things??
One of the greats enjoy!
superb. thank you.
I always wish that they would play that psychedelic outdo whenever they do shady lane live. Still amazing
little late here, but look up their performance from the westbeth in '97 here on youtube. great pro-shot, full show. they do the "j vs. s" instrumental after shady. great version imo
quite possibly the best band of the 19nineties....
Thanks for posting. This sounds FABULOUS! Great Set! I grew up musically thru college with the pavement ist rad
Ah la la pavement love you so much and even more😍😍
Give it a Day!
l love it ❤
Wonderful.
Thank you for the FLAC!
THANK YOU! This is incredibly good.
Raaaange life!
+The Zells Settle down!
Im so glad i saw them on their last farewell Tour through Europe, it was in a Circus tent, outside temperature about 35° Celsius, inside the tent about 40° , and Malkmus went onstage in a Polar Jacket lol... nuff said
lol :) I've seen them on this tour too..in Bologna,Italy.

Omg OMG OMG your right! CRANK IT UP! It sounds better when louder!
this is awesome! thank you for posting!
I was there! Their best show in NL I think! Thanks for sharing!
what is the name of the club they are playing in?
Seems like only yesterday I saw this excellent Pavement show in my hometown venue! What a vibe that night... one of those concerts I've always remembered.
Has it really been 15 years already?
le born in the right decade bragging man
melamino7 What do you mean? Don't get it, sorry. What do you mean with 'le' for instance?
Great sound
Thank you.
Great audio!
thanks for posting! i love this show.... they're having so much fun and celebrate it with the audience... think they went to the coffee-shops right before ;-))
Gold sounds recovered nicely from the break where the drummer loses the beat! Nice! This is a really good show. Everyone in great spirits and playing very well. I could do without the shaker in gold sounds and some of the floor tom shit in In the Mouth A Desert, but, you know, it's PAVEMENT!!! Can't wait for Barcelona and Porto! I just hope it doesn't get COVID-19-ed!
I wouldn't hold ur breath for primavera happening sadly :/
@@WallyBrando Not last year.... BUT THIS YEAR!!!
@@heftymoreganic4158 see ya there 🍾
@@WallyBrando fuck yeah you will, I'll be the sunburnt Brit losing his shit at pavement
You kiss like a rock, but you know I need it anyway.
Always loved that line!
omg thank you! sounds great!
Love, love, love this! is there any way to get the .FLAC again? It was no longer on the website you mentioned. Thank you for the upload 💌
Awesome! I am downloading it as we speak. You rule!
great job in all respects
great soundwork man, sounds pretty live!
Date With Ikea... wow, and the whole show, I mean, they act like they don't give a **** They know it's gonna be over soon, and it's still brilliant
we went DUTCH DUTCH DUTCH
Thank you for uploading this! Great sound quality by the way.
Prachtig.
Sicherlich
Terror Twilight, what a record. Maybe the problem, the reason it doesn't stand out like the others, is that it's trying to have a "perfect" sound and Pavement needs some sloppiness, some noise. Not that that's a problem, really, but it may take some time to fully appreciate.
A couple of songs I never liked that much, but I didn't dislike, I now realize are great songs. Namely Billie and Folk Jam. There are some stupendous live versions of these, including here.
That record is the matched prelude to SM's first solo record. It wasn't as much Pavement by then. Still a great record no matter how you slice it up.
@@MixwellHouseAV - Been relistening to Pavement and SM solo stuff recently, and you hit the nail: Terror Twilight sounds more like SM's solo material vs. Pavement's other albums.
I tried Pavement in the past but only got into a handful of songs. For me it seems like the harder to digest at first equals the more rewarding listening experience ultimately. Same deal with Sonic Youth, who are ok my Mt Rushmore also
"This one's a real pogo number" *plays Major Leagues* lmao
tf does that mean
@@jakepaulfan1910 pogo is a sort of dance that was typical in fast paced intense music where you jump on beat
This rules.
"Gold Sounds" at around 39 minute mark, so good.
Ann don't ya cry
I think if/when we make it through 2020 pavement should get back together with this kinda spirit and do a WORLDWIDE tour! It would for sure heal a lot of broken souls. Especially cause their hypnotic sounds take a lot of people back to the good days, back when things were simple. We could all use a taste of that RAAAAAANGE LIIFE
I would honestly love it if they added some more TT songs into the setlists for their 2021/2022 tour(s), if only to commemorate the upcoming reissue. I know most of the band except for Spiral seem to not care for the album much but it's one of my favourites and I'd love to see how well the songs hold up live these days. I'd kill to see them play The Hexx the way it was arranged on TT (the performance on Reverb!), and other songs that were beautiful in this concert like Ann Don't Cry and Billie...
Chaos perfected.
Name check URBAN DANCE SQUAD! Fantastic!
Damn just mist it, born jan 2000

thank you for the timestamps that helped everyone else find the song they wanted to hear before the timestamps actually worked u-u
Ace of Spades with Bob singing would be the shit.
Bob is Elmo in a skin suit. Finally figured it out.
al fin puedo apreciar bien la guitarra de scott
I don’t think my Siri is happy. He has another name and a much better accent. I am quite enjoying this.
great Date With Ikea
While I am at it, I have to point out the fantastic solo in Folk Jam at 56:30. So much better than the record even as Bob sabotages it.
Malkmus nails it on the geetar on the Hexx
Hua Hsu, genius.
31:00-33:30 is all i have to say (well I guess I have a few other things to say, too)
Was this the show where half the band were on ecstasy?
when you watch this that feeling of awe comes over you - that there's really no point in playing music when you know that Pavement is out there.
But then you watch a little more, and decide to do it the same but better...
I find the drum fill at 53:56 pretty funny
What a goofy show. So good.
why does spiral stairs say sorry after date with ikea?
What was the last verse of Range Life? I can't make it out
True story. Back in college, someone stole my Pavement CD’s. I was really pissed off for a while. Thinking back, whoever stole them has great taste and definitely paid for them somewhere along this thing we call “LIFE” Karma’s a bitch...
buena tio
