There’s something so pure about these late 2000s Mother tributes. I wish life could be this simple again.

The cold night felt just right for Ninten as he walked up to the cliffside, Ana and Loid soon stood by his side, enjoying the crisp wind with their friend, hand in hand. They all were awed at the array if stars. Teddy walked up and stood next to them. Content with..whatever he does.
The sound of grass sounded in Ninten's ears. "Hm?" He turned around and saw Ness, "Oh! Hey! You look just like me.." The older boy chuckled. "Well..You do, too! Identity thief!" He was playful, and they both ended up laughing.
They all soon noticed that Ness wasn't alone, he brought his companions. Paula, Jeff, and Prince Poo. Paula and Ana clicked immediately. Loid and Jeff chatted about science stuff. Teddy and Poo talked about their home, and Ness and Ninten tried to piece together their similarities.
Ninten heard the sound of someone, whimpering to themselves. "Ness, I think theirs a kid over there..." Ness followed him to the little cave and indeed there was a small kid in there. Ness and Ninten talked to him, telling him that he should come out. Ness reached out his hand, waiting patiently for him to take it. He felt something grab it, and he pulled the boy to his feet. It was a blonde kid, a boy named Lucas.
"There ya go!"
"Oh! C'mon!" Ninten grabbed his shoulder and they both lead the boy to their friends. Soon, Lucas's friends and father came. Kumatora, Duster, Boney and Flint. They all happily gazed at the galaxies above. Lucas affectionately scratched Boney's head and held Ness's hand.
He heard a snicker as somebody grabbed his shoulder. "I haven't been replaced so easily, have I?" It was so familiar. He was twisted around and he saw his own face...His brother, Claus.
Hand in Hand, Ness, Ninten,Lucas and Claus all looked at the stars. Lucas was crying, that his brother was here, and happy.
Next to the moon, a small alien child held his mother's hands, they danced to a lullaby. "Take a melody, Simple as can be, Give it some words and Sweet harmony...Raise your voices, all day long now, love grows strong now, sing a melody of Love..Oh, love.." They both disappeared, happy and loved.

Can I just imagine Porky (like how he looks at the start of Earthbound) being pretty near them seeing them but no-one notices him and he just watches them while crying quietly and when they start singing 8 melodies he walks behind Ness, grabs his shoulder and sings the 8 melodies with them without letting any sound at all, and when everyone else notices him nobody is mean to him and just smiles and Porky isn't mean to anyone either since they didn't do anything to him and accepted him. :) (sorry for the English)

@@sheppyuwu9906 A possible reason he acted the way he did was because he was still under Giygas' influence, and if that wasn't true then after seeing what he had done he had probably decided it was too late to turn back and continued doing horrible things.
I hope that happens....I'm still in the ASC...Rethinking what I did....

Exactly. Exactly how it should happen. Finally, someone who understands. Pokey had no friends, Ness betrayed him on the playground (Novel), had a horrible family cause of abusive parents, Giygas hypnosis on him, Lucas and Ness were both silent when he asks them both to be friends. Porky is one of the most sad characters in game history.

2:52 Would this be a great end to any of the Mother games? Where it's a music box, playing this song, with a picture of the four friends (Mother 1, 2, or 3). And then at the very end the main character closes it gently. Wouldn't that just... *sniff* Dang it onion-cutting ninjas!
I wish I had friends who were Mother fans, then I could share the love of the franchise with them. Instead they only play team fortress 2 or skyrim ( don't get me wrong those are great games)

I need to thank 3 people, Shigisato Itoi, Maria, and George. I thank Itoi for making a RPG that was about a young Boy growing up and having quirky dialogue that made it even better. And I thank Maria and George for taking Gigue in because if they didn't, none of Mother would of happen.
Fuck George, if he hadn't stolen Gyiyg's technology, the lives of Porky and Lucas' family wouldn't have been ruined

It's... it's... very, very rare for a video on UA-cam to bring tears to my eyes. This video has managed to do it... I don't know what to say, really... to get across my gratitude towards the creator for bringing smiles and tears to me, other than... thank you.

Two people were abducted to raise an alien baby. That is what caused ALL of this. Because Giygas was raised by a pair of humans instead of by his own kind everything in the Mother games happened. His "father" escaped and spread knowledge of PSI power to humanity. As a result a prophecy was created saying a human boy would kill him. So he attacked earth BEFORE that boy could be born. Upon being reminded of the love his "mother" showed him he had a mental breakdown and fled. Because of that breakdown he slowly devolved into a being of pure insanity. As a result he simply stopped "being" and became insanity and madness. He attacked earth in his new state, however the prophecy eventually held true and he was destroyed...but not before corrupting Porky. Which led to Porky creating a time machine and f*cking the world up in Mother 3.
Also, It is theorized that Ness's Father is actually Ninten, and that Lucas is a descendant of his. So if you think about it, the entire series is about cleaning up the mess that George, Ninten's Great-Grandfather, made. It also explains how each of the protagonists know PSI, and how they all get the Franklin Badge.
***** Mother 3 takes place hundred of years after Earthbound, so that isn't possible.

You just captured what the mother series itself is -emotion, from the beutiful music to the -cry- your- eyes- out storylines to the memorable characters you captured it. My favorite part was when Ness and Ninten led Lucas out of the cave and how all of the characters interacted with each other. Most emotional mother video ever nuff said

holy fuck i remember this when i was 6 on the wii u gamepad and would watch chuggaaconroys lets plays of mother 1 and 3 and never being able to play them because i didn't have a computer and screaming running around the house when i seen the trailer for earthbound beginnings on virtual console good times ;)

I good tribute, to one of Saturu Iwata's greatest games. Nintendo needs to make an Official Mother 4 about Claus or at least Mother 1+2+3 for Wii U and 3DS.
Itoi, who came up with Mother, said that he has no plans to continue the series, but there is a Mother 4 fan game in development, and it looks great.

Weaknesses for ninten ness and lucas: ninten has asthma, ness is tecnacally fat(which makes him so slow) and lucas is a wimp and a cry baby.( I also forgot to mention that ness gets homesick)

Lucas loses most of his wimpy traits. (He's practically a teddy who uses psi.)
Ninten is the strongest character of the bunch. Not in terms of offensive power, but in sheer force of will and what he overcame. The end of Mother 1 is hell. Neither of the other two would have survived.
Out of all of the video game series created, this one stands out. It tells of adventure, romance, heartbreaking cutscenes, and when you hear Mother's melody song, you can't help but cry.

Mother 3 had the most depressing story, but is one of my all time favorite RPGs. Loved this video T^T.
It's just so incredible how much emotion these games can convey, nothing we have today can compare to them. Nobody cried at the end of Call of Duty or Starcraft, but even today, this game evokes so many feelings for the characters that give them such incredible personality. You actually find yourself cheering for them, or in some cases, praying for them, along with the rest of the game's cast.
The MOTHER series will always remain one of the best, if not THE best, game series ever devised.

I had a dream last night, and I haven't had one in weeks.
I remember myself playing a scene where Ness was at a train station with the Eight Melodies theme playing in the background. As I watched the scene, my lip started to tremble, and, eventually, a single tear rolled down the left side of my face. I immediately woke up, realizing the scene was a dream. But, when I touched my left check, it felt damp.
I have never cried at a videogame before this. I am a fan of the Mother series as a result.
Oh god. I was reading the comments, and reading about how Lucas’ face near the end was tear-jerking. I kept that in mind, thinking if I was aware of that beforehand, I could avoid breaking down.
