I used to work with a guy that was in the audience for that broadcast. I remember him telling me that he had tickets. And I'm not sure but i think i saw his mannerisms behind the band at the start. He said that that was where they were during the recording. That's proper rock'n'roll isn't it? Great stuff.
i wish this song was longer. i don't know what could be added to it. but, the mood of the track is awesome and then just seems to get cut short.
In that sense at least it will never get old!

I love the punk influences they have in some songs.
The studio version of this is much more punkish though.
This is the kinda music that needs to be heard on a fucking huge stage!
Who cares if they're sound is 'late', or it's not hugely original and legendary bands have done something before. That's how a genre is formed! Somebody has to start it, and somebody has to continue it and stop it from dying. It's been a long time since music has been original - everything is influenced from something.
The main thing is whether they're doing it well or not. And I for one, think they're doing a banging job of it!

I'm completely agree with you. Now days there has to be always something new and still people forgot that usually the old sound is the best. For example Airbourne's sound isn't very original but I love their sound like hell and their songs kick ass!

I know they aren't particularly original (who is these days) and I hate the music press constantly trying to hype up bands as the next big thing, this band will change music forever etc etc...but despite all that, I can't help liking this song.

Well said!!! i can hear 50's rock n roll and The Jam plus many other influences in the Vaccines sound, good groups take what their in to then try and make their own sound. We need groups like the Vaccines more than ever with it being pretty much wall to wall horse shit in the top 40.
