Said during the golf video that I couldn't wait for this. I didn't disappoint at all. As a former goal keeper myself, quite make the top levels, I can empathise with having to punch vs catching. I am old school as well and if I could get both hands on the ball, whether fro a cross or shot, I would always catch it. Even one handed on the odd occasion. The way I look at it punching the ball out would invariably give the ball back the the opposition, and you;re still under pressure. I can't understand, for the life of me, why foreign coaches prefer you to punch.
On another note I was at the game that Chris had, unfortunately for him, conceded 9 against Spurs. Poor bloke didn't stand a hope with Wigan's defending, and Jermaine Defoe's finishing that day.

The best yet, interview and golf.
Only saw him once at Upton Park. The warm up with Dudek was unbelievable. Must have lasted 30minutes and they never touched a ball. They were like two gymnasts.. Awesome. In the meantime our keeper David James stood on the edge of the centre circle kicking the ball to the coach on the other side!!!
End result, early on the ball was crossed to the edge of the 6yard box James never moved and an unmarked Owen headed the goal... James never moved. Lesson learnt for me, and used when coaching young goalkeepers. Warm up properly and train to improve yourself.

Another great episode John and Liam big Chris was an excellent goalkeeper and was unlucky with injuries at Liverpool he could've had a lot more England caps but for that. He seems like a good guy as well and it was interesting to hear him talk about Rafa Benitez the way he did, it just shows that supporters don't get to see the eccentricities of some managers that the players see. Keep up the good work gents and God bless you both.

Absolute cracker episode, what a well grounded gentleman & sensible in the fact that he was in a good relationship to help in the move to Liverpool, alway thought he was a top top keeper & in watching this he’s an absolute gem, hope he’s in coaching the younger generation now ❤

What a lovely guy Chris is, he was unlucky with us at anfield with injuries etc but still had a great career never the less, come through a few battles since then but looks in a great place now , always a red kirk, YNWA.

Great interview. I have just come out the other side of being addicted to Tramadol,I done my back at work 2 year's ago and my GP prescribed them to me. When the prescription stopped I was buying them online and it got out of hand. So pleased Chris is doing well now because I know how hard it is to come off pain killers. Great hole in one as well 😂 don't think it'll happen again on the channel. Keep up the good work Lads 👏👏👏👌👍

Very honest insight there from Chris about his career. I'm a Liverpool fan and remember his short time with us. Pity it didn't work out for him with Mr Benitez. Enjoyed the podcast and also the golf video as well. Some great playing and a superb shot from Chris on the 100 yard challenge.
