Just found your videos from a c/10 page on Facebook, loving the build so far. A posi and lower gears are definitely in my 86 c/15s future, the 2.72 open diff is a real bummer lol.
I have driven it. So far so good. But the gears they use are known to be a lil noisy. I have the setup in my 96 SS and they whine. I’m going to have the guy in the video take a look at it.
I don't like the Mobile deal the warranty is very important with rear ends & Transmissions and a brick & Mortar don't up and disappear after a few months like Mobile Specialists do. I would love to find a guy who was trust worthy in chicago area.
This video solidified for me that a rear end job is for the professionals. Definitely a lot more technical than I thought. Great content!
Yea I was going to tackle it myself at first but I’m glad I got a professional to do it!
Check out this you tube from Hagerty

Peace and blessings my brother
Appreciate it!!
I wish he was around Jackson tn area
Mike, how are the parts from Quick Performance holding up in the rear end since you swapped them?
Did you need the c-clips for the axles? I have this same gearbox, and I looked up this video to see where the c-clips go
I have no idea. I let my guy knock it all out!
@@CarolinaMikeGarage turns out you do need the c clips, I found them and they go in, it's just a snug fit. Thanks
Hey bro do you have all the parts # because i want to do the same thing to my 86 chevy square body bro
Dope video bro 💪🏽💯 I might need to holla at him. Wonder if he’ll come to Baltimore 🤔
Thanks bro.. yea hit him up. He pretty responsive.
Yes sir I do travel to Baltimore wucha got ??
@@jacobsouthers9162 not sure why I didn’t see this comment. I got a 75 Caprice. You got a contact number?
Isee he used the same shim from old pinion did he add more or that one shim good enough?
I have no idea..lol.. I left it up to the professional.
I did the same gear swap and stock is a 30 shim but mine needed a 38 for final spec.
What does that service cost roughly?
All depends on your setup.. my cost was around $500z
Thank you .
Thats a shop on wheels😂😂
I know. When he pulled up my mouth dropped.
I have 85c10 350small small 400trnz I'm looking for posi right now....will this be a great posi to slap right in??.....thanks in advance
Yep.. comes with everything you’ll need, except axel seals.
@@CarolinaMikeGarage appreciate you
What part of Carolina are you in?
I’m from NC but living in TX now.
I’m in Hampton I need his info please.
What up bruh. His info in the description
What was the roughly cost of him doing all this
I have a question about the shims
I had a mobile guy come and do the work. I don’t have any experience with the rear ends!
I just installed the same kit from QP. Have you driven it yet? My gears whine. Just curious if yours whine also?

@@CarolinaMikeGarage thank you. Nice video by the way. I subscribed!
Thanks!
Do you have a update from the gears whining?
How do you know u got a 8.5 how do I know which gears I need to buy I got 10 bolt
I think the RPO code in the glove compartment
seems like it would have been easier to just pull the rear end out
Wat store u got ur wheel bearings
I picked the whole kit from quick performance
Look up stangkilr productions..he built a 10 bolt 8.5 hes pushin 800hp! 93 obs chevy with an lt4 10 speed.
Will do!
Does he travel? I need him💯💯
He does reach out to him.
What’s the part number for that kit I need it
Do U have an IG page
I just selected all the options for my truck on thier website. Mine is a 10 bolt 8.5, 28 spline, 3.73 gears and I added the optional TA cover.
@@CarolinaMikeGarage ok bet I have to get mines done ima do 342 gears
Got to order this for my 96 impala ss will this work for the ss
Yep. I put the same one in my SS. Quick Performance is the way to go.

He was highly recommended and stay not to far from me.
