Thankyou so much for your excellent overview of the Evolve 30M and it's app. I've just purchased a pair of white Evolve 30Ms and they are phenomenal both in terms of their sound and looks.
@@raulmacias8682 I did an acoustic duo gig for just over 100 people the other day using just a single Evolve 30M and it was plenty. Admittedly. I wasn't blasting the sound but I got a number of comments about how good the sound was and the fact that it wasn't overbearingly loud but still loud enough. I used the pair of Evolve 30Ms for a new years eve gig at the same venue for about the same number of people and I had power to spare! The great thing about these stick PAs is that they spread out the sound without blasting the audience and you can place them behind you or next to you on stage without huge fear of feedback, affectively making separate stage monitors redundant.
@@raulmacias8682 I used a pair of the Evolve 30Ms for an acoustic folk gig with accordion, acoustic rhythm guitar and vocals for a crowd of 180 people and they were awesome to say the very least! I wasn't driving them too hard at all and I got a number of very positive comments about their great sound! The other day, I used just a single Evolve 30M for a duo acoustic gig for 100 people and it was more than enough.
It all depends on the venue and the kind of music. I used my pair of Evolve 30Ms for an acoustic folk gig with accordion, acoustic rhythm guitar and vocals for 180 people and they were fabulous, with plenty of power to spare! The only day, I used just a single Evolve 30M for an acoustic folk gig with 100 people and it was more than enough. Both times I got a lot of complements for the sound with people commenting about how much sound was pumped out of such compact speakers.
Superb! Called in at Music Gear Direct today to get a demo of the Evolve 30m... Ollie knows this tower system inside out and was brilliant and patient in explaining all the intricacies of it... I come from a background of big heavy speakers/stands and a big peavey mixer so was unsure if the 30m would have the sound I wanted... I took my tablet with a couple of backing tracks on it and plugged it in... WOW WOW WOW! What a sound, I was worried (after reading some reviews) that the bass might sound a bit thin... NOPE the bass was thumping. I walked to the back of the room to listen and made my mind up to buy there and then. For all you guys asking why there's no review of the sound/reverb, it would be pointless to let you hear it via your phone speaker, even through headphones. Go to your music store and crank one of these babies up, you will not regret it. As for Music Gear Direct, the guys there really know their stuff.. we left feeling more like friends than customers. Thanks Ollie and Rich.. Steve
This really helps understand the hookup and mix. Recently working solo again. Luckily I have a small gig that I can work out some bugs. First night I went straight into an older QSC K10, no effects other that acoustic through Paasac. Next week, I brought a 12" Mackie Thrash and hauled in my 12ch mixer, overkill, too heavy for solo. I purchased the Ev30m, 1 gig and I personally love it. I've still got some tuning to do and it really needs a bag/cover for hauling the sub. Little heavy, glad its not the 50. Response across the board, awesome, best sound yet, to, "I liked the Thrash set-up you had" to "little loud Gary!" perfect. I tried to do an in the trenches setup video, but didn't turn out very well. Maybe I'll try the video again.
.Can i ask you when you connect 2 Evolve 30 ms can you use all channel inputs on both units . I want to buy a second one but i dont just want another 30m to be just a monitor. Hope that makes sense .look forward to your answer Nick
This is all great, but my issue is everytime I leave the app, and come back to it, everything I did is lost. Also, when I turn off the power, and turn it back on later, the volume is blasting! Do you have to turn the volume down "before" shutdown? How to save what you have entered so it's not lost? Thanks for any answers.
question...the mix out is used to hook up another 30 m, where would that hook into for the 2nd unit?...so if i used 2 together, i would be able to use both units 8 ch mixers, 16 ch....also what about moniters, floor or ears, can they be used with the 30m?...what input would they use...thanks!!!
Great video. All I needed to know about my 30M. I'm a solo performer, but I'm thinking of using the 30M for an occasional duo. Can I use one unit for a duo with 2 acoustic guitars and 2 mics without damaging the unit? It'll be in a small indoor venue and volume will be in the lower end. Thanks.
This is perfect for that application. I've got great clear sounds from this already in my room for vocal and acoustic guitar. Can't wait to try it at my first gig Friday. It's plenty loud for an acoustic application as far as I can tell so far.
Very informative, thank you. One question please: Is it possible to save the individual channels settings/adustments, fx, eq, etc in the app? I love the app, but have to start all over every time. Thanks in advance.
Hi Jim, glad that it has helped. The EV QuickSmart app does have Store and Recall functions. From my knowledge, there's no way to save each individual channel. However, you can set the channels up how you like and then save it using the Store function. You should be able to recall the setting every time you set up - ua-cam.com/video/z9bBIPWOOZ8/v-deo.html
Wow, practically everything I wanted to know about my 30M system. I don't think the app for controlling remotely is compatible with an android instrument. I know I can't find it.
Thank you; very informative. However, what is missing, unfortunately, is a "kick the tires" sort of actual test for maybe 5 minutes. I own a 4 year old JBL Eon One. It is big, fat, heavy and ugly but puts out superb high fidelity sound! However, it is kind of USELESS without a MIXER. Why? The Microphone preamps are pretty pathetically weak. It was the same with my Bose S1Pro battery powered speaker. I traded that in (I'm in the eastern USA) for an EV EVERSE8. Wow, wow, wow! WHAT a difference! Superb DSP, excellent and clear volume using the XLR inputs. It is truly a next-generation battery powered speaker. I'll bet EV "borrowed" the DSP technology from its Evolve series! :) Well of course, you can only entertain maybe 30 people with the Everse8 compared to say a 100 people with the Evolve 30M so the buyer needs to buy based on his/her needs. To summarize, users/buyers would absolutely love to hear the actual output from the XLR inputs as well as the Bluetooth or 3.5 mm input. So many video reviews are obsessed with VOLUME, whereas it is the FIDELITY of the music and voice that is so crucial! Thanks for listening!
Hello and thanks for the video. If I have two of these and want a basic mono setup for a four piece bar band. Would I run mix out on the master to an input on the slave side? Which input would you recommend and how do I set the tone on the slave side? Thanks
You'd run from the XLR main out of the first unit into channel 5 of the second unit and set them to L+A in settings so that they function as a larger mono unit. If you want to create a stereo pair, set the first unit to left and the second unit to right.
The HK Audio Polar 10 might be louder at 126db compared to 123db of the Evolve 30M but it's also less compact and heavier than the Evolve. The mixer in the Evolve leaves the Polar mixer for dead, particularly the lack of effects and dedicated channel eq and dynamics. I almost bought a pair of Polar 10s but in the end. I went for a pair of Evolve 30Ms because they offered much more speaker and PA for roughly the same price and the polar 10s didn't knock them out of the park as you so stated so emphatically., besides the increased DB level.
@@madness8556 how is the bass on it. I went to a music store and had the member of staff test it side by side with the Bose L1 pro8 and it was seriously lacking. Do you think it may have been a settings issue? Honestly there was nothing there. I am going again tomorrow and this time I want to operate the speaker myself. If there is enough bass for a solo electric guitarist with backing track and a mic I will buy one, if not I will go for the Bose as that sounded amazing.
Thank you mate, hands down "best video" for this system. Perfect 👌
No Problem👍 Glad it helped.

Why is my speaker got a static or noise sound after an hour of used?

Ron??
No body demo these .for reverb quality
Para DJ não é uma boa opção, pois clipa muito rápido. For DJ it is not a good option, because it clips very fast.
I bought this and wasn't satisfied it sounds jus like a zlx15. Wish I didn't buy it
Then, could you tell me. what did you hope to buy???
Great for acoustic gigs. I am curious as to what you didn't like about it as you're not being very specific 🤔
weighs too much
The pa is for singing with reverb delay. U not do none of this. Dont give up ya day time job.cos u have absolutely no idea how to sell
None of them demo the vocals all they do is talk
