Started tearing up when he appeared at the hockey game, and they were singing the National Anthem. I started crying when he stood up on his prosthetic legs for the first time. I cannot wait to see this film. It reminds me of Bethany Hamilton a little, though it is much more debilitating to live without legs than it is to live without an arm. And then there's Nick Vujicic....a man born without limbs but continues to inspire all around the world. Nick's gone skydiving, surfing with Bethany Hamilton, and has a beautiful wife and two kids! All these people inspire us to keep going, even when something hurts us and tells us we can't go on.
Jake Gyllenhaal is an actor that when he gets mad in movies I genuinely believe it. When he cries, I genuinely believe it. When he smiles, I genuinely believe it. Give him a fucking oscar already.
Jake Gyllenhaal is such a god damn legend when playing a villain he makes the personality realistic and with actual depth and sort of likeable when playing the good guy he's completely charming when playing somebody who experiences tragedy he shows the dark and the twisted parts.
Why? His movie portrayed the marathon exactly how this movie does (a patriotic event that got bombed). It was a different part of the story. You just don't like Wahlberg. It's okay, just don't be dishonest.

I pray that the survivors find peace of mind and strength and courage to move forward everyday, for the rest of their lives; I pray that the lives lost may have eternal rest and I pray for the families of the victims to continually support one another, especially to the survivors and that those who have lost their loved ones find peace and acceptance. May the world become better and have less and less monsters. May we all stay vigilant and learn from our past. This movie is going to drown the cinemas with tears and Jake is such an amazing actor. Great acting by Jake as usual and the marvelous Miranda. Powerful empathetic and showing the altruism between the one touched by tragedy and the one still living ,albeit disabled. and the true belief in one's own inner strength which usually overcomes all. story being based on a true event makes it all the more poignant.
Being a huge fan of Orphan Black I was so happy to see Tatiana Maslany in action here and she is amazing yet again, just a first class actor and reveling in this role. Jake Gyllenhaal just seems to pick great material to work with and gets better and better each time I see him, a master in his craft and amazing here. In my top 10 movies I have seen this year. Will watch again just for Tatiana, what a huge talent she is :)
