His relationship with Kelly was very volatile she didn't seem to get him on the level that Brenda did same with Toni. When Toni died who he go running too? Brenda.. even after Kelly had a baby with him apparently she was still jealous of Brenda and Dylan is relationship and they weren't even together.The man's heart belong to brenda And, when Luke Perry was asked who was his favourite couple on the show in 2017 he said Brenda and Dylan he wanted them to end up together.... He is gone now So,Maybe with the reboot we can put pressure on them to give us that closure and a happy ending for the best damn couple eva. There is 1 thing that is kinda confusing I thought Kelly had a baby with Brandon not Dylan and I think had a miscarriage. But even if they did have a baby. They still didn't have the grand soulmate everybody could feel kinda love Brenda and Dylan have. That kinda love is eternal even after death.

Actually the whole Dylan leaving his kid is pretty lame by the writer's considering how he felt about parents who ignore their kids. It would have made more sense to have Brandon or Steve be the father (of course Brandon would never leave his kid or Steve) Neither would Dylan, but I guess the whole Dylan/Kelly ending went with it. Dylan and Brenda was true love, that's just my opinion though. Great video too :)
Evelyn Salt Till today is not clear wether Dylan is really the father. For example Dylan wouldn't left his own child if he is really the father. And Dylan and Brenda was true love.
Brenda deserved better. They not only cheated on her but lied to her about it.

i heard when the show ended it was supposed to end with brenda and dylan together but shannen wouldnt come back so they only had the option to put kelly with dylan.. so in a way we can blame shannen..lol j/k...plus i heard the new writers were a kelly/dylan fan and thats why they had kelly chasing after him in the new one and thats why he was the father of the kid. though my opinion was if he had that kid with brenda he wouldve never been an absentee father..

The writing in this show is whack. Why would Dylan write to Brenda asking if Kelly was in a relationship? High school Dylan had more balls than that. He wouldn't go through a third party, and especially not through his ex-girlfriend (who he reconciled with in adulthood, so they were more than high school sweethearts). And if I'd been Jennie AND Shannen I'd have had words about this scene. Kelly, not Brenda, was the one with "old habits." Brenda had the opportunity to steal Dylan BACK from Kelly in the original series and turned him down.

I heard Jason is supposed to return to the show but I think he's going to direct a show like he did at the end of BH 90210. I hated when he left the show as an actor. If he hadn't, I don't think it would have ever left the door open for Kelly & Dylan to reconcile in the series finale. And certainly if Brenda hadn't ever left the show, I don't believe they would have ever made Kelly & Dylan out to be what they did.
I know. It's like it was written for them, Lol. Their chemistry was always more natural than he & Kelly's, in my opinion(sorry). I just feel like Dylan & Kelly had a good story, but I never believed their love like I believed Dylan & Brenda's. It just seemed like he should've ended back with Bren because it always seemed the only reason they split was because of all the odds & NOT cuz they stopped loving eachother. It took K/D like 8 seasons to get on B/D's level 2 me, but thanks for the comment

I did at 1st too when I found out Dylan was the dad, but you know they ended it with he & Kelly in the original too tho which sucks. The spin off actually got rather good tho like the last 6 episodes of the 1st season and just when it did they decided to cancel 1 of the characters who started to have a deep relationship with 1 of the other characters but we know 90210 is good for breaking up good couples, lol.

The writers ruined Dylan's character on the reboot. On Beverly Hills 90210 Dylan's father was absent in the beginning, then came back, then was believed to have died, then 5yrs after Dylan found out his father had a new life and new family. Dylan would never treat his son Sammy the same way. Dylan would be there for his son. Problem was none of the guys wanted to make appearances on the reboot. The baby should've been Brandon's in the first place, not Dylan's.

It was thought Sammy could have been Brandon's or Steve's child. I thought Brandon because when Ryan asked Kelly about his father, she said that he was out of the country and was one of those do-good types. I figured Brandon was either not aware of his son or was just away on business alot.
Kelly O'Brien I watched the spinoff. Kelly never said who the father is. She only said it was a guy from High-School. My opinion, Dylan wasn't the father.
