Hey emma, while I do understand that, I generally have 0 problem showing off all officially revealed media before launch as that is the company's "vision" for their product. And even if you SEE a trailer and a small blurb about what your little grasscat or spanishfirelizard evolve into, that's not the same thing as actually having a bond with your starter and understanding it as it grows up. I LOVED the idea of my Hisuian Typhlosion... but it's typing made it weak to SO MANY things in a regular playthrough that I never used him :(

This is just my first time playing a mainline Pokemon game right at release, and I want to leave as many things unspoiled as possible for myself. But even if I see the starter evolutions (fingies crossed that Sprigatito evolves into something cool 😅), I'll still have most of the story, the dex, and the EPIC map to explore on my own 😄

I'm really hoping for the evolutions of the starters. I think for a lot of people it will be the deciding factor on who they pick in the end, depending on what they evolve in to.
I really think they ONLY revealed the Gen 7 Starters (Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio) because the ENTIRE dex got leaked. And with the situation we're in now, I'm willing to bet they're gonna reveal the starter evolutions because the entire GAME got leaked. I don't know why people are so obsessed with finding out what the starter evolves into. BACK IN MY DAY we just didn't have that experience and I kind of miss it honestly. Why can't you all just behave yourselves?!
They also leaked the entire legends arceus dex which showed the starters before the starter trailer tho and also people were getting their hands on it about 3 weeks before the game came out.
Frankly I kinda like having an idea of how my team will be set up before I actually play it, mostly because I try to avoid having more than 1 of a type.

Many people want to plan their team a bit ahead of time and don't want to find out the started they chose is ugly after hours into their playthrough..leaks are good as long as people put spoilers

I would love to see maybe more story elements and in game areas. We keep seeing a lot of the beginning of the game and I would just like to see more of the different environments

I actually prefer not knowing the starter final evolutions. It makes it a fun suprise and lets me enjoy each form more instead of just waiting until my starter reaches its final, desired form.
While I agree with that, there's also the problem of "what if I choose the wrong starter"? For example, in Alola, I loved Litten when it was revealed, but it turned out to be my least favourite of the trio in terms of evolution. If it weren't for me looking at the final evos I would've stuck with Litten and be disappointed in the end

@@adva1282 I "blind-picked" my starters for Gens 2, 3 and legends: Arceus (not knowing their final forms), what I will say is I have never been disappointed since I go into that with low expectations and I form a bond with the Pokemon over my journey, maybe it's not my favorite design of the trio, but it's 'my partner' and that's what makes it special, yeah corny I know. Also in the modern games you are not locked to using only that Starter forever, within a week people have bred theirs and are trading several boxes away to others, doesn't take long to find the one you want. So personally, I think the mystery and excitement of finding out in-game is better.
Austin's channel is the only Channel I go to for Pokémon information. His style is just so much better, no yelling or fake reactions, just chill and funny lol

Definitely hoping for starter evolutions. I couldn't care less about the story, it's going to end with someone we thought we could trust turning on us and trying to use the power of the legendaries to do something evil like time travel or whatever, I only care about what the pokemon look like and which games I can find them.
About the phrasing of the tweet, the Japanese version was not worded as aggressive as the English one. Although looking at the Bellibolt related tweets, they’re not that outlying in JP, so there’s not much to go off of.
I really want to see something about the supposed paradox forms. I feel like not only are the paradox forms going to be some of the main version exclusives, but a major feature that determines the aesthetic of your Gen 9 experience. That’s something that could majorly swing someone’s version choice and it feels bad to force players to go in blind on that.
Sadly this is their main plan, for them to go in blind without telling anything because these Pokémon are apparently spoilerific with just their existence and the fourth plot literally revolves around them.
Honestly, I really want to know what the starters evolve into, because my friend has this theory about Sprigatito that it's final evolution will be grass and psychic as a joke with an idea of roughly what it will be, like how fuecoco will be the chilli pepper pokemon but not chilli pepper something else and honestly the idea is super funny I just need it.

I'm seriously hoping its the starter evolutions, I make a decision on which im choosing entirely upon the final form since that is the one we'll be using for the majority of the game anyways it makes sense to know what you'll be stuck with. I do want to add that I will always be coming to you for pokemon info first before I check out any info on other channels because its just clear you get right into the main swing of things with it, no beating around the bush.
The way i see it is if they are gonna say you dont want to miss this it has to be either starter evos or a few new pokemon or a huge new mechanic but i do feel that starter evos are the most likely ones of the three
That's 4pm GMT. It will probably be starter second stage since Feucoco 2 was leaked, I'd like them to throw in Ice Dragon 3 and Fairy Hammer 3 then hint at Paradox Pokemon with Paradox Future Donphan. This would make me happy before release, as that's my full team being revealed.
I'm hoping to get a confirmation of the rumored mechanic that could explain why we saw hisuian zorua. But that might be a story secret kept until after launch. Starter evolutions could be a nice reveal, but I wonder if we will see starter evolutions that branch based on the game. The closest thing to that level of mechanics interaction was PLA having all 3 starters get hisuian forms
To be honest, I am a Gen 1 veteran and back then there were no spoilers or anything, you knew nothing about the game before playing and I loved that. I'll be happy to be surprised by what my boy Quaxly will evolve into.
I'm predicting that we're gonna get a new Pokémon revealed instead of starter evolutions because as far as I'm aware the Pokémon company has never revealed the starter evolutions before the games release
The Japanese announcement of more info made it look like Iono could be hosting the news; also that there may be some sort of “watch party”? Hoping for more Starter info as well, and maybe a bit more Version Exclusive information!
They might tease us with the middle evos, but I doubt it. With Legends Arceus it made sense as the middle starter evos were repeats. However with these games, the starters are all completely new and so it’s not as likely we’ll see the evos until after release.
If they go the dual typing route, I think the starts will look like this by their third form; Sprigatito: Grass/Fairy Fuecoco: Fire/Dragon Quaxly: Water/Steel
I really don't understand why everyone thinks they're going to reveal the starter evos. They're not. Don't you get that? They're not doing that anymore. They didn't do it for SwSh and they didn't really do it for LA, they only teased it a bit. Ik that a lot of people wanna see the starter evos, I do too but this time, I honestly wanna see the evos when I play the game. Even if they possibly reveal the middle evos tomorrow, that'd be cool but I still wanna see the evos for myself when I play the game. I honestly only want Game Freak to show me the starters' final evolutions. Like, that's all I ever want to see. I don't mind seeing a few new and returning Pokémon as long as they don't show tons of stuff, but honestly if Game Freak announced a new game and just showed me the starters and their final evolutions, that's all I need to buy the game. Finding new and returning Pokémon in the wild is a fun surprise, but it sucks to reach level 30-40 and evolve your starter only to have it betray you (looking at you, Fennekin and Litten), because it's more of a pain to get different starters once you're far into the game.
In all honesty it's way better when you don't know what they evolve into. I guess I'm old but playing gen 1 for the first time, evolving it into a charmeleon then charizard without any idea of what they looked like was probably my favorite memory!
I disagree. Your character is part of that world so it's natuyral for me he would make choice basing on information aboutstarters. Bit like Ash in anime. I don't know maybe it's because i watched anime first before playing games, but thats how i see it

Actually, the final evolutions of the starters for Pokémon Legends Arceus were shown. They were shown on some sort of page along with the other Pokémon of Hisui.
I think a good compromise that would suit me would be if they just showed the middle stage evos for the starters so we could get a bit of a sense of what the evolution lines will be like without ruining the surprise before you get to play the games yourself
They really need to be forthcoming with starter evolutions at least. Even back in Red/Blue(/Green) days, the final forms of the starters are what was on the box. We should know who our long-term partner is before the game is released so we can properly choose! I also wish they would get in the habit of releasing a list of what (old) Pokemon are version exclusive. In these days when we can pre-order the game weeks or even months ahead of time, it helps to make an informed decision on something more than just box legendary.
I hope it's the starter evos, at least the middle stages. Crocolar was leaked, so it kinda made sense if they show all of them now. But they are sticking to a schedule anyways, I guess. I'm really interested in Quaxly's evolution, all seemed so focused on Sprigatito and Fuecoco but sth tells me Quaxly will all blow us away.
I would say I really want to see the 2nd stage of the starters but when you think about it, seeing them doesn't really help with which one you want to pick, just look at torracat, imagine they show sprigatitos 2nd stage on all fours and everyone gets excited for a quadraped starter then it just stands up when it evolves

About the phrasing of the tweet, the Japanese version was not worded as aggressive as the English one. Although looking at the Bellibolt related tweets, they’re not that outlying in JP, so there’s not much to go off of.
I really want to see something about the supposed paradox forms. I feel like not only are the paradox forms going to be some of the main version exclusives, but a major feature that determines the aesthetic of your Gen 9 experience. That’s something that could majorly swing someone’s version choice and it feels bad to force players to go in blind on that.
Sadly this is their main plan, for them to go in blind without telling anything because these Pokémon are apparently spoilerific with just their existence and the fourth plot literally revolves around them.

Honestly, I really want to know what the starters evolve into, because my friend has this theory about Sprigatito that it's final evolution will be grass and psychic as a joke with an idea of roughly what it will be, like how fuecoco will be the chilli pepper pokemon but not chilli pepper something else and honestly the idea is super funny I just need it.
I think my ideal would be the starter evolutions (even just a teaser). That's the only thing I feel like is currently 'missing'

Back in the days when played pokemon, i never knew what the starters would turn into or what any pokemon would evolve into and it was more fun.
Remember SwSh didn't show any starter evos until 12 days after release.

I'm seriously hoping its the starter evolutions, I make a decision on which im choosing entirely upon the final form since that is the one we'll be using for the majority of the game anyways it makes sense to know what you'll be stuck with. I do want to add that I will always be coming to you for pokemon info first before I check out any info on other channels because its just clear you get right into the main swing of things with it, no beating around the bush.
The way i see it is if they are gonna say you dont want to miss this it has to be either starter evos or a few new pokemon or a huge new mechanic but i do feel that starter evos are the most likely ones of the three

It will probably be starter second stage since Feucoco 2 was leaked, I'd like them to throw in Ice Dragon 3 and Fairy Hammer 3 then hint at Paradox Pokemon with Paradox Future Donphan. This would make me happy before release, as that's my full team being revealed.

I'm hoping to get a confirmation of the rumored mechanic that could explain why we saw hisuian zorua. But that might be a story secret kept until after launch. Starter evolutions could be a nice reveal, but I wonder if we will see starter evolutions that branch based on the game. The closest thing to that level of mechanics interaction was PLA having all 3 starters get hisuian forms
To be honest, I am a Gen 1 veteran and back then there were no spoilers or anything, you knew nothing about the game before playing and I loved that. I'll be happy to be surprised by what my boy Quaxly will evolve into.
Idk why the Pokémon Company doesn't use GMT for events that are global. It makes so much more sense for an international audience

I really want starter evolutions. Most people want to choose their starters based on how they'll look when they're grown up.
I'm predicting that we're gonna get a new Pokémon revealed instead of starter evolutions because as far as I'm aware the Pokémon company has never revealed the starter evolutions before the games release
BTW if you look at when they announced the 14 minute gameplay on their community tab its almost the exact same as the one we just got

They might tease us with the middle evos, but I doubt it. With Legends Arceus it made sense as the middle starter evos were repeats. However with these games, the starters are all completely new and so it’s not as likely we’ll see the evos until after release.
My type evolutions are: Sprigatito grass/fairy, quaxly water/dark for whatever reason, then fuecoco either fire/grass or pure fire
If they go the dual typing route, I think the starts will look like this by their third form;
Sprigatito: Grass/Fairy
Fuecoco: Fire/Dragon
Quaxly: Water/Steel

I really don't understand why everyone thinks they're going to reveal the starter evos. They're not. Don't you get that? They're not doing that anymore. They didn't do it for SwSh and they didn't really do it for LA, they only teased it a bit. Ik that a lot of people wanna see the starter evos, I do too but this time, I honestly wanna see the evos when I play the game. Even if they possibly reveal the middle evos tomorrow, that'd be cool but I still wanna see the evos for myself when I play the game. I could be wrong and maybe they will reveal the starter evos but I doubt it honestly. I really don't understand why everyone thinks they're gonna do it when they didn't for the previous gen. I don't think anyone will see this comment but oh well, I just had to say it
I honestly only want Game Freak to show me the starters' final evolutions. Like, that's all I ever want to see. I don't mind seeing a few new and returning Pokémon as long as they don't show tons of stuff, but honestly if Game Freak announced a new game and just showed me the starters and their final evolutions, that's all I need to buy the game. Finding new and returning Pokémon in the wild is a fun surprise, but it sucks to reach level 30-40 and evolve your starter only to have it betray you (looking at you, Fennekin and Litten), because it's more of a pain to get different starters once you're far into the game.

In all honesty it's way better when you don't know what they evolve into. I guess I'm old but playing gen 1 for the first time, evolving it into a charmeleon then charizard without any idea of what they looked like was probably my favorite memory!
I disagree. Your character is part of that world so it's natuyral for me he would make choice basing on information aboutstarters. Bit like Ash in anime.

I used to be that way but then I got burned on Emboar, Litten, Delphox, and Inteleon avoiding spoilers like that.

Actually, the final evolutions of the starters for Pokémon Legends Arceus were shown. They were shown on some sort of page along with the other Pokémon of Hisui.

I think a good compromise that would suit me would be if they just showed the middle stage evos for the starters so we could get a bit of a sense of what the evolution lines will be like without ruining the surprise before you get to play the games yourself
They really need to be forthcoming with starter evolutions at least. Even back in Red/Blue(/Green) days, the final forms of the starters are what was on the box. We should know who our long-term partner is before the game is released so we can properly choose!
I also wish they would get in the habit of releasing a list of what (old) Pokemon are version exclusive. In these days when we can pre-order the game weeks or even months ahead of time, it helps to make an informed decision on something more than just box legendary.
I hope it's the starter evos, at least the middle stages. Crocolar was leaked, so it kinda made sense if they show all of them now. But they are sticking to a schedule anyways, I guess.
I'm really interested in Quaxly's evolution, all seemed so focused on Sprigatito and Fuecoco but sth tells me Quaxly will all blow us away.
I would say I really want to see the 2nd stage of the starters but when you think about it, seeing them doesn't really help with which one you want to pick, just look at torracat, imagine they show sprigatitos 2nd stage on all fours and everyone gets excited for a quadraped starter then it just stands up when it evolves
