Hi. In a minkota 36lbs can i do the same pack 4s20p and fully charged directly to the motor? I do not plan to use a bms because will charge with my IMAX and be caution with not dischrge too much
Hi I have a question about drill batteries. I have a Ridgid 18v 4ah battery pack. I noticed that the pack has a possible max out put of 40Amps at max load and speed. At full speed it last about 10 minutes. My question is can I use a pwm to increase my battery efficiency.
Hi! Very nice job. Some questions: What is the value of the fuses? Type or characteristics of BMS? What is the capacity of Approx made up of used batteries? How long does a trolling motor last at medium power? Thank
nice i have 42x LG MJ1 brand new , I was concern about the voltage @16.8 but it looks like the motors can take it although i am using a watersnake T24 i AM GOING TO BUY 2 MORE LG MJ1 to make a 4s11p pack - i am also finishing a LIfepo4 72 AH pack from some CAM72FI 3V-3.2V-3.65V Lithium LiFePO4 Battery. let me ask u what is the total weight of yours
Hello Reggie, this is greek to me! I have a question i own a VMAX lithium ion 50 amp hour battery in one description they call it a 12 volt in another the say 14.8 nominal voltage?? I run a 40 thrust minn kota with a PWM attached i recently burn out 2 PMW boards is it the 14.8 nominal Voltage why this happened????
14.8 nominal is top charge rate an 12v is fully discharge rate for longivity and full cycle life of the battery that is general with most 12 volt batterys.pwm is pulse width modulation that does not go well with lithium batterys as they requir cc cv meaning constant current constant voltage so a mppt charger should be used.pwm chargers send pulse charges thats not recomended hope that helps
reggie brightman Just checking I'm not have any issues charging my lithium I have the proper charger that came with the battery I run the battery through a PWM to my trolling motor for better throttle control and battery life. I seem to be frying the PWM Boards after 30 min. Of use. The pmw i used was rated 80/60 amps 14VDC might it be the voltage is to high?
i wouldnt say the voltage is to hi but it very well could be i never used a pwm motor controll but my guess is its getting to hot an probly needs to be ratted to 150 amp as the 60 or 80 is clearly not working for you if it were an over voltage problem it would pop right away
reggie brightman I can go direct but the PWM conserves battery life and I really want that slow rpm to move along the shore line Or combat the wind to help keep position no matter what the wind speed is. Thanks for your thoughts
Have you made it to spot welding, so easy to build and so clean, you can pre solder the tin with wires then spot weld

on my motors i go direct to the battery no pwm 50 pound thrust minn koda

Daniel Bui Hi, what voltage should I use for minn Kota 30 lb? I mean 3s or 4s system?
