Why is your output voltage so unstable? 12.86V....then 12.92V....12.88V and then after running the load for about 30 seconds you are at 13.04V and it continues to rise slightly. Is this because the lights are getting warmer and the resistance of them is changing? Or is it a component on the board itself that controls the voltage/current?

And 82% efficiency....is ok I guess for bucking 60V to 13V. Would like to see the efficiency for bucking 24V to 12V or 48V down to 12V. If you can get 95% or 90% respectively then that would be impressive for a simple circuit
An efficiency is not a result of a complexity, but a choice of components (transistors, drivers, cores) plus a proper soft/ic that makes PWM. All switching schematics are pretty simple (controller IC, transistor, inductor/transformer, capacitor). If you see some very populated PCB that means it contains several stages, supplemental PSUs, communication interfaces, protection circuits, etc
Hello sir i have a question. First tell me this is a only buck converter or mppt. A simple buck converter is quite different from an mppt.If this is a simple buck converter connect it with solar panels not with bench power supply and connect with fully discharged battery when battery wants more current but solar not sufficient it short the solar panels voltage and solar production remain zero.but if this is work on mppt technology it stop the panel voltage on panel vmpp range and provid constant current.
He even admits in the video that certain parts of the build likely couldn't handle 60A like the inductor.....bro then why don't you rate it for what it IS and put a caveat saying "If you do X and Y to this project you could likely increase the current to 60A"

81% efficiency is not bad Nice . But I like synchronous back converter because its More efficient and they can achieve up to 96% efficiency.

Can i use red inductor core instead of blue that you use in the video? Or can i use any core?
Can you demonstrate Flyback Mppt converter as when input voltage is high and output voltage low efficiency is very less.
