    Most of the problems with EGS002 boards arise because of the way the design tries to stop the inverter under shutdown conditions. Apparently the best way to address this while retaining the EGS002 board is to intercept the shutdown signal to the FET driver chips. To quote from OZTULES "Providing you ground the pin 13's of the 2110, you will have no problems. I did that by cutting the 393 off, shorting pin 1 to 4.. there are probably more elegant ways to do it, but that works...."

      Explain it better, I cut and pluck only the 2 legs 1 and 4 of the Lm 393 leaving the LM 393 on the board with the other pins on, plus pin 4 4 torn off will turn off the 393 losing the functions of the same, apply me better. Thank you

      i was told to remove R7 and C21, and short,jump, the C21 pads on the board, because some EGS002 have burned before, do you think that by doing that it will be better now?
      you have just cut-off legs 1 and 4 of the LM393, nothing else? @@aurismarsolar

      Yes, that's it; what i do, i REMOVE R7 AND i SOLDER OVER C21 ( bridge both sides of C21, this way eliminatinc C21 , bridging both pads; you may remove C21 or leave it there, same thing, this way PINS 3 and 6 of the LM323 are GROUNDED, it NO LONGER works, no more IFB, no more protection for the extreme HIGH current, but that's the price to pay, that«s what i want, i use FUSES on the outside power wires and i had no more disasters of blowing IGBTs , EGS002, even 1n4148 diodes!!!

    I have made one of these inverters too. With 6000va ups transformer, big heavy, and a bunch of toroid inductors in parallel. The thing does work better than expected, still less efficient than I would like.
    It would improve with toroidal transformer, oversized windings, and oversized toroidal choke.
    THis would probably mean 15 watts on idle and 94 percent efficiency over all loads.
    But I
    Ithink igbts are more efficient, at 25khz, it might make 99 percent efficient if you have all oversized copper windings.
    I dont know if it works with drop in igbt, but some say its about the same, it works.
    I also think these would be 99 percent efficient with the smd sic gan or trenchfets, that have very low rds on and low gate drive power needs.
    They could be soldered to the pads of the board without a heatsink, they are supposed to run very very cool.
    Bridge the d and s pins with the smd mosfet , and connect the gate with a small wire.
    That would work,
    Im just cheap, and am ok with the inverter I have,
    However, with solar, everything must work at 99-95 percent efficiency, the mppt, real name brand, the inverter, maybe gan inverter, and the wires, all oversized.
    Efficiency stacking is bad. so over 95 is good.
    That means less solar panel and battery, which is cheap.
    This is good.
    YOu might need just 8 mosfet inverter board if the gan or igbt or sic mosfets work at high current. It would mean less gate drive needs. But running the swithing devices in parallel gets a lower rds on in theory. I dont know how much goes to conduction losses proportional to gate drive losses.
    I think i might try igbt with a very small inverter project and maybe even redo the hy4008 mosfets which I use now, with 8 or 16 of the smd mosfets, the ones with the very lowest gate and rdson numbers.
    I think my inverter with the laminated transformer would still run relatively hot, because the transformer is the limiting factor I think ,
    Also increase bus bar size on board.
    If someone sells finished modified boards with link to affordable toriods, it would make for a very good off grid solar home system . They are reliable and well made I think.

      My circuit only has a maximum efficiency of 92%. It's not extremely high, but considering the cost, trying to increase the circuit's efficiency would be more expensive than purchasing additional lithium batteries and solar panels.

      Question; how big do the inductors need to be before the transformer? I am thinking of just making a 5 or 6 turn inductor with 1 big 2 gauge wire and a small toriodal core, just big enough to fit the wire turns. DO you think this would be better than having more core material and turns? I see you have a split core transformer with just 1 or 2 turns? Im looking to get lowest watt consumption, and lowest heat, with very high current up to 10kw.@@PhdHung

      @@PhdHung sqjq160e is best because of heatsink pinout. can be placed on to247 with ds pads and gate wire jumper. IT would be 98 percent efficient

    Can you create a board that can be combined with other units so they can be run in parallel? Can you create some kind of communication between them for global error detection, current sharing, activating or deactivating units based on current demand, etc?

    Hi, i used EGS002 along with conventional UPS Transformer to have pure sine inverter, but with loads heavier than 150w, the voltage drops from 200v to 180v. Any idea where to look at ? thanks. Feedback seems correct (always 3v at VFB pin).

      It's the transformer, I had a similar issue so I had to source for a 12V 1KVA inverter transformer.
      Problem solved.
      UPS transformer is really underrated for pure sine wave inverter.
      If you dismantle it, you will see that the coil AWG is too small for the rated power.
