- Drievliet is a charming family park in The Hauge. This Dutch park features 4 roller coasters including Formule X and some theming. But should you come to visit? Find out in this review!

heyo, local here! The road you walk over to get to the park is quite new. The old parking lot is planned to be replaced by a large indoor area a la Plopsaland including multiple family rides and a coaster. Although it is part of the municipal plans and the park has the permits there sadly haven't been any updates on this since ~2020. Hopefully we'll soon see construction or anything to confirm this is still in the cards!
Hopefully that indoor area happens!
I’ve been here a lot
This is my home park so to say
Formule X was my first real coaster and kicked off my coaster craziness
I love that you did a review about drievliet
It was a nice little park.
The parking you had to cross was the old parking which was in use until summer 2019. It got replaced by the current parking lot and connected by the bridge. The park has (or had) expansion plans, but are probably halted. These plans include a hall with attractions as well as a new roller coaster.
Love these reviews btw.
Thanks! I hope those expansion plans eventually happen.
That looks like a lovely family park. It seems well kept with attention to detail and all the greenery makes it very cozy. But the cute and quirky animals everywhere is the best part. For coaster enthusiasts, I would say it is worth visiting when combined with other parks nearby.
It is charming.
I've been working here as a ride operator since the start of this season! I have to add that, besides the park itself being rather nice, it's also a very comfortable working space that works closely with organisations that helps both disabled and foreign people find jobs and gives them a working space where their needs are met and respected. Even being a new employee here, I genuinely feel like I'm heard over there and there is relatively little gossip and nasty behavior between employees, which is a big refresher after some other jobs I've had. They really trust their workers, and it has never ever felt like somebody was breathing down my neck. Wonderful park both as a visitor and an employee!
I'm glad it's a pleasant park to work for!
Parks in the Netherlands always need strong theming game. Everything is being compared to the Efteling, always, by everone. Walk around anywhere and observe locals saying "not as nice as the Efteling". It's how places like Hellendoorn or Slagharen end up with darkrides, and how a place like Drievliet ends up with themed zones.
And yes, that old parking lot is supposed to be developed in the future. Last I head there was an indoor section coming here, though I imagine Covid delayed everything.
That indoor section would be really nice for them. Those areas are popular at the Plopsa parks.
The Hague is also technically the second capital of the Netherlands. According to the constitution, Amsterdam is the official capital. The parliament, the seat of government and the supreme court are however all in The Hague (or Den Haag in Dutch).
Interesting!
FormulaX looks great and the spinning coaster… is ummmh, interesting! Overall good theming and rides by the looks of it! I’ll definitely check it out if I’m in the area!
Neat little park.
That spinning coaster looks cool I wouldn’t mind that here in America that spinning makes the coaster very deceiving
I definitely enjoyed it.
Formula X and Kopermijn are the reasons to come for me. I wonder what that Maurer is like, how intense it is.
Formule X is the clear star for coaster lovers.
You said there was another family park about 15 minutes from this one called Duinrell. Do you have plans to visit that park in the future.
It looks like a decent park, but not at this time. Since the coasters are all rides I have experienced clones of elsewhere, I plan to prioritize the other parks.
If already got dizzy watching a twistrix pov I can't imagine how it would feel if I ride it
Twistrix is only for spinning ride fans.
Do a duinrell review
Haven't been there.
