Hi Rhonda- I’m so glad to provide helpful information for using eyelets- they really are one of my favorite embellishments- thanks so much for watching
Thank you for sharing your tips, tricks and hacks in using different variety of eyelets and learning how to use the cropodile in our jjournals. Great tips
Thank you Shonna, that was certainly an 'eye' opener! It was great to hear and see how to set the cropodile/big bite properly, it makes a huge difference to understanding them better and also how to use eyelets in many different formats, just fabulous! Thank you for sharing your tips and ideas, I shall certainly try these out in the future. Blessings and smiles 💜🙏🏻

Hi Shonna Thank you 🙏🙏🙏so very much for doing this video. I had bought myself a BIG BITE and I was only using it for punching holes, same as the hand held Cropadile......a lot of You Tube videos that I watch, used both of them but didn't explain the settings........So now I can have a go of using eyelets in my journals and my tags......Thx ya 🙏🙏🙏 Hugs 🤗🤗🤗 and Kisses😘😘😘 from Aussie Land xoxox

Thank you so much for explaining how to use the eyelet settings. I just purchased the big bite 2 and was having problems with my eyelets. Now I know what to do!
2 days ago I told my hubby I would like a big bite cropodile because pounding was ridiculously loud and my hands are not as functional as they used to be. Today there I was at Hobby Lobby and I wasn't even thinking about looking for one as I knew they were pretty expensive and there, near the trimmer blades was a lone big bite! Priced at $60 originally but the "your price" was $38! What a blessing! And the double blessing was your tutorial this evening! Thank you so much. I feel very confident that the cropodile will not bite me...(it does look very impressive ). I will conquer my eyelets in peace now. 😁🐧💙
This is very helpful. I don't use my cropodile often and always forget what setting I need. I will refer back to this video often. thank you for sharing!! ❤
What a great video!!! I did not know that eyelets came in different colors and shapes!!! I am very excited by this and can't wait to get some for my journals. Thank you for showing us the many ways we can use then in our journals!!

Hi! I'm quite familiar with eyelets and cropodiles but you are the first to explain the difference between a grommet and an eyelet. Thanks for that. Also enjoyed viewing your lovely journals and the different ways you've used eyelets.
Listen I have watched bunches of videos regarding junk journals since I started making them over a year ago…this is by far the best ever eyelet video!!!!!!THANK YOU!

Thanks Rose. I love sharing about cropadiles and metal embellishments because I really do love them lol I’m glad to hear you love your cropadile as well
Thank you so much…I bought a cropodile and have used it a couple of times…but really appreciated all your tips and info on how to use it…thank you so much 👏🏻👏🏻🤗🤗
Thank you for sharing this with us, I use eyelets and I have a cropodile, at first when I heard about a cropodile I thought they where talking about a crocodile😂. Your journals are beautiful, love what you made with the eyelets. ❤ I love your nails, they are great.
If you have the hand tools you could easily purchase the cropadile and then do any eyelets you need a further reach on with hand tools.. it is a tough decision.. over time I wound up with both and don’t regret either purchase
Chris, I used that "antiquated " stick & hammer method for decades. 🤣 I finally got the big bite 2 years ago. It's so nice to set an eyelet at 3 in the morning and not have to wait til the family is awake.
Wow! Loved your ideas for using eyelets! So many possibilities! Where do you finds the different designs and shapes of eyelets. I didn’t know there were so many! Great video! ❤❤

First time coming to your channel! This was such a helpful video! I do love my crop a dile, as I use it mostly for hole punching! As far as eyelets go, I seem to get perfect ones on my practice pieces, but when I put them on my journals or ephemera, the backs are often ruined or too bumpy! This video was the best I’ve seen on eyelet instructions and tips! Thanks so much! 😃
Welcome Elaine! I’m so glad I could offer some help. Only thing I can think about your practice eyelets is maybe the thickness is different. Thank you so much for watching
I have a love/hate relationship with my cropodile but your tips will definitely help mend that! Great ideas for using eyelets, I’ve only ever used them for closures or on the top of tags so I will be coming back to this video for ideas for sure ❤
Hi Steph! Yes, I’ve seen many crafters with that same love hate relationship and I always try to help if I can because I love my cropadile. If I can help further please feel free to message me. Thank you for watching ♥️
Hi !! Is there a way u can punch the deeper holes (with the crocodile) into the depth of your spine, to set your eyelets, before it is adhered to the covers (back & front) ?? Did I explain that enough to understand ?? 😢 😂 Sorry for ALL the questions. I have not Journaled for too long. Thanks so much. 🤞I hope u can understand my question. 🤞
@@Darlene717 hmm I have seen spines that have the signatures attached to a false spine and then adhered into the journal itself- is that what you are looking for?
@@FrappsScraps Thanks soooo much for answering my query. Yes, that’s sort of what I am looking for. I have the Chinch & wires bought already, so I am trying to figure out how I can use that too. Plus, I am also trying to think of a way - in not buying the most expensive #3 Cropodile - when I have the #2 one already. Is there a way of punching the holes (in the spine) - before the front & back cover are adhered to the spine. My head just can’t get around that. Too much THINKING for me. I thank u so much for thinking about this too, but do not get a headache like I have - like when I think about this. Everything will have to be measured and be precise while it’s first coming along. Do u get my jest ?? Thanks again
Great video! I wish this was available when I was 1st trying to use my cropadile! But I did manage and I do enjoy it. I definitely am a new sub! I love your outstanding artistry with your journals and your nice way of explaining things. Thanks so much!
You have presented us with such a wonderfully informative video !! Thank you so much! I, too enjoy using eyelets, and the different shapes are so much fun to use and add a special touch to projects. I must say, your journals are absolutely beautiful and I’ll be seeking out some of your other videos! You have filled me with inspiration and I’m looking forward to a day of playing with my cropadile and eyelets !! 🇨🇦😁
I'm also excited to finally learn the difference between a grommet and an eyelet, so thank you. I just really need to find a source for more of the wide and decorative eyelets now! Another great video. ❤👍
I watched this because I was struggling with my new Crop-odile getting eyelets flat on the back. I was using old eyelets I’d had for 30 years. Then I realised WRMK make their own eyelets specially - these have longer “necks”…problem solved. (Also they feel a softer metal). I hope this helps anyone else.
@@FrappsScraps Certainly! May I ask where you find reasonable eyelets? When I pull them up on Amazon all I find is grommets, except for a few really pricey ones. Can you use just the top part of a grommet or in place of an eyelet? Thank you!!
@@ddavis2893 I actually sell eyelets so my personal collection is pretty good. You just want to make sure you get the paper craft ones and not the shoes or clothing eyelets as sometimes they are so hard to set
Great video thank you for sharing learned a lot. When you are ordering and put in eyelets or brads I get something totally different very frustrating can you help me with that. Hugs from Canada
Hi Joyce- I sell eyelets in the states- if shipping were easier I could definitely help. When searching type in eyelets for scrapbooking or paper crafts and hopefully that will help. Thank you so much for watching
Eyelets can be a little tricky to find these days. I sell them in the states but you can also find them online. Just search for paper crafting eyelets. The ones for shoes you don’t want as they are incredibly hard to set. Glad the tutorial was helpful- thank you so much for watching
I have purchased some eyelets that have a longer shaft (not the ones that are made specifically for the cropodile). Have you ever used these and what do you use to set them?
Hmm I think you might have to go back to the hand tool with a hammer to set that style. I have also gotten some that are designed for shoe eyelets and they are so tough to set because they are made to be set with a machine rather than any hand tool..
Thank you for explaining this tool so well. Would you use the grommets in the same way as the eyelets? Is there a different purpose for them? Also some of my eyelets come with a flat circle as well. What would that be for?
Hi Connie- the eyelets that come with the added circle it is used like a washer on the back of the eyelets. Grommets are used differently and don’t really need to be set like an eyelet. These are great ideas for a follow up video. I hope my response makes sense
Where did u get your (card stock) print outs for the WORDS in your front metal JOURNAL plates ?? I got the plates but I can’t figure out how to print the different size words for the ‘WORD IN THE PLATE’. Please help me. 😂 😂 😂 😂
@@Darlene717 most of the printed items I use are from digital paper collections- I’m on the design team for a few of them but I think the one you’re looking at is the botanical book and that is digitals by RachandBella Crafts
Could I buy a few sheets of words from you ? Like (Journal , JOURNAL , JOURNALLING , Journalling). I can’t change the printing size on my computer. Or some that I can print on my printer. Thank you soooooo much. My OPENING PLATE of my (front plate for a Journalling book) is 1 5/8” X 3/8”…. Darlene.
@@Darlene717 the words I used were from digital printables from @rachandbellacrafts. They aren’t mine to sell however you can get them pretty inexpensive- maybe this set here www.etsy.com/listing/1027076458/
@@FrappsScraps I like this one CA$2.38 - 40% off - Assorted Labels for junk journals, in the site u sent me. But I was thinking of a lot printed alike to go in the frame. - Like (the word) Journal or Journalling or JOURNAL or JOURNALLING in ALL CAPS. That I could fit in my little Frame with the Journal inside and then glued on the front.
The way you use eyelets takes things to a whole new level. Your spines are beautiful.

This was a fantastic video, it has really inspired me to use my eyelets in many more ways! Thank you for sharing and new subscriber here👋
Hello and welcome! I’m so glad the video has given some inspiration- I absolutely love eyelets ♥️ thank you for watching
This was awesome. Thank you
Thanks for watching ♥️
Good information thank you
Glad it was helpful! And thank you for watching
I'm also excited to finally learn the difference between a grommet and an eyelet, so thank you. I just really need to find a source for more of the wide and decorative eyelets now! Another great video. ❤👍
Hi Pamela- I sell decorative or shaped eyelets as well and can work on some themed boxes- but I’m going to be doing scoops on my Facebook page soon
@@FrappsScraps Yay! I missed the notification for the last sale, so I'll be looking out for the next one!
Yes, great observations. Sometimes the eyelets made for clothes and shoes can be tough to set with paper craft tools as well. Thank you for watching
thank you so much for this video ☺
Thank you and thanks so much for watching 😃
Great tutorial! I’ve been confused on what to order to go with my crop a dile.
Thank you for watching
@@FrappsScraps Certainly! May I ask where you find reasonable eyelets? When I pull them up on Amazon all I find is grommets, except for a few really pricey ones.
Can you use just the top part of a grommet or in place of an eyelet? Thank you!!
@@ddavis2893 I actually sell eyelets so my personal collection is pretty good. You just want to make sure you get the paper craft ones and not the shoes or clothing eyelets as sometimes they are so hard to set
@@FrappsScraps Thank you! Great to know you sell them.
I'm new to eyelets, where is the best place to buy them from? Thank you for this awesome tutorial!! :)
Eyelets can be a little tricky to find these days. I sell them in the states but you can also find them online. Just search for paper crafting eyelets. The ones for shoes you don’t want as they are incredibly hard to set. Glad the tutorial was helpful- thank you so much for watching
I’m so glad I found you❤
Hello and welcome to the channel
Great informative tutorial tfs ❤ alison new subbie 😊
@@alisondavidson5962 hello and welcome! Glad it was informative and thanks so much for watching ♥️✨
Now that I am wanting to buy some eyelets, they are HARD to find.😢
@@janicebrinson5940 I sell them too actually- send me a message and I can help you out frappsandscraps@hotmail.com
Wonderful video!! Thank you so much! Where did you get your collection of the eyelets in the separated compartments?
Hi Lisa - I actually sell eyelets so I have quite a collection. You also can find them online just be sure you get the ones for paper crafts
@@FrappsScraps Where do you sell them?
@@lisawagner6076 mostly on Facebook- I do pop up live sales. You can always message me either on Facebook or frappsandscraps@hotmail.com
I’m sure you get most from Amazon, but you have quite the plethora. I never find shapes &colors, how do you do it or where? Thank you
I actually don’t shop Amazon much. I sell them- I used to own a scrapbook store
They aren’t mine to sell however you can get them pretty inexpensive- maybe this set here

Where do you get all your different types of eyelets?
Hi! I actually sell them but you can also find them online- you just want to make sure you buy the ones for paper crafts
Just to keep u on your toes. Journal is spelt wrong in your using eyelets in Journalling. Thanks !!
Thank you
Most welcome- and thank you for watching
