WOW!!! How I wish I would have had this video when I first got into making junk journals… so I passed it on to several friends to help them as beginners. THANK YOU!!! 💝🧵💝✂️💝🪡💝
Love this video and agree with X l😂 Ive always loved crafting but junk journalling took my obsessions to a whole new level. So much so I'm finally getting my own craft room. Had to kick the husband into the garden (new garden office arriving on Wednesday) but it's a small sacrifice 😂. I'm beyond excited...... And my other little obsession, my dog loves to curl up in her bed at my feet when I'm crafting. Can life get any getter than that? I enjoyed last years collaboration and loving this year's too. Thank you xxx
Oh how exciting for you Carol! You will have to share pics if your new room in our Facebook group when your settled. We have an event page running this month in craft organisation ideas. 🥰. Check it out. Thank you so much for watching. Lovely to hear from you xxx
Would like to say thank you kindly for the information that you provided. It will help me. I know Scrapbookingwithme loves your digitals. Great video! Some I knew but some I didn't. 😃 I love the way you explained the zip file! This collaboration has been fabulous! Thank you for putting it together! TFS! Hugs from South Dakota, USA. 🤗
Thank you Rachel for a very informative video for new and seasoned junk journallers alike. Kiss cutting is also when you cut out stickers without going through the backing. Lapbooks have been very popular in homeschooling circles for a long time as a way to create, present and store themed learning. I love your letter X the best! Your journals and Bella’s snippet roll are beautiful. 😊
Thank you so much for this, I think I now junk journal for a year and sometimes I think what are they talking about 😅.This is so helpful. Thank you so much for sharing ❤
Thank you, Rachel for sharing your JJournalers A-Z glossary definitions and for taking time to put this together and give it as a freebie. Very generous of you to do this for all of us. This was very informative. I just learn, Kiss cut, Tip in and Urban Style. Awesome! Blessings to you and Bella xx
Well done! Wish I’d had all this info years ago. 😂 Flew by the seat of my pants for ages, learning bits as time went along. Thanks for the overview/reminders and helping fresh journal makers who are just starting out. 👍
I know what you mean. Years before UA-cam, all I had was the art magazines (Stampington publications) and I would read how the artist did something or would study the pictures. Now I watch for relaxation and of course ideas.
What a great idea for a video! I was wondering what a few terms meant and you explained very well and gave me a lot of good ideas. Thank you thank you thank you very much for inspiring me. Not only this video but all the wonder ideas from all the others doing this challenge. Many I already have subscribed to for quite a while and a few new ones with inspiring ideas. I need to watch several videos by a creator before I subscribe to their channel. There have been 1 or maybe 2 creators of the videos I have watched while doing this challenge have impressed me so I much that I have promptly subscribed which is something that I rarely have done. Many of these creators i have followed for sometimes several yeardps. I am interested in junk journally for years and tried a few projects and I ended up extremely disappointed with the results. You gave me a lot of hope and the desire to get started junk journally despite my stumbling blocks I so far ended up. I don't have much spare budget to buy all the tools and beautiful digitals that some creators have created but I don't have much of a printer to print them. I've tried to print a few freebies I got but my printer didn't print them very clearly and they were faded versions of the beautiful images the creator showed. I also quickly ran out of ink. I did put together a journal with a cloth cover. I used a cereal box to make the cover. In the end I was very disappointed. The cover was very weak and floppy. The glue soaked thru and made splotches all thru my beautiful silky material. I put in a couple of signatures in it but at the time i only had printer paper and some old letterhead blue paper my husband used to use for his of his office. I tore ethereal headers off of most of these papers. I had some cheap inkpads I picked up at a 2nd hand store along with about 15 pairs of scissors that have various edges. They are very low quality and not very sharp. I tried coloring several papers using some old acrylic paint I used to use when I tried my attempt at painting. I have no talent at it unlike my brother or even my mother when she tried a few years ago. These pages stuck together to each other and are stiff and not very nice texture. I think I will redirect attempt coloring papers but this time using some instant coffee. I prefer the look of tea dying but unfortunately neither my husband nor I care for regular tea. I prefer floral type teas with out any caffeine. He prefers Chinese jasmine tea or green tea. Neither seem to have much color. I did notice that some of the teas like raspberry seem to have a deep red color. Hibiscus tea is also a very dark colored beautiful smelling tea but it is hard to get and if bought in bulk extremely expensive. You gave me many ideas as to how the can reinforce that floppy cover by trying a few things. I do have an abundance of lace most not cotton that I would use because they were from my grandmother and aunt on my fathers side. My father died when I was young around 45 years ago and we just seemed to drift away from that side of our family. Now years later when everyone has died many years ago I don't have many items from that side of my family so I'm saving and cherishing them. Many polyester of the lace seem to be polyester. I was thinking I could reinforce the cover by creating something beautiful and using a lot of lacey layers in different colors. I think i now have an idea to somehow cover over the current mess. I've been saving bits and I now got several different supplies but nothing like the beautiful floral images I crave. I must have about 500 envelopes. When we moved my 90 year mother into an extended care home we started cleaning out some buildup of collected items. I came across a stack of old envelopes that are all postmarked as from the company my father worked for almost to years ago.

So so interesting. Some of the terms I had not heard off . Kiss cutting, I thought it was all called fussy cutting, tip in? Never heard the term. We are learning everyday. Thanks Rachel ☺️
New subbie, as I followed once I saw Margaret he's collab. Love your accent! You sound like Aimee from kinging it (probs because she's from Wales!). And, yes, from a few blogs ago...I did yawn...and couldn't stop, so thanks for that! Very much enjoy your style! Greetings from Pennsylvania!
A brandle and an Awl are the same tool. The same as a violin and a fiddle are the same instrument. Just that a violin is normally played with a symphony and a fiddle is played with jigging or house party music. If that would be a good way of explaining the difference. So many words in the English dictionary where words can be used in so many different ways.. same word can mean something totally different. Anyone else who has ideas like this. Thanks for this definition. Now I have to rewind so I can catch what I missed. Lol
This was great and very helpful! I’ll be getting this list soon! The example of the open bound journal was so interesting. Did you do an video of how you created that? I’d love to make one like this!!
The sound the dauber makes as it is dabbed on paper has the same effect on me as someone scratching their fingernails across a blackboard 😖 Does anyone else experience this kind of reaction?

Lol
Lol. Thank you xx
Thank you🤩🤩🤩
You’re welcome 😊 thank you for watching xx
This was great and very helpful! I’ll be getting this list soon! The example of the open bound journal was so interesting. Did you do an video of how you created that? I’d love to make one like this!!
Yes I did but I may revisit this during the 100 days for a refresher xx
The sound the dauber makes as it is dabbed on paper has the same effect on me as someone scratching their fingernails across a blackboard 😖
Does anyone else experience this kind of reaction?
Yes sometimes, if its too near the mic xx
I am having difficulty downloading the freebies. Is anyone else experiencing congratulations this?
