I love that this uses spent or languishing supplies! Those would go so well with bookmarks, which I give as gifts with books! Also for bracelets! Thanks so much! 🥰👍
Thank you Christine, my videos will be here for many years you can have a go as anytime. Thanks for the compliment about my voice I have recently launched a podcast called The Treasured Page Podcast free available on anchor fm, apple podcasts and Spotify 🌿🦋
Thank you for sharing…. These are exactly how have been making these for years…. A refresher and usage are always a good thing to have. You do great work. I did not think of making them bigger whilst my hands are no longer very nimble.
Newbie here. I have been looking for 'how to make paper beads'... Your tutorial is the best yet. My problem is getting it started.... finger acrobatics.... 😅👏👏
(tiny wire folded will help thread easy, and yes even glue or clear nail polish at the ends of your threads will really make the sting thread faster.) Thank you sincerely for sharing, beautiful work. "God is with us in our creations" 💕👸🏆🙆🎖️
I love your creativity and and unique way of making paper beads. I have some very old washi tape I will use. Thanks so much for this outstanding tutorial.
I love making paper beads! Great tip using the washi tape. There are bead roller tools available online. They make rolling the beads so much easier if someone wants to roll a lot of beads or really gets into the craft…totally worth it.
Thank you so much I really really enjoyed watching you creating these cute and adorable little beads. I really really love ❤️ them all but my favourite kids the gold ones and the flower ones too. I’ve subscribed and given you a thumb’s too. Please stay safe and well too
I am a lefty too! When I was a kid there was no special things like left handed scissors, etc.. I had to use my right hand for quite a few things, still do.
Yes I totally understand, I think that’s why I use my right hand to cut with scissors…because we had to. Thanks for watching and leaving a fun message 🌸🦋
New subscriber here! Thanks for the video. Love this! I have many beads, but making your own makes the gift much more personal. I will make one to put on my first junk journal! I’m glad I found your channel.
I really enjoyed this video! I have many washi tape I could use for this. Always looking for good ways to use up washi. I’m so glad a ran across your video now I’m a subscriber. At a glance I can see many videos I will be watching. Thank you so much 🦋♥️🦋
Hooray, I hope you find lots of fun and value here at The Treasured Page. I really appreciate your comment. Thank you for your support and kind words. 🧵🦋
Great question. You could use just the washi tape on its own but that would use up more to create the desired thickness. Washi tape isn’t always very sticky but it does seem to stick better to a rougher texture such as book page. Paper beads can be made with any paper, plain or coloured, I used washi tape because the challenge called for it. I added it with the paper backing mainly to get it off the stick and ensure the bead would not be sticky inside. Any thin paper backing works great to give the bead more strength and structure it doesn’t need to be book page newspaper would be good too. Thank you so much watching 🦋
Any stick works, as long as you can handle it, and it allows a gap for you to thread, the beads. I think mine was a kebab skewer from the kitchen, probably 4 or 5 mm. I hope that helps. Thank you for watching 🦋
A bit confused- I didn’t think the English worked in Imperial measurements. Only the USA, Myanmar and some obscure third country did. Very backward thinking. I find it confusing as l only think in metric. If this video is aimed at the American market, fair enough but many of us internationally watch as well. Love the beads, now l know what to do with the washi tape l don’t like.
Thank you for your feedback. At the time of filming my audience was 95% American. I try to give measurements in metric as well now. I was taught many skills by my grandmother and learnt to quilt and make patchwork from America. Inches are in my head. By both are all lost on me anyway, I’m try to a avoid measuring all together and I mainly make it up as I go…in true English eccentric style 😉 Thank you for watching I hope you find more inspiration here at The Treasured Page 🦋

Can you tell me the measurement of your stick, not length but round please? The sticks I have seem thinner than the one you're using.
Any stick works, as long as you can handle it, and it allows a gap for you to thread, the beads. I think mine was a kebab skewer from the kitchen, probably 4 or 5 mm. I hope that helps. Thank you for watching 🦋
