This track is all killer, no filler. Gary is one of the best guitarists you (likely, if you’re American) never heard of. His work with Skid Row, Thin Lizzy, and all the solo albums, from his hard rock and his blues phases - it’s all amazing. You’re going to have fun discovering Gary’s music.
Gary was a very underrated guitar player, he never got the respect that he should have got before he died, R.I.P. Gary, your music will be heard forever, Cousin Figel
Very nice reaction, not enough people react to Gary Moore in my opinion. Alas this is a version of this song where someone felt the need to edit out about 3 minutes of solid soloing. For me, Gary is the greatest guitarist of all time, and his voice isn't too bad either. If you want to see a masterclass in guitar then do yourself a huge favour and check out his live rendition of The Messiah Will Come Again.
Gary Moore had a long career covering a lot of different styles but frequently returning to the blues. He spent some time in Thin Lizzy but never stayed long as he preferred his solo career. RIP
An amazing talent that Gary had. A proper player's player , very highly regarded by all. Pretty humble guy too. He also wrote some beautiful songs like this (with Philip Lynott) , Still Got The Blues For You , and probably the most overlooked is 'Empty Rooms' RIP to the great Gary Moore.
You have a new fan sir. I've been an huge fan of Gary's for well over 30 years, and a also a professional guitarist. Technical ability discussion aside, his ability to hit with such raw gut wrenching feeling is incredible. His vibrato is unreal. He uses it beautifully to convey such pain. Thank you for this. The Vid and your reaction are just fantastic sir
Gary starting off like that WAS him introducing himself ;) What more do you need to know about him? It clearly says "Hi, I'm Gary Moore, Guitar Wizard[TM], Master Of Sustain[TM], and this is the best guitar tone you will ever hear".
Gary was an incredible guitarist, I was lucky to see him on a number of occasions. If you`d like to see another side of him check out "Out in the Field" with Phil Lynott and Waiting of an alibi with Thin Lizzy.
As the immortal Nigel Tufnel once said describing one of his prize guitars, "Listen to the sustain." To which Marty replied "I don't hear anything." To which Nigel countered "Well you could....if I were playing it. I mean the sustain is just amazing. You could go out and have a bite to eat and it......" That's what Gary's note reminded me of.
First caught my ear in Colleseum 2 way back in ' 77 on 'Electric Savage'. Featuring Don Airey,( keys and still working with him on this vid) Jon Hiseman (drums) one of the finest and John Mole (bass). A masterclass.
Sorry, I am nearly a year late but that was a GREAT REACTION, my friend. For about the only time I did not mind your 3 pauses because they were made tastefully and now join 80 Million Others to watch THE LIVE version of Gary Moore: "I've Still Got THe Blues For You" in Paris :)
This looks like a strangely edited version of the performance. The closing guitar solo has almost entirely been cut out. I've never seen a more intense guitar player on stage, or heard a louder one. He had a reputation for being able to pick up his guitar and play anything by ear, and being quite tough on musicians who didn't meet his high standards. The Messiah Will Come Again from Montreux is a must see performance, as is his version of Hendrix's Red House from the Strat Pack concert. And there are more complete iive versions of Parisienne Walkways available if you want to find them.
My brother you should check out Gary doing a song called The Prophet. Either the studio version or the live audio. There's a live video from Montreaux which has a few rough guitar notes but you do get to see his playing.
He just makes that guitar scream for mercy, one of the most expressive players there is. So much emotion and feel! The general audience don't know what they are missing, but ask most guitarists and they will know... I'd check out some of his more metal stuff too just to get to know that side of him. Out in the fields with Phil Lynott perhaps for one of the better known tracks, but the rabbit hole is pretty deep. :) Oh, and Jinjer is dropping a new video on the 15.!
Another song from Mr. Gary Moore you should react to is Empty room. Then hop over to Darrell Mansfield and react to "Walk with me Jesus" live and "I found out" live. Mr. Darrell Mansfield plays the harmonica like Mr. Gary plays the guitar.
Of course that guitar sounds good, you have one of the finest guitar players of all time, playing 'Greenie' the guitar that used to belong to Peter Green (Fleetwood Mac etc). Combine the two and you have sheer magic.
Gary Moore and Phil Lynette from thin lizzy did a song together called "out in the streets" would make a great reaction. It's about the Irish conflict.
It was called " Out in the Fields " and you are right Kriss, It was about The Troubles. Part of the video for the song was taken from film around Belfast where Garry was from.
Hi, long time lurker, first time commenter. Great reaction as always. I love this song, yet I haven't heard it in forever. I used to play his album "Still Got The Blues" over and over (highly recommend it). The reason why I felt I had to comment is that you're right: These fantastic artists come and go and are often in danger of fading into obscurity. It's on that note that I hope I'm introducing you to another massively talented artist that no-one talks about these day, John Martyn. I've included a link to a live performance for his song "The Dealer" in 1977. I hope you like it as much as I do. ua-cam.com/video/ew6P_KoEPzc/v-deo.html
Sorry I failed you. Are you on social media bc ptx released their second original song off the new album and it's only writing credit is Kirstin and she leads the whole song. Also in about 45 mins depending on where you live ptx, Kelly Clarkson and Sheila E are going to be OPENING THE BILLBOARD MUSIC AWARDS singing Whitney Houston's higher love
If you haven't already, you really should check out Carlos Santana. Here's one of his classics, "Europa". It's an instrumental, fyi. ua-cam.com/video/SVI7ZDDQXKA/v-deo.html
"Still Got The Blues" will touch you in places where you didn't know you had places.
Gary Moore's "Still Got The Blues" is one you've got to check out.
Totally. Also The Loner. What a gorgeous piece of music.
Haha. And Irish. Like me
Gary was a very underrated guitar player, he never got the respect that he should have got before he died, R.I.P. Gary, your music will be heard forever, Cousin Figel
He is a straight up master. I've been a rabid fan for 30+ years.

Gary Moore and Rory Gallagher, two giant talents from Ireland, both passed too soon.
He is one of the elite guitarist of all time. Nothing more to say.
Gary opens his soul and bared it for all of us. His guitar screams, sings and cries, and so does my heart 🙏😎♥️
America had Stevie ray and europe had Gary Moore. Gary Moore was among the best
It's been a very long time since I've heard this.... Thank you! 🇦🇺✌️❣️
An amazing talent that Gary had. A proper player's player , very highly regarded by all. Pretty humble guy too. He also wrote some beautiful songs like this (with Philip Lynott) , Still Got The Blues For You , and probably the most overlooked is 'Empty Rooms'
RIP to the great Gary Moore.
Again again... oooh wait, you did "again" already. Lol
Thanks whoever suggested this gem 💎
Loved the strings as a beautiful contrast for that screaming, wonderful, bluesy guitar. 🎻🎸WOW !!!!

That dude is so in control of the music ...
Gary starting off like that WAS him introducing himself ;) What more do you need to know about him? It clearly says "Hi, I'm Gary Moore, Guitar Wizard[TM], Master Of Sustain[TM], and this is the best guitar tone you will ever hear".
This popped up and I clicked in a second. I am glad you got to my request so quick excited for reaction. Told ya the guitar was great!!!
You really need to go down the Gary Moore rabbit hole! Probably 50 different songs you should react to!
Gary was an incredible guitarist, I was lucky to see him on a number of occasions. If you`d like to see another side of him check out "Out in the Field" with Phil Lynott and Waiting of an alibi with Thin Lizzy.

This was the first song I ever heard of his, so it will always be my favorite. 👍🏾

Before Gary Moore stepped up to the front, there was the great Phil Lynott who also passed way too soon.
you are hilarious. My wife is trying to sleep and I'm giggling in the bed, with your comments. "No kiss my ass?"
My brother you should check out Gary doing a song called The Prophet. Either the studio version or the live audio. There's a live video from Montreaux which has a few rough guitar notes but you do get to see his playing.
Gazza don't need to sing that Gibson got his back

Gary Moore Live in Ireland 1984 "end of the world"
Another song from Mr. Gary Moore you should react to is Empty room. Then hop over to Darrell Mansfield and react to "Walk with me Jesus" live and "I found out" live. Mr. Darrell Mansfield plays the harmonica like Mr. Gary plays the guitar.
That was a tasty little morsel! Thank you for sharing!
