I don't think anybody changed their opinions. I think that it's the fact that they said their opinion, and apologized on the timing and way it came out was wrong. Widow was way too harsh, but again.......it's a fake reality show

honestly i found all of widow’s confessionals entertaining and funny. the way her storyline turned out is a shame - i think she was great tv and ppl seem to forget that’s what the goal is!
Remember 1st episode Ru had a problem with Jan saying she wants to be the most influential drag queen? Ru’s stringing Jan along to put her in her place as a lesson.
Gigi's vocals required MAJOR production, whereas Jan can actually sing. The choreo was better for Gigi, moved her all over the stage, gave her a lift and a much more iconic Madonna move that people remember from the Papa Don't Preach video. Jan's choreo was simple and not as dynamic. I am starting to get really frustrated with the production. For some reason, Jan is not the producers preference. I wish they would get it together and judge fairly.

Yeah it’s clear they’ve been pushing Gigi on us (even tho I actually liked her before drag race) Jan deserves to win but it was kinda Riga Morris from the start.
I feel like Gigi knows how to play the producers, so she keeps winning for storyline. Like her talking about her mom to the judges during the design challenge gave her the win over the other tops (like jaida) and here she knew to play into the story of "queen doesn't feel confident or do well during rehearsal but killed the challenge" story. Its irritating because there are so many other amazing, talented queens this season who deserve the recognition, and Gigi more than has what it takes to win without this favoritism
But..... Gigi’s choreography WASNT harder than jans except for the fact that she had a a back handspring, and a lift that required her to flip off at the end ... and the last time I checked NONE of the other girls could do that, so yes Gigi has better choreography because she could pull it off

Not that she has many looks I like anyway. Her padding sucks as well. I respect your opinion though of course, a big part of the show it's the fans picking favourites (:

I get it Widow is funny and I really liked her in the dance challenge first episode she was funny in the improv challenges too but, fake produced reality show aside, it wasn’t a good look to be so salty about Jackie’s apology she didn’t have to accept it but it rubbed me the wrong way since she was never in the bottom 2 and shouldn’t have been that sensitive about Jackie and Sh*rry being kind of the annoying theater kids lecturing everyone. The rusical and runway was so good! Everyone was great! Crystal is just great and I cant wait to see more from her!

Gigi has said many times that her mother made most of her clothes, she has money to spend on helmets makeup and accessories... 2. Gigi went in unprovoked. Should queens also start chastising other queens for not learning how to dance or sing as much as not learning how to sew or to improvise via impersonation? Jackie was throwing stones from a glass house. And Heidi really ramped things up at the halfway point during the lip sync. I thought her disco-y moves suited the song and everything she did was great and enough to catch the judges’ eyes more than Brita, who I think ruined it when she went in the fire crotch direction. Heidi’s wig bop to the song was also hilarious and shows how quick she can come up with things. I’m rooting for her. In this video, I felt like Aunty Chan had opinions and tried to play devil’s advocate against Dixie which could have been elaborated on more, but instead it was brushed off and the topic changed immediately after Thanks for the cat story though, and I agree that Gigi was mesmerizing. Wish this challenge had a double win.

They did it with Kennedy and many other queens. It’s definitely coded in racism.
Why is Dixie so snowed by Jackie?? I don’t believe she’s coming from a sincere place. Jackie is VERY intelligent, so let’s not act as though she doesn’t know what bullying is. I’m pretty sure we all learned in kindergarten (or earlier) that sitting in a group and attacking one person is bullying. And on top of that, she doesn’t need to be praised or given any credit for apologizing because she was being a bully to begin with! You don’t get praised for acting like a nice person and taking back the fact that you were being an asshole. I think Jackie is trying to control her optics and as soon as she realized she looked like a bully she was the conductor of the apologize train. Widow is going to get the villainous edit now, and much like Vixen they’re going to rely on people being comfortable with the “angry black contestant” to further the narrative. Dixie said we should be aware of editing when it comes to how Brita was being portrayed because they wanted a villain... but now that it’s Widow it “doesn’t matter. She just rubs me the wrong way”. Widow is clearly doing better than Brita did... but already I’ve seen people commenting saying “she’s got too much attitude” “she’s too aggressive” “she’s always angry”. Also, Dixie can’t base her opinions of Brita based off of what she knows outside of Drag Race. You can be the most amazing queen in the world, but getting on to the show can just mess you up. I live in NYC and I’ve seen Brita perform dozens of times. She works hard and she works a lot. She’s always singing and dancing through NYC... but that doesn’t make her the second coming of Drag-Christ. I think everyone was feeding too deeply into Brita’s ego... she thought she was the best and everyone told her she was the best... and when she wasn’t she was beyond confused. Ultimately I think GIgi deserved to win this overall episode because she gave the most Madonna feeling overall. During her performance she gave the most Madonna feeling, and even though her outfit wasn’t intricate it was spot on with the music video. Jan continues to give us a different version of prepackaged Jan every episode. I don’t think she’s delivered another character, but she also hasn’t really shown who she is outside of the singing, high-kicking, dancing character that Jan has shown from the jump. I think she needs to open up more and let the judges see that she has some depth to her. IMHO, Jackie deserved to be in the bottom. She didn’t deliver Madonna as a character, and she wasn’t amazing at the dance. Her costume was great, but everything else overshadowed the look. Jackie is also someone who hasn’t shown much personality aside from whatever she says in Untucked. Sorry for the crazy long comment. I kind of like Drag Race. A little.

I think GIGI was coming from a good place with the makeup comment...however when told that it hurt Heidi’s feelings she did the first thing that always makes someone seem not very genuine by saying well sorry YOU got upset or sorry YOU felt that way....and then started into the same exact thing that Heidi took the wrong way once before. Dixie said we should be aware of editing when it comes to how Brita was being portrayed because they wanted a villain... but now that it’s Widow it “doesn’t matter. She just rubs me the wrong way”. Widow is clearly doing better than Brita did... but already I’ve seen people commenting saying “she’s got too much attitude” “she’s too aggressive” “she’s always angry”.
Also, Dixie can’t base her opinions of Brita based off of what she knows outside of Drag Race. You can be the most amazing queen in the world, but getting on to the show can just mess you up. I live in NYC and I’ve seen Brita perform dozens of times. She works hard and she works a lot. She’s always singing and dancing through NYC... but that doesn’t make her the second coming of Drag-Christ. I think everyone was feeding too deeply into Brita’s ego... she thought she was the best and everyone told her she was the best... and when she wasn’t she was beyond confused.
Ultimately I think GIgi deserved to win this overall episode because she gave the most Madonna feeling overall. During her performance she gave the most Madonna feeling, and even though her outfit wasn’t intricate it was spot on with the music video. Jan continues to give us a different version of prepackaged Jan every episode. I don’t think she’s delivered another character, but she also hasn’t really shown who she is outside of the singing, high-kicking, dancing character that Jan has shown from the jump. I think she needs to open up more and let the judges see that she has some depth to her.
IMHO, Jackie deserved to be in the bottom. She didn’t deliver Madonna as a character, and she wasn’t amazing at the dance. Her costume was great, but everything else overshadowed the look. Jackie is also someone who hasn’t shown much personality aside from whatever she says in Untucked.

I think GIGI was coming from a good place with the makeup comment...however when told that it hurt Heidi’s feelings she did the first thing that always makes someone seem not very genuine by saying well sorry YOU got upset or sorry YOU felt that way....and then started into the same exact thing that Heidi took the wrong way once before. So to Heidi someone who seems very sensitive probably took that as well that’s not really an apology on her part at all. But in real life Gigi probably was trying to help. But I don’t really care GIGI GETS ON MY NERVES!

I honestly think it was not about who did it best, but who had a better Madonna, and Gigi's Madonna was the best, that video, as she said has this iconic choreography and Madonna looked STUNNING while doing it, Gigi embodied it perfectly and also, they probably liked her Michelle runway because it was such a deep reference plus she timed it so well.
