Regarding Pandora, I remember back in season 2 she said she suffered from depression and almost took her own life but didn't. I wish we got some of that from her in the inspirational song challenge since depression is something a lot of people are facing especially during the pandemic. I do think she wants to be there regardless of how she comes across. And who knows she might have been going through something at the time but wasn't ready to be open about it.
Exactly. It’s awful that the show and some fans expect the queens to feel comfortable divulging all their personal struggles for the show. Some people don’t want to do that and shouldn’t be penalised for it.

I think Manila is a lip sync assassin but only in a specific context. Her performances of MacArthur Park and How Will I Know are some of the best lipsyncs from the history of the show! But for a sexy song like Dirrty, it just felt like it was hand-picked for a Kylie win, no one would've beat her at that.
I think Brooke Lynn would have given Kylie a run for her money.

I mean I understood the critiques for Jan, the challenge was to write a motivational/mission statement song. Jan's lyrics were literally getting back at the judges critiques in the past telling them they're wrong, more like a "I'm that bitch 😎" song. But yeah, honestly glad she can go home now and REST, Jan just always seems like she's trying so hard to please the judges, which it's not a bad thing but it is exhausting to watch as a people pleaser myself, it reminds me of when I'm at my worst never thinking about what *I* want only what others do. I just want to see her have fun and talk about herself in more aspects than just drag race, talk about Stephanie's child, how she feels when she sings, her favorite singers and other queens, how she got into drag, etc, all of all stars 6 has felt like Jan referencing herself from season 12 and rupaul/drag race memes over and over again, I know she's capable of so much more!
I agree I liked Jan but those judges never gave her actual critiques on how to be more authentic they just said ‘stop being at 110’ I wish she was more vulnerable and told us about a lot of stuff she went through in drag etc. I think that’s what the judges wanted was a tear jerker story.
@@electraheart7745 jan doesn't have a sob story and she doesn't have to have one to be a valid drag queen. She's from a wealthy and accepting family, has a stable relationship and is very talented and successful at what she does! However RuPaul always wants the queens to be a bit broken or have some kind of trauma, struggle or insecurity. Which always annoys me, had to watch the same critique with Rosé, Tayce, Brooke and now Jan again. Hungry for those Emmys.

I know IMHO loves Jan but she deservedly went home (it seemed like the other queens were just annoyed that it was jans 3rd time in the bottom and she’s still saying “I don’t deserve to be in the bottom, I deserve to be in the finale”)
Alexis' makeup makes her look unrecognizable. I couldn't tell it was her at first. THE VERSATILITY, MAMA!
Jans critiques/this challenge made mkre sense than pink table talk. The rules for that were barely laid out and confused us and the queens clearly. This was very simple “wrote inspirational lyrics. Jans seemed more like a clap back at the judges than inspiring. If she had spun it into “I love how peppy I am despite what people say abs so should you. Be yourself, embrace your flaws etc etc it would’ve make more sense. But she kept it SO focused on just her and didn’t expand to reach anyone else.

Honestly, I thought the whole "it's a tie so Trinity has to reveal her lipstick to break it" was a bit anticlimactic... ? I was hoping they would make Jan and Pandora lip-sync for their lives. That would have been fun. Well, not for them, but to watch. 🙃

I would've preferred the extra lipsync as well, but when you think about it, in order for that to work, the bottom queens would have to learn a lipsync song ahead of each week *just in case there's a tie* which seems like a lot of extra work for something so rare

I feel like going ring around the rosie, which lipstick was picked, and at the end only one is eliminated is very anticlimatic.
@@slimdickens1799 Oh, that's true. I didn't think about that. Technically, they *could* just do the lip-sync for your legacy song since they know that one, but doing it right after we've seen it performed by the winner/lip-sync assassin would also probably be very anticlimactic. Lol

The MacArthur Park lip sync is iconic, she mopped the floor with Trinity in the "How Will I Know" lip sync, she absolutely earned her tie with Monet on that weird Aretha Franklin song, and the only lip sync she's ever lost was against Monique Heart, AND IT WAS A TINA TURNER SONG.
She fully is a lip sync assassin, she only ever loses when the song is tailor-made for the other queen, like when you, I dunno, choose a stripper song for the sexiest queen in the franchise.

I love Kylie and was so happy she won but I fully understand the critiques everyone has of the win. As an actor I see that she had the most believable acting performance in like the true sense, but not in the rupual acting sense. Rupual doesn’t want an Oscar winner, she wants a vaudeville star.

@Mandi W I mean, it was a novelty rubber Halloween mask smeared with ketchup... So it was about as tasteful as a Herschel Gordon Lewis film (which are technically considered classics).. I guess it just depends on the perspective from which you're viewing it. Personally, I don't feel any particular way about it.

Surprising I agreed with the judges (doesn't happen often) for these two episodes. I though that Kylie did so good as Jessica. The other girls did good too but she's the one I wanted to see more of. Also, I agreed that Jan lyrics were one of the weaker ones in terms of what they assignment was. I was very sad to see Akeria head out.

Episode 6: The judging was pretty fair across the board, I do think Kylie gave a winning performance but Michelle and Ross coached the fuck out of her. Then to give her Dirrrty? Against MANILA? Producers so clearly decided this would be the Kylie episode and worked like dogs to get the result they wanted. I’m not mad about it by any stretch, I think Kylie’s great and she grew on me even more this week. But the machinations were pretty clearly visible. That challenge started strong but went for wayyyyyy too long. Runway was pretty good but a step down from the last couple. Overall probably the most bored I’ve been this season, but it was still a good episode - this has just been a really strong season. Gutted for my girl A’keria. I think she represented herself really well this time around, her personality shined a lot more, and we got some fucking RUNWAYS out of her. I’m not sure why it didn’t quite come together in the challenges for her this time around. But it was hard to argue with the decision: it was her third time in the bottom (two of which I agree with,) she was the clear worst of the week, and I sure as hell didn’t want to see Ra’jah go home.
Episode 7: You know a conversation between Zaldy and Ru happened where Zaldy was like "you're wearing THIS one on the episode I'm appearing" because that dress was bananas. Zaldy himself was a snack and a half too. Everyone actually performed pretty well this episode. Even Jan and Pandora who were the clear clunkers would have been safe in a cast that wasn't so exemplary. I was a bit blindsided by the elimination. I thought the entire episode was leading to a Pandora elimination, especially with how the editors went out their way to show Trinity being super nice to Pandora several times. I'm really loving how the LSA are actual characters this time around. Alexis knew she was getting 5 minutes of screentime max and made the most of it. Poor Jan. I'm really not a fan but that elimination was brutal lol. Can we just get the game within a game twist now? Its lost its impact at this point

I love Miss Kylie and I’m so glad she won however Ak’eria and Rajah didn’t get a full on masterclass of what Michelle and Ross wanted like Kylie did so it was pretty unfair of them to do that then complain about their performances even if they were flat because Kylie’s started out pretty boring too.
For the Goth runway, most of the queen's went with 'Gothic' and not Goth, v sad :( would've loved to have seen some more colour
I thought the looks were more like a Victorian funeral . If this was assigned to Dragula I’m sure they would’ve killed it or Sharon needles .
I think the runway descriptions they get sent beforehand are more generic or can change slightly. So like it could’ve been described as “Gothic Glamour” on the list and then they changed it to “Oh My Goth” during production as a catchier title.
@@hallm3lbp I mean yeah, but then there's people like Kylie and Jan whos runways matched "Oh My Goth" more than anything Gothic, which has happened in this season already with other looks
