THIS is how you do an exhaust video. Straight to the point. No boring talking for the first few minutes that everyone would skip anyways, just the sound of the exhaust.
@@youtubeblows I have a 2002 7.3 and other than sometimes towing, it's hydra chip tuned with a straight pipe and I can't tell you how many times it's put a smile on my face. Don't knock someone for a car/truck they want, just toxic.
I love that wispy turbo noise as you are going fast, it’s just beautiful. I just got my diamond Eye 3” for my 7.3l OBS installed and will Be doing 4” out the back with a TS6 here today.

Veeeeeery nice engine ! quiet when stock, sound nice with the straight line, not a single speck of soot even with the foot down... if I ever come to the US I'm getting one of those back in my luggage !

SO, just over one year later. Do you still like it? What about performance, notice any difference fuel/ power wise? Thinking of doing the same on my '97.
Beau Davis -Definitely do it! The stock exhaust was so restrictive and the sound is amazing! Gas mileage is about the same still and we can’t remember if power has changed and if it did it was very slightly noticeable. We love it still; sound never gets old!
your rig sounds so much different then mine....it could be 1 or all of the following: you have a new body style and mine is a 94.5. you have an auto and i have a zf-5 and i guess its a combo of both; i can be in overdrive with 4:10 rears at 35mph..no duracrap sound from the v8, she is all turbo. that being said as with any ford big block/ diesel with 4:10s, 2000rpms in over is 55mph spot on. interstate she is making that small turbo sing
in your defense, when i worked for 3.5 years as a powerstroke mech at a ford dealership, 2010-13 i witnessed a 6.0 that would stall out, master diesel mech from 1985 (when he started on 6.9s) he took the turbo down pipe off and the 6.0 never stalled, my 7.3 did it, i cut it off...turbo down, that is my exhaust
Hey! The diamond eye exhaust came with everything you need, it bolts directly to turbo and uses all factory location spots for hangers. This exhaust is a full straight pipe too, no cats, no resonator or muffler. All the old exhaust isn’t used and this doesn’t throw any check engine lights or codes!!

Oh ok, I just really want my to sound like that, what’s all done to the truck when it was posted? My truck has a bit of bank’s performance mods so idk for sure that it will 100% identical to that but.....
Noticeably! I test drove one before buying the two I had that was straight pipe and it borders on annoying to be honest. I ended up doing a magnaflow high flow with a 4 inch all the way back and it was a nice in between sound. It’s loud outside but not annoying inside. Honestly it’s just about as loud maybe louder these days after several hundred thousand lol. I did lose some torque tho off the line as did my friends putting on the 4 inch down pipe. Not sure why that was But it was noticeable. My other truck now is stock exhaust and the muffler is going out and it’s a ranch truck so I’m probably gonna do this just to save money lol as that other exhaust back then was 750 and mandrel bent stainless.
Ruben Aguilar - Glo plugs and glo plug relay helped with quick start up. Starter would most likely help a lot, but it’s still the stock OEM starter with about 200k miles
I’ve got an OBS 7.3, and they are very very well built and reliable. i tend to drive with a heavy foot and it is running with 182k strong. the transmission is definitely the weak link though, and you definitely wanna take it easy for the transmissions sake.
Anthony Harris good for you bro! Honestly i would start shopping now. they are very hard to find in good shape. it took me 2 years to find a decent one. good luck to ya!

As if these things weren't loud enough already. I have a 2000 F250 and can hardly hear myself think if I'm standing at the back of it while it's running

Jacob English - in this video, pretty much. Only “performance mod” was a K&N air intake and that’s about it !
Why no smoke on a straight pipe?
straight pipe is so much better.

im think about just removing the muffler and riff raff diesel has a replacement pipe that makes its all straight pipe that way
