    You should put a compound turbo system on your truck. Compounds are not very common on the old 7.3L but they’re just badass to have and the sound is like a symphony.

    Wow. That Edge tune seemed to make a pretty big difference. Do you have the same transmissions, rear gears? The inter cooler tubes and exhaust tip, certainly didn't change things much. What tune were you running on the Edge? It's way too rich, blowing all that smoke.

  • @wmden1
    @wmden1 2 місяці тому +1

    Tuning for more performance is all well and good, I guess, but the truck factory engine parameters are engineered to be practical and to ensure the durability of the engines, and for pulling well, not to hot rod them. With the same care and maintenance on both trucks, there is a high percentage probability that the hot rodded truck will need engine work, or replacement, many thousands of miles before the factory tuned truck. The tac red line is there for a reason. As far as I know, my 1999 is factory and is plenty fast, for me, just with the turbo, and pulls really well, which is more than enough for what I need. Loud and long lasting. 288,000 miles.
