you can bet the stock truck worked hard its entire life.the whole point of a work truck.
Had a remote start for over 13 years now on my 7.3 and a 7.3 is slow as hell stock love them
I just did a turbo, injectors, hpop, and tuning. Brought the old 7.3 to life
gonna need a crank soon
@@454budmanno it won’t it’s not a duramax.
@@tommybragalone7943 17 to1 compression yeah go ahead and start adding that fuel bud. After about 400hp your running on borrowed time
@@454budman clearly you know nothing😂
@454budman maybe rods, not the crank.
Up in Canada I don't think there is a 7.3 without remote start
Mine Doesn’t have one… yet
Because no one wants to run out of the house in their boxers to start the truck in the morning when it’s -20* lol
Helll yeah I have a remote start with my 7.3 !
Yuhhh I wanna put it on mine
Interesting video. Only thing I didn't hear was what you are running for a tuner and what tunes. Are you running a superchip or something similar or a hydra with custom tunes?
Another good video brother 😊😊
Thanks brotha!
I wonder what a tear down of the 2 engines would look like. To me that would be the real comparison on 20+ year old engines.
If this on stock fueling? Also, what mode did you have the hydra set to?
What tune do you have on pretty insane that you beat him with 35 s
It's called a brake stand my friend. A burn out is from the accelerator only.
Replace the cobra down pipe to 3" round to 4" at the firewall out. Wicked wheel in turbo and a TS 6 position tuner.
You should put a compound turbo system on your truck. Compounds are not very common on the old 7.3L but they’re just badass to have and the sound is like a symphony.
you shouldnt put a compound turbo on this. That is the moron talkin.
Wow. That Edge tune seemed to make a pretty big difference. Do you have the same transmissions, rear gears? The inter cooler tubes and exhaust tip, certainly didn't change things much. What tune were you running on the Edge? It's way too rich, blowing all that smoke.
Tuning for more performance is all well and good, I guess, but the truck factory engine parameters are engineered to be practical and to ensure the durability of the engines, and for pulling well, not to hot rod them. With the same care and maintenance on both trucks, there is a high percentage probability that the hot rodded truck will need engine work, or replacement, many thousands of miles before the factory tuned truck. The tac red line is there for a reason. As far as I know, my 1999 is factory and is plenty fast, for me, just with the turbo, and pulls really well, which is more than enough for what I need. Loud and long lasting. 288,000 miles.
Absolutely, I just lost my Dad last year and he left me, along with his '73 Bronco, his '99 F350 Powerstroke CrewCab Longbox 4x4 that's got over 273,000 miles on it and has never needed a wrench turned on the drivetrain...ever...only work it's needed was the starter replaced in 2021...bulletproof and reliable...
what brand and model is that alarm?
What is done motor wise to your truck
No tires were harmed in the making of this video.
The tuned 7.3 also has the 05 to 07 upgraded grill and headlights
And what tuner is this?
Just picked an 03 with 145k on it, it’s the same way totally stock other lift wheels and tires.
Niceee bro! Got a lot of life left in her
I've got an auto start on my 2001 E350 4x4 with a 7.3. 😉
Where can someone buy a tuner?
Ole boy needs some friction modifier in that rear diff lmao
What rear end does your tuned one have? Two rubber lines? You’ve gotta locker or posi of some sort I’m assuming.
Superduty came with with open diff and posi, it appears he has the open diff
More powaaa
Yessuh
Can you put a hydra chip on a manual
Yessuh just gotta specify it’s a manual when u order it
So young lol. I have had remote start on my 7.3 for 10 years lol.
when will the merch be out? can't wait!
2 weeks from now brotha just ordered the first round.
What tuner do you use I have been contemplating buying one
Hydra chip
@@powerstrokecentral thank you
I got the hydra on mine! Its like a whole new truck!!
Is it possible to modify a 1995 7.3 and have it remain reliable?
Yeah upgrade everything and don’t put a tuner on her !
Yessuh
Banks power pack
❤
Just crossed 450,000 on my 1999!
And - NO - I dint treat my baby like this!!!
Ok the 7.3 is great. Mine would smoke both of your trucks and I have a crew cab 1 ton 4x4 longbed dually on 35s.
Van turbo
No intercooler
Stage 2 ninjectors
Adrenaline HPOP
Hydra chip
5” exhaust
But I think the big get up and go item is the 4.30 gears with lockers
Dropping 8 grand in upgrades to go slightly faster isn't that beneficial. Either is running 65 at 2300 rpm
@@zirzmokealot4600 if the run to 80 hes toast 🤣😂
@@zirzmokealot4600it’s not slightly faster. Turbo injectors hpop and tuning bring the 7.3 to life.
@@tommybragalone7943 a simple tune does most of the work. All your extras are just money down the drain. Let's haul trailers across country. I bet you use more fuel and have to listen to your truck scream doing 65 down the interstate.
@@zirzmokealot4600 why would it be screaming at 65? I had 330/150 injectors in my 6.0 and didn’t notice a difference in fuel economy compared to the stock injectors.
Which would be a good beginner 7.7
*7.3...
Your truck Ramsey is the better of the two i think. Looks meaner, got some dings in her, nice an slow, and runs nice an proper. Both truck's fellas are awesome machines. But Ramseys rig has my vote
It’s more relatable if a truck
Burn out is just stupid makes no sense 🤣
think i should start modding at 290k miles? lol
Put the truck in 1st and it might build enough boost
Dude has stock dirt!! =)
Why do the two trucks look so different for the same generation of 7.3s?
bc they changed the body style right before they went to the 6 blow
I'd rather have the work truck the only thing I would change is the oil wanna be fast trucks are for little boys
7.3
No way you get 18 mpg I get 11 in my stock 7.3
I have a stock 7.3 zf6 cclb 4x4 srw and average 15-18 not towing
People exaggerate 7.3 mileage. Yeah it might get 18 driving down the interstate unloaded all day at 60, but who uses a 7.3 like that?
Is your truck a dually? usually dually trucks get less MPGs
I have two srw f250’s. A ccsb and a sclb. Both tow every day and get 13 or 14 mpg. I have seen 19 mpg on road trips unloaded. New injectors might help.
that’s 7.3 not tuned sounds shot nothing like mine before tuner
I see your from Texas, not sure what part. Any good shops you recommend for a 7.3?
Not sure actually I just take it to my dad everytime it needs serious work
LOL that tip , looks like a poodle exhaust.
his truck is clapped
Why’s that
I think theres something wrong with your truck. Its smokes so much. Doesnt seem good.
Yeah it’s the injectors brotha they got 490 k on em
@powerstrokecentral it's probably that smoky tune. High egts. Not good.
Is the stock rig an F350? If so, what's up with the open differential?!
7.3’s are cool and all but they are considered dinosaurs 🦕 by todays standards. My stock Titan XD Cummins would waste that thing.
Yeah dude. 20 year old engines vs a new engine ofc it’s gonna be faster
7.3s are good work horses, they make enough power to get the job done, but not enough to hurt themselves, we have 2 of them in our busses, i would like to get a little more top end outta my girlfriend's 92, but otherwise it'll do fine for our uses
That truck is a pile of sht
Man new to.the channel its awesome just got my first 7.3 so definitely taken notes of.this do u have a IG OR FB ?
Yessir got both its powerstroke.central
i'd take the stock over that chinese modded white n
Yooooo
Yo
Did you just tell me that this guy doesn’t know how to do a burn out. I thought that was like common sense
Some trucks make it hard with the safety features like the 2021 f150 won’t let you unless you turn a lot of stuff off
