I will probably never get the chance to visit the South of France but you do make me wish I could. I am fortunate that I have a local bookstore in our rather remote town in the North Cascades of Washington State in the US. I make it a point to buy something (sometimes just a card) every time I go in. Having a bookstore in a small town is a privilege and I want to keep it around. Loved your taking a 120+year old travel guide with you. Awesome.
Thank you for your channel Lieven. Great and meaningful work! I also have a passion for books, and bookstores. I actually visited the Bookshop in Toulouse last year and bought a couple of books, obvioulsy. For myself and my friend and her children who live in Toulouse. I didn't meet Ann and Jeremy when I was there, but the staff were just as helpful and knowledgeable and kind as their owners. A truly wonderful place!
Dear Isabelle, thank you so much for your kind words. I’m very happy that you like the Channel and that you had such a good time in The Bookshop in Toulouse. It is indeed a welcoming place where one can find great books. I wish you a wonderful day and hope to welcome you again on the Bold Books and Bones Channel. 🌟📚📖🌟😊
What a wonderful job you’ve done on this 2 part video! I haven’t been to Europe (yet), but this makes me want to make that trip happen! A book lover’s dream. Excellent job, Lieven.
You've been away? I hope it was on a relaxing holiday. You do look refreshed. Welcome back! I haven't visited a good, cozy, welcoming bookstore in too many years, not since living in my hometown of Philadelphia. I will file this valuable information away in the caverns of my memory, and will hope to retrieve it when I can make use of it.
Hello Patrick, indeed my wife and I enjoyed a nice trip to the South of France. As always, thank you for sharing your thoughts… and there must be a good, cozy, welcoming bookstore in Philadelphia no? 😁🤔
@@BoldBooksandBones I recall many fine old bookstores in Philly, where I spent countless hours browsing before making a selection. Alas! I live in Singapore now, and old bookstores are indeed rare here. One used book fair I well remember was in the Grand Place in Brussels. Seeing it on a warm Sunday afternoon was a treat to my senses.
Mmmh! Good memories indeed. The Grand Place in Brussels is indeed a marvellous place... 7 streets lead to the market place. The yearly flower festival took place there a couple of weeks ago. So much beauty in the world :-)
You had me scrambling to pack my luggage and head to France. Beautiful book places, beautiful book people. Thank you for highlighting them with so much care and respect. They deserve it.
Hello KarenB, it is so nice that you like these episodes. Thank you for your kind words. I wish you a nice day. Please share the episode with people that you know, so we can support these bookshops together. 😊🙏🏽 Lieven
HEY!!! This was my private spot to quietly read a book in Montpellier !! Well... Not that quietly, given that the street is a peculiar touristic venue. But huh, let's say it's all about they ley lines and the orientation of the street. Nono, really. Seriously.

Hi Clueless Insider, indeed they deserve recognition and we should celebrate them more! See you in France? :-)
